GOOD: Trump pledges $1 MILLION of personal funds to aid Harvey victims

Trump is making a magnanimous gesture in donating one million of his own personal money to aid the victims of Hurricane Harvey:

A quick look at Twitter and you’ll see, mostly from the Left, that people are dumping on Trump even when he does something good like this.

I’ll admit I’m cynical about his motives (politically speaking) but I’m not going to dump on him for it. Real people will be helped by this money, just as they will from the million that Ellen donated yesterday and the ten million that JJ Watt is raising online.

So consider this before you comment. No matter how much money someone has, a million is a nice donation on any day of the week.

I should also note that, as you know, Trump is reportedly not taking a salary as president, so it really is money he made privately that he’s donating.

Kudos to Trump for doing so.
