Gov. Mike Pence: I would STOP eating at a restaurant if it discriminated against gays

Governor Mike Pence was on Fox and Friends this morning responding to the backlash against his state’s Religious Freedom law, pointing out that it was never anyone’s intention, as has been suggested, that this law allow discrimination. In fact he says he abhors discrimination, citing his own march across the bridge in Selma on the anniversary of Bloody Sunday.

He also noted that if he were in a restaurant and saw a business owner discriminate against someone who was gay or lesbian, he would never eat there again.

That said he noted that the legislature is already working to clarify this law so that everyone understands this isn’t about discrimination.
