I really like these new ads the Romney campaign is coming out with as they better represent the alarm and urgency Americans should feel about our current fiscal situation. And the ad below calls the debt and spending an inferno that threatens to engulf us all:

good ad. I’d like to see one like Gingrich did during the primary that was 7-8 mins. long. There’s plenty for Romney to use.

  • toongoon

So this is what happens when you give a community agitator a blow torch?

    • Sober_Thinking

      Excellent.

    • sDee

like giving a drug addict your AMEX card and your home equity line of credit.

      insane

  • FreeManWalking

We tried the fight FIRE with FIRE, in Stimulus 1,2 and now 3 and it didn’t work.

    • Sober_Thinking

I hope that fires up conservatives.

This is a terrific ad. This one will work !

Love this ad ! Mitt Romney will get us out of this firestorm and save our country !

  • Sober_Thinking

    Decent ad.

I guess he’s saving the heavy-hitting for the debates. There’s so much that Obama could and should be beaten up about…

We need to hire a FLAMING LIBERAL to run our campaigns! No one can play dirty like they can, and with enough money, we can even get Bill Clinton to whore himself out for our ads!

We’ve already got the Conservatives voting for Romney. So assuming we are trying to reach the Democrats in America with these ads, it makes sense that we should be speaking to them in their language!

      • RosiesSeeingRed

I agree! I’m waiting for the Romney ad which quotes Obama from his own book when he talks about Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers, Frank Marshall Davis… but will Romney go there? Or will he stay away like McCain did?

        • las1

You are so on the money. See my response below.

      • Sober_Thinking

        Lol… interesting point.

  • denbren52

A subtle way of saying that O is destroying our country with malicious intent.

  • Army_Pilot1967

Four more years of obama and the United States won’t have any money remaining in its treasury!!! obama would just continue to borrow billions of dollars from China or whichever country would loan us money. It’s way past time to stop this reckless, out of control spending on useless projects and try to get this country back on solid footing for the first time in four years.

We need someone who knows how to do this and if given the choice of Romney or Obama I am going to choose Romney who has SHOWN that he can do it!

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/G2LQVGLFOAWP7SGN37TCHKMUZ4 Michael

The idea of flames of spending engulfing the US is a great analogy and one that people can understand in plain simple terms. We all know what happens when anyone or anything gets so out of control that is consumes them or it. Very effective and very clear cut. Fires spread and the more they spread the worse the damage! Great illustration!

  • GetWhatYouPayFor

Agree with denbren52. Subtle way to claim malicious intent. Too subtle. You can’t beat this man’s machine unless you destroy his name. Doing just enough to win, is risky. The stakes are too high to underestimate the evil. The name Obama must be destroyed. Like Alynski preached, personalize every evil action. Leave no missile unlaunched. Our children’s lives depend on this victory.

Another fiscal policy ad. Yawn…. it’s serviceable… that’s about it.

    How about something like this:

Rather than putting out the Middle East fire, President Obama has been feeding it. He has apologized more and submitted to shariah more

It will take a small army of real conservatives to prop up Romney till he gets in the White House… then it will take conservatives across the country to hold his feet to the fire once in.

Romney is a ONE TRICK PONY… what pony is that?

Fiscal policy. America’s problems are so much deeper than the fiscal. Other than that, he has difficulty walking and chewing gum at the same time.

    • kong1967

I “liked” your comment accidentally, lol.

I disagree. I don’t think we’ll have to hold his feet to the fire, but I am willing and able if needed.

      • las1

I just hope you are right kong1967… all I know is that I will be biting my nails all the way through November 6th.

Romney’s election is no sure thing. But I pray it’s like the eve of a Reagan election. I really like the man. I don’t see any meanness in him at all. It’s just that he’s very weak on everything else other than the economy. And I don’t trust those RINO gatekeepers around him to let true conservatives have access to him.

P.S. I didn’t hesitate to “like” your post.

        • kong1967

Lol, you’re hilarious!! “I didn’t hesitate to “like” your post.” You got me, and I almost fell on the floor laughing so hard.

The only reason I didn’t want to “like” your post is I thought you were way to harsh on Romney. However, I understand where the sentiment comes from and why. I used to be just as hard on him. I disagree now is all….but I realize you could be right and I could be putting too much faith in him.

I was pretty relieved with the “secret” videos of Romney that RS posted. He really seems to understand the Middle East, not like the appeaser in chief we have now.

So….let’s get our a$$ kicking boots on just in case we need them, lol. :)

          • las1

Maybe I am hard on Romney. I’m just very concerned that the clock is ticking and his ads focus exclusively on the economy. And this is a problem because the malfeasance and extremist radicalism of Obama IS an easy issue that CAN be sold to the American public quite simply if the Romney camp only just does it.

Exposing WHO exactly Obama is to the public plants doubt in the electorate. By using ads to sell the message that “Obama is an extremist subversive” and backing it up with the well documented evidence that’s out there, the Americans will vote Romney… even many Democrats I dare say. But Romney’s RINO camp is squandering the opportunity and going McCain on us.

I remember Sununu saying that, “just wait till the convention is over then we will unleash him”…. well…. Mr. Sununu…. we’re waiting. Unleash what? More fiscal conservative ads!

If Romney wins… we can breathe a partial sigh of relief. But if he loses we can go back and rip apart Rove and all the establishment conservatives and RINOs. But what good will it do us? They were the problem from the beginning and they will have been responsible for forcing on the conservatives a weak candidate like Romney. But it will be too late by then… the Republic will be lost.

That’s why I’m biting my nails. And it pi$$es me off that RINOs are forcing us down this road.

            • kong1967

I don’t want to count my chickens before the eggs hatch, but I don’t see how Obama can win. A poll showed 9% of people that voted for Obama are voting for Romney. If that’s solid, that fact alone is insurmountable by Obama. That’s an 18 point swing. A lot of other reasons, too, and nothing short of massive fraud is going to win this for Obama. I guess the lie they will push for the October surprise could change things up, too.

I think Romney will bring out foreign policy more in the future.

    Obama must go America!

mitt romney: nicely telling america how it is…

  • http://hehasfailed.wordpress.com/ HopeHeFails

This isn’t going to get it. Romney needs to get to the colleges and win some hearts and minds there that they are on the hook for this Obama spending spree and international foreign policy collapse and energy crisis.

Meanwhile…..Barry and crew party down to the song “Disco Inferno”

    “BURN BABY BURN!!!!”

  • 12grace

    Love it.

  • kong1967

Obama said the same thing, but he’s never told the truth about anything. I actually believe Romney will try. But it is dependent on Congress and the Senate.

  • scrubjay

Perfect word association for the root of Obama’s politics: “Prairie Fire”.

When looking at a company would Mitt only look at its debt and ignore its assets? What are the Federal assets we are leaving our children? I suspect they are 10 times the debt. If I leave my kids $1 million in debt and $10 million in land, buildings, and other assets they will be happy.
