Hagel says that if he could go back and edit or change some of his remarks discussed in the hearing today, he would:

On a related note, Twitchy found this today which suggests otherwise.

Well Chuck, it's too late. You are just what the Islamo-fascist, anti-Israeli wanted for Sec Def. I'm betting it ain't gonna happen, Slick. You and Kerry, like your boss Obama are traitors and should be in jail, not in positions of any authority.

Does this idiot know that there really aren't such things as time machines, transporters, or Klingons?

You and every other politician wishes that.

Remember, it will only take 5 idiot Republicans to stand with the Democrats to affirm him.

Do you think we can find 5 idiots?

I am absolutely certain we can.

McCain, Graham, Chambliss, Paul, Collins, Blunt, Alexander, Flake.... Oops, more than five.

I wish he'd go back to where he came from and never come back. When the government fears the people there is liberty but when the people fear the government there is tyranny.

Pretty soon, the entire Obama administration will be participating in the " OJT " program.

I wonder if we can survive their learning curve.

People typically say what they thought. What he says now isn't what he thought at the time, or else he would have said it. But I do agree that he would like to have the ability to change what he said--not because it isn't what he thought, but because he doesn't want people to know that's what he thought.

This is called a confirmation conversion. I don't trust him.

Yeah, don't you just hate it when you can't un-say stupid statements.

Hagel is an embarrassment. This is the type of people who have been running this country and get elected time and time again.

Who will Obama put up for his next opening, Al Franken or Michael Moore.

You are too stupid to be Secretary of Defense.

That would make him even more of a perfect fit for the administration of Zero.

I understand the State Department has been loaded with communists since FDR, but why didn't they light up John Kerry-Heinz like this?

I'm sure there are a great many things you wish you'd never said.

The days of the telegraph and the horse and buggy are long gone... if you even poop sideways, someone knows.

It's sad this this amount of scrutiny wasn't applied to John Kerry, Benghazi (and thrown in Hillary's face), and especially Obama. Imagine all the things Obama wishes he never said... oh wait, we already know many of them... and yet the media covered up for him and the average American ignored the warnings. Nice...

It seems to me the entire charade that we have a representative government, has been dropped.

All that is needed for President or Cabinet or any Agency head is to put a loyal near-intelligent appearing political yes-man in place who will take orders from the puppet masters.

All that was proven here is that Hagel can not appear even near-intelligent. Next nominee please.

"Hagel: I wish I had a time machine to go back and change what I said".

I'll bet you do, now that you're trying to get this job. Actions have consequences, slick. Sometimes, even for politicians. ;-)

Look at us. How far we have fallen. With no shame, our Senate puts on show like this for the world to see, To have in nomination, for Secretary of the worlds greatest military force, a sniveling, incompetent anti-Semitic, islamist appeasing creep.

It boggles my mind how we've come to where we are today. Obama, Kerry, et al. Just boggles me...sigh. I feel so bad for our military folk.

Torpedo's away!

But will he sink?

Gee, with half of that I would expect him to withdraw.

But looking at the other puppets from this administration.. that weren't blasted to oblivion...

Nope. The Democraps have his back and judging by the Kerry confirmation, so do the Republicants.

It appears everyone in the Senate is playing by the Senate Club Rules: "Make it appear that you (Senator) don't support the nominee; come across on television as being very upset and disappointed with the administration's hand-picked nominee; make sound bites for CBS/NBC/Fox News that illustrate your disappointment." But when it's time to vote for confirmation, make certain that you vote "Yes."

Love this from Twitter: Any Jew that supports Hagel is a JINO (from Ben Shapiro), Jew in Name Only

C'mon Sen Hagel; let's be honest. You're not interested in Israel's security any more than the Islamists.

If I may add to your great thought: C'mon Sen Hagel, let's be honest. You're not interested in America's security any more than Israel's are you? You'd like to see the radical jihadists wipe the earth of all Christians and Jews wouldn't you.

A question for you Mr. Hagel, now that Ted Cruz fellow is and exceptional fellow now isn't he? That would be a yes or no answer Mr Hagel. Mr Hagel yes or no that Ted Cruz is an exceptional fellow? Mr. Hagel, Mr. Hagel, yes or no Mr. Hagel!!! Answer the question yes or no......yes or no..... oh forget it, go home.

Great words of widom from Mr Hagel, I couldn't help noticing which finger Mr Hagel is holding up while checking the direction the wind's are blowing? and by Mr Hagel response, sure sounds like it blowing from the direction of a RINO.

And I wish I had a time machine to go all the way back before Woodrow Wilson and start educating people to recognize the progressive movement and show what happens to this country if you allow it to continue. But, and I quote Hitlary's famous phrase: "WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE??"

Either way, you are a fraud and you deserved the treatment you got today. There is no way in hell would guys like Ted Cruz (which I am honored to call my own senator!) allow you to get away with your demeanor without repeurcussions!

Talk about time travel...I go back to see if I could stop the lady from the show Star Trek - Voyager "7 of 9" from sacking her husband that was going to win the senate sit weeks before the election, which aloud Obama the door to win and become a senator in the 1st place.

If that 1 action never happened, we all would not even know who Obama is today.

Odds are we would be dealling with Ms. Clinton, but I pick her over Obama any day. So now we have to deal with her in 2016.

Crazy how one thing happens and the trickle effect it can cause.

Shocked, I'm telling ya just shocked! And the RINOs asked, would you change your position today? Hagel responds, I would look at my choice of words.....
