If you want to understand “New York Values,” all you have to do is check out the reason that Donald Trump endorsed a far-left race-mongering literally-Socialist for the mayor’s office in New York City.
Yup. Just like with everything else, there was one principle by which Trump determined whether to endorse DeBlasio or not – whether he was willing to flatter the insecure real estate magnate.
Don’t believe me? He’s literally said that he likes Putin just because he called Trump “brilliant,” and he’s made excuses for his murdering of journalists and military aggression.
And what an endorsement:
“I think he’s a smart guy that knows what’s going on really big league and I think he is not going to want to destroy New York,” Trump said. “I think he is going to want to make New York great.”
“Make New York great”? The best he could come up with is that he’s not going to destroy New York? That’s a pretty low bar for an endorsement, but in this case, he gave to the Socialist Democrat rather than help out the beleaguered Republican.
Now that’s some “New York Values” for ya!!
UPDATE (TRS): I just want to add something to this.
This is the same guy who thinks his judgement is better than everyone else’s judgement.
This is the same guy who wants you to believe he’s been a conservative for a long time.
This is the same guy who, if elected, will be nominating justices to the Supreme Court.
Need I remind you that just over a year later, this happened:
