The Oscar Academy tried to pay reparations for white people last year by giving the best picture award to “Twelve Years a Slave,” but as they’re learning this year, it’s not a one-year project, you have to pay the racebaiting pied piper every year!
oscars r racist trash this yr (more thn usual anyway), the only possible good that can happen is selma winning BP & that wont happen

#13: Selma won’t win anything, as it's only in two tough categories, and because @TheAcademy is a racist hive of scum and villainy #Oscars

Haven't seen #Selma can't judge it, but I *can't* w/Academy's 'We're not racist! We chose 12YAS!' Bet they have black friends, too. #Oscars

When people think the Oscars aren't racist just because Selma is nominated. pic.twitter.com/nlgfUoPUzE

Selma snub wasn't racist! Yes, the Academy is 6000 65-year old white guys, but they're all democratic patriots! pic.twitter.com/99fGG7ySKG

It makes me sad that just because no actors from Selma are nommed, the academy is racist, when many Italians, Mexicans and others are nommed

And once again, it's gross insanity that Wild was not nominated for Best Picture & Selma received no acting noms. #BROscars #OscarsSoWhite

I'm serious. The Oscars will not get my view Sunday. They can forever go to hell. #Selma #OscarsSoWhite and never love for women either smh.

Others fought back against the idea that the only reason Selma could lose is because of racism:
It's not racist to say "Selma" was barely good enough to be a made for Television flick. #Oscars

So if Selma doesn't win the oscars are racist? What if Selma just isn't as good as the other movies?
— Boogie Bousins (@bansky) February 22, 2015
"It's racist that the Oscars only gave Selma a few nominations. I mean, I didn't see it, I saw Taken 3 instead, but it's racist."
— zak (@ZakKondratenko) February 22, 2015
It’s always raaaaacism! It can’t be that “Selma” just isn’t a good movie, and if it isn’t, the Oscars need affirmative action for all the slavery movies it produced! Darn it.
