A Democrat came on Megyn Kelly’s show tonight to criticize a recent ad by Americans for Prosperity about a Michigan mother who is fighting Leukemia. She lost her health care plan because of Obamacare and the current plan she has leaves her with something she can’t budget for, potential getting bills she can’t afford. Also on the show with the Democrat is the woman in question with Leukemia. They weren’t on at exactly the same time, the Democrat went first and Megyn finished letting the woman answer his claims.
What struck me about the segment was how the Democrat deferred little to the woman’s insurance plight, claiming she was better off because she has a cap on out of pocket costs at just over $6k. Megyn Kelly made the woman’s point for her, arguing that it’s the out of pocket cost that she can’t afford with this plan. With her current plan she could get a bill for $3k and she doesn’t have that kind of money saved up. She can’t afford that. But the Democrat still insisted she was better off.
To me this is a classic example of why we have Obamacare in the first place, because Democrats think they know best and even when Obamacare is collapsing all around them, they are such political hacks that they still ignore the obvious and claim they know best.
