Heritage Action CEO: I’d rather be in Nov 2014 the party who did everything it could to stop Obamacare

Heritage Action CEO Michael Needham went on The Daily Rundown this morning to discuss Boehner’s attack on conservatives, saying that Boehner is trying to make this fight about outside groups and himself so they we aren’t having an actual policy debate. He says Boehner is also using this to set the stage for immigration reform next year.

When Chuck Todd tried to corner Needham on the government shutdown being ‘disastrous’ for the Republican Party, I loved Needham’s response:

At the end of the day I would rather run in November of 2014 as part of the party who did everything it could to stop this disastrous Obamacare law and not be on the side of the party that did everything they could to make sure that this law goes forward.

Exactly. Couldn’t have said it better. And this is why I believe Republicans, come November of 2014, should be thanking Ted Cruz and Mike Lee for helping them look like the party who tried to stop Obamacare because I believe that by then this ‘government shutdown’ will be an asset, not a liability.
