‘His biggest problem is that he is of Washington’ – Fox News’ Chris Wallace on Cruz 2016

Chris Wallace weighed in on Ted Cruz’s impending announcement that he will be the first person to throw his hat into the ring for the presidential race in 2016. Wallace was very deferential to Cruz, but said his biggest problem is that he’ll be representative of Washington DC.

I would think if there was any Senator who is anti-Congress it’s Ted Cruz, but his biggest challenge is that he’s largely unknown to most Americans, and the media will be wanting to shape his image for him. Whether he can overcome that huge stumbling block will show if he’s ready to play in the big leagues.
