Huckabee slammed Republicans for wanting to capitulate on same-sex marriage in order to win elections, arguing that the opposite is true and that it will guarantee the GOP to lose elections hence forth. Huckabee also suggested if they capitulate on this they might as well capitulate on abortion to, and that he will leave the party if this is the stance Republicans want to adopt.
