Marco Rubio is probably not gonna make many conservatives happy with this admission that he is in favor of a “pathway to citizenship” for those who entered the United States illegally.

Rubio goes on to explain that there would be two requirements that would need to be met before any “pathway to citizenship” would be considered. First he says the government would have to prove to the American public that illegal entries are under control. Then he said the immigration system has to be modernized. Only after those two steps, he says, would a pathway to citizenship be considered for illegal aliens. And it would take at least a decade before they could apply to be citizens.
