Dr. Ben Carson has a simple message this weekend that is resonating in a huge way. In support of the nine people targeted and murdered for being Christian, Carson created a hashtag on Twitter and used a photo of himself holding a sign with that simple message, and the response has been incredible.
The Facebook post has almost a million likes.
Yes, #IamaChristian.

There are scores of other tweets worth seeing on the hashtag. This one stood out:
I am a Christian & not afraid to announce it. #ForHeStandsWithMe #IamAchristian pic.twitter.com/Wlyny7dr6m

Carson has also encouraged people to use this graphic as their profile photo, which people are doing by the dozens if not hundreds.
The picture is also being used in the Tweets.
After the terror attack in Sydney, Australia last year, a hashtag took the world by storm: #IllRideWithYou. It was a show of solidarity not based on the victims but on the fear of reprisal against Muslims. There have been many other global “movement” hashtags over time.
Now we have a terror attack here that targeted Christians. Will we see the same global support?
