Ice T: I’ll give up my guns when everyone else does

Finally, someone famous who comes out on the side of being pro-guns. Great little interview:

He supports hilary as president too. …..
but on the guns he is right on

  • The dirty little secret in the cities destroyed by Democrat rule for the last 60 years is that a very high proportion of inner city residents have guns. Including a lot of little old ladies.

    • Cindy09

And the irony comes with great costs. Aurora has got stricter gun laws that any other city that would allow concealed weapon. Those gun laws make those cities to vulnerable to psychos and terrorists. Had concealed weapon permit been permitted in Aurora, someone in the theater would have shot down Holmes before that death toll was reached. Also that law is so strict in that city, that had someone fired Holmes to protect his own life and that of other people, he would be branded a felon… because in Aurora you are declared martyrs way before the thought of a calamity could occur.

      • PFFV

It’s nice to see someone in Hollywood with a shred of common sense! Turn away from the Democrat Plantation!

  • Not even then. If everyone else jumps off a bridge…

    • Yep-

I love the hyperbolic questions that you hear: Do you want people to own tanks, rocket launchers, grenades?!?!

My answer would be yes, but since it is a health concern, we should mandate that all people carry guns so they can take out any threat at any time.

Seriously though, I would be concerned if people got to own the high end weaponry, but I’d be all for it, because right now, the only people that have it are agents of the government, which work against the people. Let everyone have whatever they want so long as they can afford it (not including regulatory BS) and I’m sure the country would have remained much better for much longer.

  • BSScoop

Good sentiment, but I’ll never give mine up even if I’m the last one. As long as government agents carry weapons, the public needs to balance that power. This is the true intent of the 2nd Amendment.

    Don’t Tread On Me

    • I think government agents count as everybody else.

      • BSScoop

I hope so. By agents, I’m referring to those who are armed by necessity. Not your friendly, neighborhood fed worker. I actually have a strong faith that our military won’t ever turn on us. It’s the ATF that worries me.

  • Rap, and “gangsta rap” in particular, is a travesty as an art form. Don’t forget, this is the clown who rapped “Cop Killa”. That said, residents of poor, often minority, crime-ridden neighborhoods can appreciate more than many others their right to bear arms.

There was another Black ‘celebrity’ who took a pro-gun position in spite of being an otherwise flaming liberal. Maybe it was Whoopi Goldberg?

  • Army_Pilot1967

Wow, I never thought I would agree with a rapper on anything….I was wrong! I’m not giving up my guns either!

  • John3_3

I think “T” and Jeremiah Wright were separated at birth.

  • What you experience in life, is different than what any person in a high crime area experiences. There are injustices that people like to wash away with statistics on the larger scale, but are heavily concentrated in areas with gang violence. It was an interesting take, considering he didn’t list the Federal government as the transgressor against individual rights, but the police.

  • StrangernFiction

    Bill Kristol disagrees.

  • marketcomp

Busted! I like that Ice-T said to the Muslim that,”you can strap bombs to your body and kill people”! How quickly we forget that one does not just kill people with guns.

    • sDee

And they favorite method – killing people with UN and government funded abortion, and nationalized healthcare.

      • librtifirst

Don’t forget forced fluoride in the water, GMO domination in the food supply, deadly mercury in vaccines, and so much more.

        • G_unitttt

          sarcasm: fail

          • librtifirst

I was being quite serious. It is called the “global eugenics program”. Haven’t you ever wondered why the people in our society are either sick or dying? Just look at the growth rate of chronic disease. Ever wondered why so many people have MS, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, cancers, diabetes, and so many more?

The globalists have documented all of it, and are admitting it more an more. Our government, and the medical establishment, have banned cures for these things. Why would they do that? Eugenics. Abortion and denial of medical care is only part of it.

            • G_unitttt

you are retarded…….get help. quit polluting the RScoop comments section with stupidity

              • librtifirst

Have you read your own posts? You should start a sentence with a capitol letter, and end it with a period. If you are asking a question, you should use a question mark. A little bit of effort in this area will lend credibility to your use of the words “retarded” or “stupidity”.

              • KenInMontana

                Also from the same page;

                1. Abusive, Ad Hominem, Overly Mean-Spirited. Attack arguments and ideas, not people. And please refrain from wishing bodily harm, death, or illness on others. Ad hominem arguments (in which one attacks a speaker to try and disqualify an argument’s validity) are not appreciated. A clarification on this point. If you want to comment that “Sean Hannity is an idiot” or “Barack Obama is a moron” that will probably be tolerated — though not particularly appreciated. What will not be tolerated is direct ad hominems toward The Right Scoop’s writers, editors, and commenters.

                • G_unitttt

i understand this Ken, but this guy is saying inane things. if you look at all this guy’s posts on this article, and there are a lot of them, he is clearly out in space and diminishes any of the discourse.

                • KenInMontana

I did read his posts and saw he was “headed into the weeds”, which is why I reminded him about staying on topic. I understand your frustration with the Jones/Noory CT stuff and its adherents, sometimes it reminds me of dealing with my son and his step-siblings when they were around 10 years old, arguing about who did what to whom, how many times and then they did, and then, and then……… It can make you want to scream. My own way of dealing with these type of “barrage arguments” is to, a) either ignore it all together, or b) say something like “oh that’s nice, but you haven’t answered this..” (kind of paraphrasing but you can see what I mean) and it’s cheaper than replacing keyboards too. 😉

                • G_unitttt

agreed….definitely cheaper than replacing my keyboard, especially with 4 months left until November 🙂

            • KenInMontana

              From our comments policy;

5.Off topic. The exception to this would be our “open threads” in which you can create your own topic for discussion.

              • librtifirst

                Copy that, Ken.

  • shagstar

even libtards are capable of moving out of the dark side! it is happening more and more frequently as they start to realize that they too,,are not exempt from the marxist regime!

  • WordsFailMe

At 0:45, he says, “…the last form of defense against tyranny…Not to hunt, just hunt…To protect yourself from the police….”

    • keyesforpres

He should have said “government”. It’s just like a gangsta to say “police”.

      • librtifirst

Since we have the military patroling our streets and hiways, what is the difference? Soon there will be no difference, because all police will be federalized.

        • keyesforpres

Yeah, well he meant it from a gangsta point of view.

  • sDee

“The right to bears arms is because that is the last line of defense against tyranny”

So damn simple. Isn’t it folks?

Bashir, as an closet muslim know this damn well – it is just that he and the other islmofacists are on the other side of this issue.

    • M_J_S

For a man named after a refreshing beverage, this is a profoundly insightful and powerful statement. It may be his only one, but it was worth hearing.

  • DCGere

Well, no surprise from him on this. Betcha he’s still voting for Obama.

    • Of course! And guess what? Even if middle class gun owners are forced to surrender theirs or die resisting arrest, Ice-T, Kool-Aid, Ripple, or whateverthehellthenextganstarappercallshimself will still get to keep his. No questions asked.

    • librtifirst

He did mention KRS, who is an Alex Jones type. I believe that KRS is on Alex’s “Obama Deception” film.

This is a little off topic, (good for I-Tea here) , I saw an amazing TAKE-DOWN of Micheal
Dyson filling in for ED on MSNBC. It was truly AWESOME !!!!

I mean it was DEVASTATING, can someone tell Right Scoop, I may email everybody later, I am sure it is being monitored by the good guys.

It was the brother of the young 24 year old girl who was killed and had escaped another shooting in Canada (big story Friday, first victim announced). He is on a crusade to publicize the (real stories for me, but MSNBC always wants to use for politics) victims and DYSON tried to use him to speak out on GUN CONTROL.

The brother was POWERFUL and FACTUAL, and Dyson knew the young man had took him apart for his stupid LEADING.

After brorher talked, Dyson bragged, CongressWomon was coming on next to SPEW about what?
    Gun control !!!!!!

I will try to find the clip and send it around later, some editor may have to cut it out or something from the ED show.

    • toongoon

      Can you find it Scoop?

    • KenInMontana

Click on the link in the upper right corner and let Scoop know.

  • jdbaird

Good stuff, he’ll probably come out and apologize for it in a few days though, once the liberal media destroys him.

    • keyesforpres

Not the last line. Listen to it again.

      • jdbaird

So it’s not gonna change? Just kidding, the stolen land part? Yeah, but it doesn’t matter they’ll delete that in editing. They can’t have a liberal being pro gun, their viewers might get the idea that’s okay and they’d have a whole bunch of them thinking for themselves then who knows what might happen?

        • keyesforpres

          They’d never win another election!

          • jdbaird

            Ha ha, very true.

  • PAWatcher

Well said, would love to hear him rap it. Last defense against tyranny, tryanny……….sounds good no matter how it’s said!

  • Nukeman60

I asked him why he was such a defender of the rights to bear arms.‘ – idiot

    …it’s part of the constitution…‘ – Ice T

    That’s the only answer necessary.

What does this fool mean, ‘such a defender‘? While you’re at it, ask him why he would be so in favor of free speech, as well. Then remind him what the 1st and 2nd Amendments are, as I’m sure he is totally unaware.

  • warpmine

Did I hear that right, “justice on stolen lands”?

    • keyesforpres

    • librtifirst

Is that so hard to understand? We created one new nation while destroying many more.

      • keyesforpres

That’s true of every nation on earth. It’s time people get over their grievances to things that happened centuries ago.

        • librtifirst

Yeah, I know. We just need to be aware of what happened then so that we can avoid it today. We must admit, though, that the justice system is anything but just. Just as the American Indians were dominated and controlled, the American people are not far from the same fate. (from government)

          • G_unitttt

you really like to post a lot, huh?

            • librtifirst

It appears so, but usually only one thread at a time.

  • Dude, seriously. Honestly, I’m not impressed. To me, he’s just another leftist that comes out in support of something that he, personally, supports, that just happens to coincide with what Conservatives believe in. That means he’s no better than John Lovitz, who’s crying about taxes, only because he wants more money, now that his career’s gone up in smoke, and he needs every penny he can get to maintain that coke habit. You people may forget it, but I won’t forget the fact that this guy draws a paycheck from one of the most rabidly anti-Conservative, anti-Republican programs on TV: Law & Order: SVU, where he plays a Conservative hating liberal that has a gay son and a bitter ultraleftist for a partner (a holdover from Homicide: Life on the Streets). Dick Wolf, the series creator, is a scumbag, and it shows in his writings that Ice-T fits into like a hand in glove. The guy sings about murder and drug dealing, and you’re surprised he’s a gun fan? Then, he caps off his “Conservative” talk by saying:

“You’ll never have justice on stolen land”?

    GTFOuttahere, you punk.

    • keyesforpres

Yeah, I caught that last line too.

    • librtifirst

What do you think that he meant by that? I am assuming that he is referring to the nations that we conquered to create a new one. Are you a fan of Manifest Destiny?

      • keyesforpres

Oh get over it. I have indian blood in me and I’m glad Europeans came here. I wouldn’t exist without the European blood and Indians were wondering around.

        • librtifirst

I work for an Indian tribe. I wish that I had their level of liberty. They are still under the thumb of the federal government, but they are still allowed to own property. I would love to have that right.

          • keyesforpres

They need to get off the reservations and get over being a tribe. Move into the 21st century.

            • librtifirst

Their reservation is only 19 acres, though they have bought up a lot of land otherwise.

You are talking to a person who just finished cutting his wheat crop with a scythe, then bundled it with twine by hand. Let me own some land, and I won’t need the 21st century. We are witnessing the last days. That is what the 21st century has to offer.

Our best days are behind us. Global government is all that we have to look forward to now, and it won’t be better than what we have had in the past. If we don’t wake up to the selling out of our sovereignty, the US will just melt away.

          • G_unitttt

            nonstop posting

A LOT….. of retarded posts….. just bombing the wall with your blather. you think we all appreciate this?

        • librtifirst

It is quite apparent that you don’t. How about some substantive discourse, rather than one liner insults?

  • Smart

  • Another 60 seconds and the interviewer would have thrown his hands up in the air and said, “I QUIT!”. Ice T’s answers were spot on and the exact opposite of what the interviewer wanted him to say.

In light of the tragedy, it would be great to see signs in windows banning the carriage of a concealed weapon taken down. Those signs are invitations for criminals to rob a place because no one can fight back.

My respect for Ice Tea skyrocketed!

The real reason the UN wants our guns. This starts our slowly but them gets going and it is amazing that all the stuff obama and the left have been doing is in bible prophecy. No wonder obama hates, Christians and Jews.

All global events today are part of prophesy. It is quite amazing when you put it in that perspective. It also opens up a whole new understanding of the wars and all the rest.

Thank You, L. I really appreciate your comment.

      • G_unitttt

repetitively posting, enlightening us all with pure drivel

  • conservativenews

Nice thing to know, that the 2nd amendment is popular on the other side of the aisle. He is going to be slapped down by the liberal media soon. He had a couple of comments that I disagree with. About the “justice on the stolen land” and the other one about the police. He is still a lib and therefore the enemy number 1.

Right Scoop, I found the video from the ED SHOW on MSNBC.
It starts at 8:58 mark if you want to edit it out and post it in RIGHT SCOOP if legal?

Take down of Micheal Dyson, was inside all the GUN hype reporting.

At 8:58 mark the brother of the 24 year old young lady who was a reporter or wanted to be.

I just found out today my Daughter went to high school with her down here in TEXAS.

    • librtifirst

Thanks. That was a good interview at the end. The guy was absolutely correct about letting these shooters fading immediately into oblivion.

      • G_unitttt

        even more

    • p m

That young man, Jordan Ghawi, was so composed and determined to have the victims and families be the story, and rightly so. We don’t need to see the sick b*****d perpetrator on tv, he’s done his damage. Jordan G is exactly right – very well said.

  • white531

It has always been amazing to me how everyone is so much more friendly, once they realize that there are others in the room who are armed and experienced in the use of weapons. The Second Amendment is not just an Amendment. It is something to live by. It is the only thing that will save this country against those who want to turn us into a Socialist country. It amazes me that people can’t see that.

    • keyesforpres

Oh believe me, the leftist in power see it.

    • librtifirst

I experienced that last week. I was open carrying on my way to go shooting. I went into a convenience store and everyone was very nice and polite. So was I, but in retrospect I realized why. I would prefer that everyone was packing so that I wouldn’t be the odd guy out.

By the way, we are living in a socialist system. If you shut down all of the social systems, we would see an instantaneous collapse.

  • white531

Why do you think they want to take away our guns, folks? Because what they have in mind for our future cannot be accomplished so long as we are armed and dangerous. Praise be to God, let us all remain armed and dangerous.

  • white531

I like this site. It appears to be an assemblage of intelligent souls, for the most part. I visit a number of other sites. I’m sure the rest of you do the same. This one appears to be a clean site. That is, it does not contain all the mean comments against other members that are so prevalent on other sites. Am I just being a wuss? Perhaps. All I know is that I enjoy the perspective and the occasional different slant of those who may not agree with everything I say or comment on. This country is in deep trouble. I want to hear the opinions of anyone who thinks they have a solution to our dilemma. I’m pretty simple that way.

    • librtifirst

Bible prophesy generally inhibits my ability to give people much hope for the future of the US, but it is always nice to ponder the solutions in theory.

After watching “The Money Masters” and others, the central bank has to go, and government must be held to accounting.

The people of this country would have to rise up and demand that all treaties of recent history must be abandoned.

Most of the federal bureaucracies must be shut down, and the welfare state must be phased out as quickly as possible.

The sixteenth amendment must be repealed.

      Property ownership must be restored.

Warfare for the sake of resource allocation must end, and domestic energy must be developed.

The borders must be guarded, and our sovereignty must then take priority in all that we do.

We must then pull out of the UN entirely and take back control of our national lands.

After that is done, all federal lands must be returned to the states.

The fourth amendment must be restored by repealing the Patriot Act and the most recent NDAA.

The supreme court justices must be thrown out, and a new liberty minded constitutional court put in place.

The AJ’s office needs to be an elected office, not appointed by corrupt presidents.

Senators should not be elected by the people, but appointed by the states.

Prosecution must take place for politicians who do not live up to their promises.

Local control of law enforcement and education must be restored.

There is much more, but that is a good start.

      • kong1967

Hey, great to see you back. I haven’t seen you around lately.

        • librtifirst

Hey kong. I was camping for a few days, then harvesting wheat. I may not be on as much for a while, because apples and beans are ready. Then tomatoes. The canning season begins.

      • Pharmacognosist

You are the man! I’ve an idea about the Senators but have to give it more thought.. Good post.

    • kong1967

I used to go to Opposing Views, but the format is terrible. On this site you only get an email if someone says something directly to you, and it takes you directly to the comment or you can reply to it directly from your email. It’s a trainwreck on OV and it’s difficult tracking down comments made to you. No thanks. This site is much better managed and has better people on it.

      • I sometimes go on CNSnews and DailyTalker, but neither beat TRS for good, informative news and discussion.

        • kong1967

I’ve never been to those sites. Maybe I’ll check them out. I won’t be leaving this site, though.

    • Hi white531! Welcome to TRS! I came here to this site after FoxNews and FoxNation pulled all comments. Like you, I found the people here to be intelligent, knowledgeable and friendly. So much so in fact that I find myself often learning more from the following discussion than the actual news article itself. I love it here now, and even if Fox ever opens it’s comments again, I’ll not leave here – unless Scoops boots me off LOL! (looks around warily). Great people, great website, what more could anyone ask for! God Bless and once again welcome.

  • white531

It would seem my most recent post was apropos to the moment.

  • wodiej

lol…that host sure was trying to corner Mr. T and he failed.

  • ryanomaniac

I disagree with Ice-T. I wont give my guns up if everyone else does. There are still bears and [email protected]$ out there. Mountain Lyons too.

  • kong1967

Right on!! Don’t know the guy and don’t listen to rap, but I like him.

Yes, I know who he is.

  • NCHokie02

Awesome responses by Ice-T and so glad that he got the purpose of the 2d Amendment correct, while Bill O got it wrong last night. The 2d Amendment exists not to allow us to hunt or protect ourselves from criminals but to protect ourselves from government. Protecting ourselves from criminals and hunting are just a bonus.

I love how he didn’t stammer or go into super detail in his responses but just looked at the host and asked him simple questions about it. You could tell the host was trying to reach for something. Totally got smacked down by Ice-T.

Edit: My favorite part though had to be when the host asked:

host: “So do you have a gun at home?”

Ice-T: “Yeah, it’s legal in the United States.”

  • Sober_Thinking

I appreciate his attitude and sentiment but having guns “to protect yourself from the police” was a rather ignorant statement.

This clod interviewer was trying every angle to get Ice to say it’s bad to own guns… I hate morons like this guy (Martin Bashir?).

Considering Ice T’s world, he has to be packing because we all know how gansta’s roll.

  • Lets not forget that this music artist had a hit song called, “Cop Killer.”

    • I didn’t like the line when he said that guns were to protect people from cops either.

      • toongoon

  • toongoon

Ah, Chicago: The windy city, The city by the lake, hometown of our prezy, murder capital of the the United States.

On June 27th, it reached 250 murders since January and the year isn’t even half over yet. Homicide is up 36 percent compared to the same period last year.

24 more between July 1st and July 18th.

Most of the homicide victims were black. (Sorry,I didn’t mean to mention they were black.)

27 of those deaths were stabbings, my guess it that it is a little more difficult to kill someone by stabbing than with a gun, I don’t have the stats on total stabbings.

The amount of stabbings alone in the windy city this year are more than double the amount of moviegoers murdered in a theater in Aurora, CO.

The mayor of the city by the lake is formerly the Chief of Staff in Obama’s administration.

Rahm Emmanuel appealed to the murderers to not stand by children when they get the urge to shoot somebody and, I guess, if they think they are about to get shot at.

Did I mention the prezy is from Chicago?

The prezy met with the white victims in Aurora, CO yesterday, to give them comfort after the tragedy. (Sorry, I didn’t mean to mention that they were white.)

Is Colorado a battleground state? I think it is.

Is Illinois a battleground state? I don’t think it is, it’s blue as the Pacific ocean.

Black people shooting black people is no cause for alarm, as though we expect it from savages. No outcry, no community leaders screaming for the prezy to comfort the victims families or even a call to round up the guns in the war zone. Nothing!

The media will highlight the family of a murderer crying and screaming about injustice and their sweet child having to go to prison, and about the disparity between whites and blacks in prison.

The city of Chicago is a damn war zone and nobody cares, not the media, not the city leaders, not even the citizens!

What the Democrats have done to these communities is a crime, they not only condone the murders but then they cover it up, and the people have been conditioned to accept it.

But if a white person shoots somebody, the constitution be damned, they MUST grab all of the legal guns.

It is obvious they will only take legal guns from law abiding people. The Chicago thugs and other criminals will continue to have their unregistered, illegal guns and the killings will extend beyond their brothers.

What a shame. What a sham!

    • Sandra123456

More Americans will be killed in Chicago than die in combat in Afghanistan.

      That shouldn’t be.

      • toongoon

Also the government owns these people, they have been moving them out of the slums in the city into more traditional cities, towns, and villages where the crime rate was barely existent and murder was never even heard of except in the newspapers.

So much for spreading the wealth around. They are spreading the misery around instead and taking all the wealth to divide among themselves.

Tongoon; You said, “I didn’t mean to mention that they were black.” I recognized the context.

I remember when an entire nation felt like that. We didn’t like it when the newspapers or tv mentioned that the perpetrator, the shooter, the rapist, the armed robber, the looter and the mob were black.

You tongoon, a gentle soul, have come along way but. like Obama says, you didn’t do it by yourself. You’ve had the assistance of the CBC, Maxine, Sheila, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Rodney King, Trayvon Martin and his mother and fathers, the black panther at at the voting site and the black panthers offering a million dollars, in food stamps, for the capture of Zimmerman.

You and I both criticized the President and his fellow mongreloids for refusing to name the enemy of our country- Islam and every Muslim on the planet. We cringe when we heard a grown men say, “man caused disasters.”

I would have been ready to let this skin color issue drop in 1967. But since then, the color persists, not becaue of you and me but becasue color has become a badge of distinction. Black culture and the black racists who thrive like maggots on racism will not allow the community to accept its responsibilities as full-fledged citizens and members of this society and let go of the apron strings of race, the ties to a continent there forebears left 600 years ago.

You will never hear the term “black” used more often to refer to a “man” than by a political, racist black subversive.

There are blacks who desire and profit from segregation of the races. I know you don not wish to paint an entire people with the same brush and neither do I. But if you cannot name the enemy and easily identify and isolate him, you are destined to be defeated.

Have the war. Name the demon. When it’s over, the survivors will work it out.

It’s past the time we need to be calling it out. It is inspiring that the right minded people in this country are beginning to stand up and be heard. I am going to be among them.

The clarion call for those who love America and her Constitution is sounding and the sleeping bear is waking again….and she’s pissed!

This man learned to distrust police and all of white society from his mother. Does anyone really think a hoodlum will give up his guns when everybody else does? Look at him Do you believe that?

Typical slick pimp and con and he’ll never shake it. There is nothing honest about this man. He is not a great american and for whatever he says about himself, I will believe the opposite.

What is with these British pansies on our networks over here? I find it incredibly insulting that liberals from Britain should discuss our right to bear arms, considering we have that right specifically because of their country. As for Ice T, I just don’t like the guy. I agree with part of what he said here, but protecting ourselves from the police? No, we need to protect ourselves from our government. Rappers get on my last nerve, not because of their music, but because of the hatred of whites and law and order they carry inside them. It never goes away.

Right on! Ice T said it like it is!
