It’s been discovered that there’s a connection between the Las Vegas killer and the Middle East. It turns out he made trips to the region on cruises multiple times.
In addition to his frequent forays into casinos and gun shops, Las Vegas strip killer Stephen Paddock took 20 cruises, many of them in Europe and the Middle East, investigators have learned.
The cruises included stops at ports in Spain, Italy, Greece, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates, according to information provided by a law enforcement source who asked not to be identified because the source was not authorized to share information about the investigation. Paddock’s girlfriend, Marilou Danley, accompanied him on nine of the cruises.
This could be completely harmless, as in a rich guy taking a lot of vacations, or it could have been a cover for nefarious activities. But it’s more likely that it’s a coincidence.
There are some other odd reports floating around – like this one from Fox News:
NBC: Sources say somebody used hotel room key card while gunman's car wasn't in the garage. pic.twitter.com/AaH3Oz31JB— Fox News (@FoxNews) October 6, 2017
Hmmm… housekeeping maybe?
Of course, some will embellish to support their conspiracy theories, but so far, there’s very little info. And investigators are publicly undermining the possibility:
Vegas police: "We're very confident that there was not another shooter in that room"; still investigating whether anyone else may have known pic.twitter.com/JCqS16KHEa
— ABC News (@ABC) October 6, 2017
“We’re very confident that there was not another shooter in that room” and indicated they were still investigating whether anyone else may have known about the attack.
There’s also the claim that he was motivated by ISIS – so far there’s very little evidence to support that, at least among what has been released by investigators.
