“IT’S TOTALLY FAKE” – Rush Limbaugh refutes portion in Trump book about his comments

Rush Limbaugh addressed on his radio show today a portion of the controversial new book on Trump by Michael Wolff that references alleged comments by him. The comments weren’t quoted directly, but rather they were characterizations of what he said at a memorial for Roger Ailes.

Listen:

The characterization in the book that Rush is addressing suggests that both Rush Limbaugh and Laura Ingraham were ‘struggling to parse support for Trumpism even as they distanced themselves from Trump himself’ at the funeral.

First, Rush said this wouldn’t have happened at the funeral because only the family spoke there. What Wolff is referencing must’ve been at the memorial service where other people spoke. But Rush maintains that no one at the memorial spoke about Trump:

“But folks I can tell you Donald Trump never came up! The subject of Donald Trump was never discussed at the memorial, much less Trumpism. I don’t even know what this means – ‘Rush Limbaugh and Laura Ingraham struggled to parse support for Trumpism even as they distanced themselves from Trump himself’ – and Wolff was there!

But this didn’t happen. I really don’t even understand what it means. But at the memorial for Roger Ailes there isn’t a single person that – look, Trump’s name may have come up in people telling stories, I don’t even think that. But there was no discussion of the Trump presidency or Ailes involvement in it or Trumpism. And there certainly wasn’t anybody tried to distance themselves from Trump or Trumpism at the Roger Ailes memorial.

This is entirely, I mean it is completely made up. I don’t even understand what the basis for that little reference is, because it’s totally fake.

Even Chuck Todd challenged Wolff yesterday, saying that there were A LOT of errors in the book. Of course Wolff played it off, but there are several people coming out saying that conversations and situations in the book that they were involved in are being completely misrepresented. Rush isn’t the only one.
