Jeb Bush: I don’t quite understand why Kevin McCarthy said what he did about Hillary

Kevin McCarthy has already given a gift to the Democrats, by making it sound like the Benghazi investigation is all about defeating Hillary in the election:

And this is the man who wants to be Speaker? Even Jeb Bush doesn’t quite understand why McCarthy would say such a thing:

For once I agree with Jeb. There are so many questions surrounding the Benghazi attack and the failures at the State Dept. that allowed this attack to be a success. This isn’t about Hillary becoming president. It’s about getting to the facts of what happened and punishing those involved that really screwed up.

So for McCarthy to characterize it this way is just dumb and now the Democrats are having a hayday with it.

And if it is true for him, that this is all about defeating Hillary, then among other things it proves why he shouldn’t be Speaker of the House. We need a true conservative who is interested in getting to the truth, not just using Republican committees to attack Democrats in elections.
