John Bolton: “I am absolutely THUNDERSTRUCK by this…what was the president thinking?”

John Bolton believes that American is in trouble.

“Every day that passes is another day that ISIS is consolidating control over the territory that it holds,” Bolton told On The Record, noting that it’s currently the size of Great Britain.

But what bothered Bolton the most was a quote from Saturday’s NY Times that reads:

If he had been “an adviser to ISIS,” Mr. Obama added, he would not have killed the hostages but released them and pinned notes on their chests saying, “Stay out of here; this is none of your business.” Such a move, he speculated, might have undercut support for military intervention.

Bolton read this in his interview and immediately responded “I am absolutely thunderstruck by this!”

He continued “Whether it’s in a private conversation or not, this is the Commander-in-Chief of our armed forces!”

“What could the president have been thinking,” Bolton asked, continuing “does he have any more advise for ISIS about what they should do to undercut support for the military intervention that he has ordered as the president?”
