If there’s one thing great I can say about the Republican party, it’s that it made sure this Charlie-Crist-wannabe jerk didn’t get anywhere near the White House:

Does this guy look forask for opportunities to trash his “own” party? Or does the lefty media look for him when they need a useful idiot(or if McCain is otherwise booked) to bad mouth their own team?
This man has ever been part of the team….oh wait, he was an infiltrator. I feel bad for Sr having a son who’s that far out of the mainstream of this country. Is it any wonder as to why Sr wants to give away his entire fortune to charity.
I guess Huntsman found out he can’t make it on his looks either.
You mean solutions like these you a$$hat Huntsman? http://spectator.org/archives/2012/08/08/romneys-tax-plan-is-a-winner
Sour grapes….I laugh at this fool…can you say Pampers…Ultra-Absorbent!! They would not nominate me. Hey Jon you ran for the GOP nomination…if you felt that way why did you not run against Obama for the Dem Nomination. This guy is a joke…he had no support anywhere on planet earth and here he is crying on CNN…the GOP offers no solutions….LOL!!! Yeah Jon…you really provided deeeeepppp insight…this is always the MEME of GOPs that lose! Cry babies!
Jon Huntsman is just another Charlie Crist RINO who shows what happens when they realize they have no support whatsoever, then prove why they don’t by reinforcing they are nothing but babbling fools. Good riddance.
I wonder Jon…would Marco, Suzanna, Arthur Davis, Condi, Ted Cruz, Nikki Haley and millions of others agree???
you can tell huntsman either didn’t watch the convention, or he’s spiteful that he’s not the nominee, or he’s just talking out of his @$$. he doesn’t backup anything he says and anyone who watched the convention could easy refute his statements.
…talking out of his arse more likely AP !
Also because he wasn’t asked to speak at the convention, like the others who lost the nomination…. This guys patheic, first he joins the Obama administration at the height of Obama’ s popularity, dumps Obama when it’s obvious it’s a failing administration, then joins the republican nomination, gets his ass handed to him…And now on tv dumbing on republicans… This guys a real opportunist and coward.
He didn’t lose it, he never came close to winning it. A distraction at best. If this is what the “best” schooling producing then I dare say none of us are safe from bologna like this.
Next gig: speaking Mandarin at the DNC CONvention!
Waaaaaaaa!!! Poor baby. Hey Jon, hop on the next plain to Charlotte. They’ll “accept” you there. Asshat. .
He’s out there, where the buses don’t run!!
Who’s Jon Huntsman again? I was looking at Republican polling data for everyone who polled above 4%…couldn’t find him
You need to expand your limit to .01% !!
Come on that is Glenn Beck’s buddy. His father is a big backer of old Glenn.
Don’t think Jr. is Beck’s buddy, his dad is.
Ken, you are correct. Glenn never promoted Jr. – quite the opposite as Jr was not at all a conservative Gov of Utah. His record matches this interview.
His record and also his sanctimonious, petulant, Obama-sycophant weasel mouth.
Nope. Jr. has never been a conservative politician. Glenn was for Bachmann, Santorum then Romney. Never Huntsman in spite of his friendship with Huntsman Sr.
Is he trying to be the mystery speaker at the DNC?
I think you are right, he has perfectly articulated O’s and the DNC position on inclusiveness.
If he is, he will be giving them a completely false impression of the R. Convention. He couldn’t have been more opposite of the truth … that’s okay with me. They can have him!
We didn’t want him but the media loved him. What does that tell you?
Jon who? Why does anybody care what this guy thinks?
There is a massive media campaign which has been tried several times before, gop is extreme, class warfare, and gop ideas are old and stale. These three narratives will be pushed until election day, Romney had better get ready for this.
Odin with all due respect…ARE YOU ON PLANET EARTH??? Have you not seen what they have thrown at Romney and Ryan…what do you think Mitt is blind??? Come on…get real…Mitt better be ready??? His life buddy has been attacked left and right for 7 months…his wife mocked, his religion denegrated, his PERSONAL SUCCESS attacked and Ryan is the new evil lord and you make a statement like this!!
You have alot a nerve….put your life up there ODIN and lets see how you would do!! Mitt and Paul know darn well what they face….IT IS 24 hours a day everyday they exist right now!!
It is our job as well to BLAST RIGHT BACK VICIOUSLY at the DEMS….this is not just Mitt this is all of us…and we all better GET STERN AND TOUGH and KICK BUTT!
A typical sore loser and cry baby mentality, and shows his true colors. Yellow-lacks the courage to face the medias bias questions. Blue-oppressed and disillusioned for not getting the nomination or being asked to speak at the RNC convention. Red-for his socialist and big government ideals of governance. True colors of Liberal Democrats for which he truly is.
Charlie Christ anyone!
Mia Love just passed him in name recognition and popularity in Utah and he is upset about it.
I’ll take Artur Davis any day of the week over this bozo.
Davis is what you call a back stabbing traitor and should not have been a speaker at the GOP convention.
He will do it again. He has no character.
So are saying Gov. Martinez is a “back stabbing traitor” as well, when she realized her beliefs align with the R party? Her speech was fabulous. Geez…..
Who knows. I might be wrong. But, I’ll still take him over Huntsmen.
You’re a hypocrite. Your kind is just fine with Huntsman and other RINOs and complain that we’re not “inclusive” when we express our disgust with them but then you call an honest person (Davis) a “traitor”.
Libs always adore these RINOs like Huntsman, why can’t we get one of the only Dems who doesn’t groupthink?
And it’s good that Davis had the courtesy to openly switch parties, I wish Huntsman did the same instead of trying to troll as a so-called “sane” Republican who hates the right.
The republican party is not inclusive because of Romney or Ryan. They are a big tent because of the Tea Party and Romney and the RNC shiz all over the TP at this convention. What this convention showed me is that the people that got elected because of the TP dumped all over the TP to be part of the big show. So SAD!
When Romney’s people looked over all the speeched I bet you ever mention of the TP was deleted from the speeches. The speakers were weak to let this happen because they could have band together to push back at the RNC and decided not to.
You know I am right.
“You know I am right.”
You nail it.
I remember quite well, John McCain going out on the Senate floor and telling all of us to go back to mordor.
He then went on to OK and support another trillion dollars added to the debt our children and grandchildren have to face.
I cannot stand these Rhino’s. They beg us for our vote. They beg us for our money … and then crap all over us.
I don’t think that the GOP can claim to have a big tent any more, if they could before. The primary was full of fraud to force Romney on us, and the convention was a scripted sham where they forced through rule changes that cut out any possibility of ever having an anti-establishment nominee in the GOP.
Herman Cain: “The tea party has a huge presence at this convention without saying the word ‘tea party,’ Here’s the thing: The Tea Party is no longer an isolated group of conservatives — it is so wide and so vast, you’ve got a lot of tea party sitting on that convention floor and they’re delegates and alternates. In other words they’re not trying to be different from the Republican Party, they’re trying to help change the Republican Party from the inside, So they don’t have to say ‘Tea Party’.” Cain said.
Jeez, Huntsman, who has enormous contempt for conservatives and lops up the media any chance he can, makes Romney look like a TPer in comparison.
And the Convention was filled with a lot of great speeches by some Tea Party stars. I mean really? Rand, Govs. Walker, Haley, Martinez, Cruz, Love, Rubio, others gave Tea Party messages and just because it wasn’t said by name doesn’t mean anything.
And this is the guy The establishment wanted?
They weren’t happy with Crist?
This is a case of Obama bringing in Chinese labor (from the US embassy in Peking) to do the work that Americans like Charlie Crist refuse to do.
FOOL, er I mean, TOOL! No wonder he worked for BO……
What a big vacuous empty and hollow coiffed box of a man. Why doesn’t he just declare he’s a Democrat and get it over with.
What an utter imbecile.
I see a DNC ad coming up.
I am not a fan of this guy, but his comments about inclusiveness were correct. This should have been abundantly clear after the convention.
From the perspective of correcting real issues, like the central bank and spending problems, we don’t have a nominee that is hitting the core of the matter. The Romney/Ryan plan doesn’t even come close to correcting our currency and budget issues, that will ultimately lead to a collapse.
If we continue to blindly back up the republican party, without any scrutiny, then how does anyone expect to get something better? I hear people talking about “holding their feet to the fire”. How do you do that? You get republicans to debate it publicly as to put public scrutiny on them.
Liberals are not going to vote for them anyway, and republicans and independents have no choice but to vote for Romney/Ryan, so why not “hold their feet to the fire” now?
I am only commenting on this video, and don’t know the entirety of what Huntsman stands for, though I do remember some of what he said in the debates.
On your comment about central banking when Romney was recently asked at a town hall if the Fed should be audited Romney said without hesitation: “Very plain and simple, the answer is yes. The Federal Reserve should be accountable. We should see what they’re doing,”. You might not like how far Romney is taking those issues but it’s a start in that direction and with Obama you go no where, and with Ron Paul you go no where either because he’s not going to be in position of power. If Romney is elected he can be pushed into supporting that direction where libertarians want to take it. The problem with libertarians they want it all now or nothing it seems, instead of taking the steps to get there even someone you don’t fully trust or support but at least there is a chance with him, but with Obama there is no chance at all.
I don’t see having that chance with Romney. Romney is a Keynesian, not an Austrian economics guy. He doesn’t reject the philosophy of central banking as a means to fund government and control markets through currency creation, interest rate price fixing, and inflation.
The Fed would be destroyed, politically, if a full audit was done, and revealed to the American public. The establishment is allowing surface progress to take place, but will never kill their cash cow with a full audit.
You have never heard Romney talk about his economic philosophy, because generalities and platitudes are all he is interested in. He was pressed for specifics in the debates, and was forced to pander to the people on the Fed issue, because Ron Paul got huge applause when he explained it and talked against it. Paul put the pressure on, and Romney dealt with it as much as he had to.
The Ryan Plan is completely ineffective in changing the direction of our budget and debt issues. It is totally void on dealing with our currency issues.
We are being fed rotten flesh with a hard, thin, candy coating on it in this republican campaign, and on the financial issues.
Romney is being funded by the same financial institutions that got Obama elected. This is not a good indicator that Romney is in any way likely to actually move toward financial reform.
I would love to have hope for Romney doing the right things, but that would be contrary to the evidence, and good logic.
You know what Huntsman meant. He’s the anti-conservative media darling. He meant “boo hoo! They’re waaaay too extreme you’re right! Not like me!”
Jon Huntsman blindly backs the Democratic party, he’s a rather snide and arrogant plant they sent in.
Then we need to have people like Alan West and Palin talking about these issues with the republican party so that it is not such a slam. Leaving it to liberal republicans is a strategic mistake, because when someone like Huntsman brings it out, the validity of his arguments are damaging rather than open conservative debate.
Allen West and Palin are not going to undermine the ticket at this point in time because they know this is our last chance to get rid of Obama.
“I am not a fan of this guy, but his comments about inclusiveness were correct. This should have been abundantly clear after the convention.”
I’m sorry librti but that statement was utter empty talk. Did you even watch the convention, or were you across the street at Ron Paul’s ego-fest where “inclusiveness” means a Ron Paul policy reference every twenty minutes.
Do we have to go through the list yet again of blacks, Latino senators and governors , ex-Democrats to prove your statement utter rubbish. Or is this not good enough for you.. kinda like MSNBC scrubbing any hint of inclusiveness for their audience or Chris Matthews dismissing them as Republican lawn ornaments.
Come on las1. Huntsman didn’t exactly say exactly what he meant by it in this video. So everyone here is “assuming” something about what he meant.
There was a fairly open process, with rules. The Liberty movement people followed the rules, and the GOP cut out duly elected delegates all over the country. At the convention, they made new rules to keep this from happening in the future. They did it fraudulently. For those who were paying attention, it was a really big deal, because it means that “no” alternative to the establishment will be able to penetrate the primary process and get a candidate nominated.
Would you call that “inclusive”? I wouldn’t.
Maybe your disdain for Ron Paul causes you to justify any illegal dirty trick in the book to keep him out, but some of us think that rules and law should be respected, and changed based on what the people in the party decide at their conventions, not what the national and state GOP establishment decides on the fly.
If you are referring to all of the speeches people made, then yes, I did miss much of the convention. If you are referring to the “business” side of the convention, then no I did not miss most of it.
If you want anti-establishment Tea Party people to have a chance at the presidency, then you might want to advocate for more inclusiveness in the GOP.
“Inclusiveness” and it’s definition is the sticking point. I’m not a Paul fan (because of his stand on the military), but your other points I don’t disagree with you: namely the control future candidates have on the electorate in the primaries. But you are right… the clip is too short to get the full sense of what he meant… but sour grapes was definitely one of them. But to use that very tired phrase that Democrats use all the time… “dog whistle”… the word “inclusiveness” is the newly minted dog whistle to connote racism. And that’s what most people understood by his use of the term. And that’s why Huntsman was a putz to use it.
That makes perfect sense. I’m carrying a grudge over the primary fraud right now, so I am probably a little one track minded.
“Inclusiveness” to the left means both a racial connotation and “why do you pick on poor, poor RINOs like Dick Lugar?”
You know exactly what Huntsman meant. He’s the liberal media darling. He meant the same thing they mean and he is the establishment Democrat.
There were Tea Party people speaking at the Convention. Several Tea Party Governors, a few TP Senators, Santorum and Newt. I want a strong defense, but I’m sympathetic to not having bases around the world and getting out of Afghanistan. I don’t agree with that snake Kristol’s persuasion.
“I’m sympathetic to not having bases around the world
It’s called preparedness and a deterrent and as a vital American presence and a force for stability and security on the seas it enables rapid response and protection for America’s allies and America’s security.
Santorum and Newt are not Tea Party (although I am a huge fan of Gingrich, but his presentation was not what he should have allowed himself to do. He has much more valuable things to say… but the GOP masters put him on a short leash… imho)
When this Father’s shame (Huntsman senior’s) first exited the campaign starting gate with his proclamation of belief in the “scientific” explanation of human evolution and global warming, I knew he’d was burnt toast and would ever be thus.
What he believes in is the politicization of science, and the manipulation of science. One should never call such as that, science. But what should we call such as he? Well, you’re description works pretty well.
I think the conservative electorate hurt his wittle feelwings, don’t you? He should be standing in front of an old fashioned bed and breakfast, covered in wax, wearing a Chinese peasant hat, and holding a lantern, which sheds no light.
If he’s propped up close enough to the door, his nose or one of his eyeballs could be the doorbell button.
“Ding dong, anybody home?”
“What he believes in is the politicization of science, and the manipulation of science.”
Darn tootin’ good point… it’s a liberal strategy.
Now you know where his daughters get it from. Huntsman Sr. must be so very proud.
I’ve often wondered what the father thinks of his whiner son. Somehow I feel sorry for him having to see it with his own two eyes and hear it with his own two ears.
I remember reading about the impressive Huntsman Sr. years ago – long before Beck ever started his career.
Huntsman, get the **** out of the Republican Party and join the Democraps where you belong. But be warned, once they can no longer hold you up as Republican who is speaking out against his party, they will have no use for you and will throw you under the bus in heartbeat.
Is this loser scheduled to speak at the DNC convention?
What?????? John, maybe it’s time for you to switch parties! Join the Dims and all their great solutions to what ails America…..some of those “solutions” have worsened our current state of affairs, wouldn’t you agree? But that’s okay, just go ahead and join that party and see how you like what they have to offer America. See ya……..
Agree with you Army_Pilot, that suit fits him much better. Truer to form.
Were you even watching the RNC convention, Huntsman? How much more inclusive do you want the party to be when they have women of every ethnic group in the country speaking, when you have a convert from the DNC party speak, when you should have seen many various and highly admired GOP Governors speak, when you say new faces from place traditionally blue States, the former Secretary of State who was successful in her own right to bring free trade agreements? The no-suck-up to China that cheats us at every turn. Your increasingly short-sighted vision of sour grapes to the rejection of your LACK of vision of the American people is out from under the lamp stand.
He watched it on msnbc. Therefore he didn’t see any blacks or hispanics because they didn’t show their speeches. What a tool.
John Huntsman is Rovian is speech & philosophy.
What a schmuck. Working for Duh Bumbler now?
He must have been watching preseason football last week. He certainly could not have watched the GOP convention. I think if you continue to watch the Democratic convention, he might show up there. He is a loser. He is like the president we have.
He loves himself.
A classic RINO!!!!! I sure am glad he didn’t make it to the white house.
why do I feel this guy is another Anderson Cooper?
Jackazz wearing an elephant costume.
You lost stop being a Poor Loser – go away
The reason everyone needs to realize is this: The main reason why Blacks, Latinos, Arabs/Muslims, Asians are not overwhelmingly conservative/Republican is because …….for the most part, they are either recent arrivals (through high immigration of the past 20 yrs) or to be more blunt, they are not native born Americans.
They do not have a long, historical, personal family history here in this country. They have not accumulated wealth in their families or land (property), over generations, therefore, they have little or nothing to “conserve”. They are for redistribution of wealth from the White middle class to immigrants (non-Whites).
Mass immigration feeds big government and therefore, left-wing socialist policies. That’s why high immigration will eventually destroy a country. But the Bush/Rove axis within mainstream GOP will not even debate the issue of high legal & illegal immigration. Bush/Rove want more, more, more.
They are for redistribution of wealth from the White middle class to immigrants (non-Whites).
That sounds a bit like you might have lifted that out of an Afrikaner National party speech.
This guy hasn’t done a decent days work in his life! I’d really like to see him try to start a lawnmower and actually mow it!
Jon Huntsman is a shameless liar.
Go back to China you communist liar.
Poor baby. Was feeling left out. So he had to go get some love and attention. Some people of so pathetic.
He’s a commie plant.
He commented on broadening the tent. We’ve already broadened the tent too far. We cannot keep making it larger so we can try to steal away more Democrats. To do that we would have to sell our souls and our core beliefs. Instead, we just need to convince more people they are under the wrong tent, and make the tent smaller by being more conservative. This idea that we have to be both conservative and liberal at the same time is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard.
I agree with what you are saying on the liberal side of the big tent, but republicans have shut out the more conservative groups through rule changes, so they are shrinking the tent for their own conservative base.
I didn’t think of it like that. What rule changes? I might be familiar with it, but I’m not able to reach through my brain and find it, lol.
The GOP changed the rules whenever they had to throughout the primary, to put Romney delegates in place. They got so much push back from the Liberty Movement people, because they knew and followed the rules, that they decided to change the rules to allow any presumptive nominee complete power on cutting out duly elected delegates and installing ones of his choice. This happened throughout the primary, but it was against GOP rules to do it. They had to make the rule changes at the convention, because that is where it is done on the national level.
They used all kinds of dirty tricks, and scripted the vote results, as was evident on the video of the teleprompter.
Ah, I see. Those were rules on how the primaries were conducted. I grant you that.
I was thinking more along the lines of party platform. They keep watering down the party to try to fit more people in it….to make it attractive to moderate Democrats instead of sticking to core beliefs and convincing those moderates that they are supporting the wrong party.
I have never paid much attention to the party platform. Nobody follows it anyway. Did you see this video of Boehner’s comment on the subject at the convention?
No, this is the first time I’ve seen it. He has a point. People aren’t going to sit down and read documents that are extremely long and convoluted. Just like Congressmen don’t read the bills they pass. They can’t because they would need ten assistants reading 24 hours a day.
I just don’t like them getting away from conservative principles so they can try to appeal to people on the left. It’s not so much having to have it written down, but more about following what conservatism is about…such as small government and limited spending.
I am still listening to that last link I posted. This guy really gets it. He is explaining how the two parties are not really different, and they both keep out any reformers. He does a good job of explaining it.
I will watch it later. It looks pretty lengthy. I will let you know what I think.
The new rule changes have led credence to this guy’s arguments.
I disagree with the guy’s premise of the two party system. We have a two party system by default, not by rule. People don’t push for third party because they become spoilers.
I disagree with the guy that we cannot reform the Republican party. I think it’s hogwash. No doubt the McCains and Boehners will fight it, but they will lose. The movement is too strong and their days are numbered. The Republican party is being forced to change course or they’re out. They know it.
Creating another third party will only ensure that Democrats win.
I think that much of his opinions were premised with the concept that the two parties are not really different, and they have a dictatorship over the electoral process. That, and the fact that the establishment has held is power for many decades, and it keeps giving itself more and more power to control electoral outcomes, and the process itself.
If he is right, then nothing we do to support the grass roots will make any difference.
If the electoral process is that controlled, then the Tea Party had better get to it on making this a very important message to the grass roots, and fighting for it within the ranks. If they do not, then they make themselves irrelevant.
Edit: The two parties make all the rules, and against the people’s will, as was demonstrated at the convention. Therefor, it is a two party system by “rule”.
“If he is right, then nothing we do to support the grass roots will make any difference.
I disagree. We are replacing the party members at an alarming rate. It has both parties shaking in their boots. If their “control” is so dominating, how are we getting in people like Allen West or Marco Rubio? The more we get in the weaker the establishment gets. Sooner or later they will have enough leverage to vote in a Tea Party leader for Congress. Those that falter can be removed.
If we don’t uproot the Republican party and we defeat them via third party (eventually), we still leave them behind and able to become spoilers for our third party. I think it’s better to remove their influence altogther by kicking them out of the party.
“The two parties make all the rules, and against the people’s will, as was demonstrated at the convention. Therefor, it is a two party system by “rule”.”
That’s controlling what goes on within the party. It’s not forcing a two party system. If we defeat them within the party they no longer will be able to write the rules.
As the guy in the video explained, there is no way for a Tea Party guy to make it into the higher ranks of power without “going along to get along”. The reality of this was demonstrated in the debates when Santorum was saying that it was necessary to compromise your beliefs for the “team”. The team is the people pushing the republican agenda, and no laws or rules on the electoral process get proposed or voted on unless the elite team decides it.
The Democrat party is no different. They impose the same type of dictatorial power over their party process, and national laws. The two parties in the states do the same things as well, such as redistricting, which takes vote power from rural citizens.
There are two parties for a reason. Why not three or four? Two parties can agree to push the same agenda much easier than three or four.
The reason that we are getting West and Rubio is that they go along to get along, they don’t go in bucking the system. It is the system that needs changed. They may buck against the liberals, and the liberals buck against them, but neither are bucking the system.
Well, we disagree on the freshmen ever getting into the higher ranks. The Congressional members vote on their leaders, and right now they don’t have the numbers to do it.
Of course the fresmen can’t buck the system while the establishment is running it. If they get into the leadership roles of the party, then they won’t have to buck anything. They will be controlling it. I don’t think it’s fair to say they are being (more or less) abducted into the corrupt workings of the party. Right now there is a much larger war to be won, and that’s the extreme liberalism taking over the Democrat party. Not that the internal war of the Republcian party has to wait, but it will take time.
We are fighting for the very existence of our republic, and there are many battle fronts raging.
Yes, and we are on the same side of all battles. We just disagree on tactics is all. You’re a good man.
You too, Kong.
And that sports fans…is why he went nowhere in his campaign.
sore loser, butt hurt conservatives and republicans rejected your ass in the primaries, you stunk up the joint we could smell your democRAT’s ass a mile away.
What a tool!
Methinks Huntsman is still working for his old boss, Obama…
So NOW how do you feel about the party that isn’t inclusive or not about big ideas and solving big problems? That’s assuming, of course, you actually watched the convention. Not that I really care but I am a ittle curious to see if Jon Boy shows up w/ Chicken liver Charlie Crist in Charlotte this week…
Huntsman didn’t talk like this when he was governor of Utah. He would never have been elected if he had. Maybe daddy cut him off and he needed the job. Either that, or his liberal daughter has persuaded him to join the dark side.
I guess the cunning stunts of his mattress-back-endowed daughters just aren’t cutting it anymore. So now Little Jonny Huntsman Jr. [aka: Hóng Bópéi as the Chinese affectionately nicknamed him] actually has to spew from his own pie-hole instead of sending his cumdumpster daughters out to spew through theirs on his behalf. He doesn’t even hold an elected office — and he’s not even running for one. He just wants has to spew because he got what he has earned and richly deserves — bitch slapped right off the GOP map.
At least he is growing somewhat braver — albeit RINO’s are never actually capable of bravery.
‘Why is it that you didn’t go to Tampa?‘ – CNN
Hey Jon, it was because you weren’t asked, you bozo. How do you say “you suck” in Mandarin Chinese?
You were appointed by Obama to be the middleman for the Chinese loan sharks, helped to build their capital by getting them into the World Trade Organization, and then ran for President of the United States with a slogan of “Country First”. Who’s country, I might ask?
See you at the Democratic National Convention. It’s where you belong, seeing how the likes of MSNBC, Huffington Post, and CNN seem to like you. Be careful what you seek, however.
You might want to have a conference (or intervention) call with Charlie Crist, first. He backs Obama and we all know he’ll get thrown under the bus, just like you will, when Barry no longer needs you. But then, you can always go back to China.
I knew this guy was a clown when I watched one of the earlier Repub Primary debates. The one were he talked in Chinese???….mmmm….OOOOKKKKaaaayyy. Anyway, the camera was panning around to each of the candidates and the first one was Newt….I only wish I could have read his mind….can’t post those thoughts here. The next one was Santorum. He had that “what the heck” look of his that he can get sometimes…then the camera was on Romney. He had that gentleman’s smile of his that we all can relate to but there was something different about it….it was like…”down the road in all of this, you are going to stab everyone of us in the back because you know you are a freak and a loser but I will be prepared for you.” This man has zero crediability. The only question they need to ask him on why he is dissing the Repubs tent is for him to explain that if he was a Repub to begin with why did he support Obama and then turnaround and run in the Repub primaries. It will make Axelrods avoidance of Chris Wallace’s questions today look tame.
We are beginning to purge the GOP of those who have been pretending for years. C YA Jon!
Who is he talking about? Does he mean that the Republican Party doesn’t include the grass roots conservatives or Ron Paul supporters? Or does he mean we do not include Democrats like him? I don’t get the guy. No, he doesn’t speak any of the Chinese languages, he speaks Greek!
The “Big Tent” these types want is based on the mistaken notion that independents are “moderates” or “centrists” and we have to “inclusive”. Translation: Let’s be more liberal. Blech.
This guy is about one nut away from Ron Paul. He has the inetelligence of a worm and all the personality of a feces throwing monkey. He isn’t even a “RINO”. He is just another
nobody that will do anything for attention. Or as Karl Marxx would discribe him “just another useful idiot”.
I really didn’t know that he was a Republican before his pitiful effort at running for POTUS and now it’s pretty clear why – he isn’t much of a GOP – hardly even qualifies as a RINO – much more Dem-lite.
The jerk was not there. He must not have been watching on TV either. How could anyone who saw it miss the enthusiasm, optimism, and inclusiveness? What a dope !
I will not give the jerk the pleasure of me watching the video!! I have no idea who he is!!
I KNOW who he is and that is why I did not watch the video.
A wimp living off Daddy
A friend and financial supporter of Glenn Beck
Just imagine the line up at the DNC like this.
John Huntsman Jr.
(cue the music) Alright kids,,,,,it’s time to play ‘Who’s the Biggest Loser’.
It’s time for the PaulBots and other fringe elements to be shown the door.
It’s time for the GOP to start doing what they get accused of anyways……booting tools like this to the curb.
Might as well, because if the MSM can paint them as “inside” the party their words have credibility when they should not.
Don’t forget those “fringe elements” in the GOP also includes Conservatives/Tea Partiers as well.
Didn’t Condi and Romney discuss our role in the world? Wasn’t the convention all about optimism. “If you need a job done, use an American”. We remembered Neil Armstrong and recalling how most Americans felt pride about being the first of mankind going into space. we had Olympians describing their pride and patriotism. I think he’s eating sour grapes because he was one of the first to get out of the primary and endorse Mitt Romney. Maybe he was hoping for the VP and upset that he didn’t get it.
Huntsman brings true meaning to the saying “Wound tighter than a tick turd”. Hey Huntsman you lost, we did not want you or your so called message. Now go home you poor loser.
He keeps reading his talking points, I wonder who wrote them.
He never had any conservative blood in him anyhow.
“…says not inclusive and not focused on real solutions.”
This from a guy who doesn’t know what reality is. Intelligence really does skip some generations. :-/
Another “progressive” that hid as a republican… Be gone Jon… No one knew you 6 months ago, and no one will know you in another 6 months.
Who will be the mystery speaker at the DNC, Michael Moore?
And they’ll probably have a hologram of Ted Kennedy.
They tried to do it, but he always looked like he was under water.
Well, he did have an affinity for liquids.
Just go on and endorse Obama and just get it over with, what’s with all the drama
Fifth place trust fund loser….
I agree with EVERY thing Jon Huntsman Jr. said…
What Huntsman Jr. said negative about the Republicans and the Romney / Ryan ticket DEFINITELY applies to the Democrats and the Obama / Biden ticket.
What Huntsman Jr. said positive about the Democrats and the Obama / Biden ticket DEFINITELY applies to the Republicans and the Romney / Ryan ticket.
The LDS church is not a political cookie cutter religion, as Mitt Romeny, Jon Huntsman and Glenn Beck reveal by their political views.
From Wikipedia -
Jon Huntsman’s mother is Karen Haight Huntsman, daughter of LDS Church apostle David B. Haight.
His father is billionaire businessman and philanthropist Jon Huntsman, Sr.
Through his father, Huntsman, Jr. is the great-great-great-grandson of early LDS Church leader Parley P. Pratt.
Has Obama ‘transformed’ America or what?
When Jon Huntsman and Charlie ‘tan man’ Christ and Jeb Bush slap the Romney / Ryan ticket and back slap the Obama / Biden ticket, THAT is transformation, isn’t it?
Come on TEA party… go get em’.
How many other RINO’s quietly agree with Obama’s favorite butt boy from the GOP?
He is a liberal moron
That sounds like a Jepardy answer:)
That sounds like a Jeopardy answer:)
I am only 34 and relatively new to the political scene as GWB Round 1 was my first vote but I must say there is something I envy of the Libs. (I slapped myself 4 times as it was as painful to type as read!!) You very rarely see libs turn on and eat each other. They march in 1 accord (albeit it a radical socialist accord bent on the destruction of the USA as was founded). Every once in awhile one will stray from the herd and quickly shot in the ass until it returns with the other (i.e. Cory Booker). If the Republicans were more supportive of each other and less destructive amongst their own ranks I feel like our agenda would progress much faster and work to restore the Constitution much m ore quickly for our children’s sake! What lib disagreed with Pelosi and had to be smacked down? What lib every tells another “Hold on there that is even to Communist for even me!!” But anytime a patriot such as West, Bachmann, Issa or King rail against the creeping Red into our government and installations they are hammered down so fast on every front that they sadly learn to not speak quite so loudly. This PC watering down of the Republican Party will lead to our destruction if we do not move swiftly to send more to DC who will encourage the voices of constitutionality and conservative values and drown out the Boehner’s and the Cantor’s and the McLame’s! But as F.R. Levin says, we are at the edge of the cliff. We are not speeding towards it, we are already perched on the edge teetering over in Neutral waiting for November. And if we do not work to send Obama, Reid, Pelosi, black lib cowgirl of the House, and Shelia Blackson Lee (come on Texas!!) they will punch the gas in Nov and there is no saving us. We are forever on a downward plunge to Greece and eventually Rome that there is no saving us and we will wish for scenes from The Postman! Destruction stares us in the face and if we fail in November we will have to look in the faces our future generations with shame in our eyes as they wonder how in the world we ruined their bright future forged for them over 225 years ago!! I truly with all my heart feel “Vote or Die!!”
I agree and have often thought of The Postman after BO was elected. You are right, this vote IS crucial.
do not trust him at all. another charlie crist
You could tell by looking at him he was flaming-RINO-skanker. There is nothing redeeming about him at all, except a couple of his daughters are hot.
Well that’s news that’s just shocking.
And by “shocking,” I mean “as predictable as the horrible, slavering, gob-spraying, lip-smacking noises you expect when Michael Moore waddles in to the all-you-can eat buffet at Big Boy.
“If there’s one thing great I can say about the Republican party, it’s that it made sure this Charlie-Crist-wannabe jerk didn’t get anywhere near the White House:”
Scoop, About six months ago the USA Today had this software app where you would identify your position and it would identify your policy match with the Republican candidates. Some of the policies were very similar, and I played around with it a bit. But the two guys that always tied for last place or very close in being the bottom two when it came to matching me were Romney and Huntsman. So, I am not so sure we don’t have Huntsman in Romney clothes running against Obama.
Mitt’s record is why I waited to see who Romney would pick as his running mate before deciding I plan to vote Romney/Ryan.
Romney doesn’t have the flippant, arrogant Obama sycophanty of Huntsman.
He’s likely not that liberal.
Why didn’t he go to the RNC? Could it be because he had a prior engagement to speak at the DNC?
Huntsman supports same sex civil unions and I guess must also think Obama has real solutions and a better strategy for America’s role in the world? There’s optimism, Huntsman, which is actually what Romney/Ryan are trying to sell (provided you elect them and Republicans in Congress) and then there is dangerous fantasy. Do you actually think the Democrats are offering optimism, will take their hands off the credit card and become spend thrifts and cut that national debt in half in a second Obama term?
If anyone wants to correctly evaluate this man, merely consider that, while still employed by Obama, Huntsman began to make active plans to work against his own boss. If a person is perfectly willing to betray the person in authority over him, it speaks volumes of his personal integrity (think: professional adultery or marital infidelity). Huntsman is a pathetic, puny man, and a disgrace to the GOP he dares to lecture; arrogant and unrepentant by their rejection of his gauzy, fluffy philosopy. Yeah, John, the continual widening of the tent has worked great for mainstream Protestant churches hasn’t it? The more inclusive they tried to be, the more they ditch their doctrines to be “inclusive”, the more they hemorrage members actually looking for truth! Perhaps conservatives actually prefer real, tried-and-tested solutions, to someone who believes in everything (and therefore, nothing). What a piece of work! Has he never considered that the MSM consider him no more than a “useful idiot”?
Dud e we knew you were a democrat all along!
What in the world is he talking about? I didn’t sense that from the convention one bit. Of course Huntsman is where the Emperor’s New Cloths and believes in the Easter Bunny which is why he can’t see the fiscal cliff under his toes.
“…Not inclusive…”? There were plenty of RINOs there, from what I saw.
I wonder what makes this guy tick? He was rejected – so he pisses on the party that he was running for the nomination of? Stay classy, Jon. You have to be a special kind of ahole to take being rejected by a group of people as being something terribly wrong with THEM – instead of YOUR message. Seems very left-wingish to me, which is what the GOP smelled on Jon from day 1.
Why doesn’t he jut leave the party and take Bloomberg and Colin Powell with him. Didn’t the Librocrats throw the Blue Dog Democrats under the bus during the last election? How did Arlen do with the Librocrats? The guy works for Obama and still seems to be getting a paycheck.
This guy is a Republican much like Arlen Specter was.
Jon Huntsmans world view…
“Why didn’t you go to Tampa?”
“Well, let’s face it. It’s Governor Romney’s show, and it oughta be. He earned it and he deserves it.
“His team is there, and they’re doing their thing, and that’s the way it oughta be.
“I’ve been to every convention, almost, with the exception of maybe one, since 1984 when I was a Reagan delagate,
I’d have to tell ya, increasingly when you have a party
[... what follows applies exclusively to the Democrat party AND the Obama / Biden regime]
- that lacks inclusiveness,
- that is not focused on real solutions
- and delivering the bread and butter, bottom line issues
- that the American people are looking for,
- that lacks the sense of optimism
- and the big picture strategic thinking about America’s role in the world,
all of that is so desperately needed today;
and my comment when asked was,
as soon as my party is,
as I know it will,
- returns to that sense of inclusiveness,
- that big bold confident optimistic message
- about broadening the tent
- and our role in the world,
which has always been a confident role;
[... what follows DEFINITELY applies to the Republican Party and the Romney / Ryan ticket]
- we don’t articulate messages based on fear,
- we articulate messages based on opportunity.”
This guy is a sick, sick puppy…
Waa waa waa!!
All he gave were generalties. I didn’t hear a single ounce of substance in anything he said. CNN should have asked him to give examples and to explain what he means by terms such as “inclusiveness”. His interview was nothing more than a metaphorical bucket of slime poured on the Republican party. If anyone actually asked him for specifics, then he would have crashed and burned, as all Liberals do when you ask them.
Huntsman is not a Republican! He is an Obama insider! Of course he is going to bash the GOP. Well what do you know he is a scheduled speaker at the DNC convention…what does this say about the guy???
Huntsman was a putz during the one or two debates he attended and he has grown into a bigger putz. Snake oil and snark… he’s a bridge-burner and a loser.
He’s an unnecessary distraction and a troublemaker to boot as well.
I wouldn’t give that man the time of day! No time for him.
Huntsman is a traitor.
Actually, Huntsman is a living, breathing, example of a RINO.
Breaking: Huntsman named new CEO of the “Summers Eve” corporation.
More snotty nonsense from the silver spooned sucking Prince of Platitudes.
I knew this guy was slimy. It was obvious he was a RINO, in the worst kind of way. But the slime factor of this dood is off the charts. The Republican Party needs to divest itself from wishy-washy scumbags like him, or they are done. This likely will be the last election that many of us will vote Republican. And we aren’t going DimocRAT either!
This is one MORMON who even the MORMONS won’t take credit for.
I am sure his DAD cringed when he wrote checks for millions to help get him
started in his PREZI bid, and then bails when no voted came in AT ALL !!
MSNBC favored him a lot, DO I REALLY NEED TO SAY MORE?
HE has one daughter who is already an OPERATIVE for the DEMS working for MSNBC (see connection?), just like McCain’s kid.
HE is a perfect example of a rich kid (dad’s a BILLIONAIRE, but that is cool) who has the newest football on the field and the best one to play with but NOT THE ONLY one.
When his “group of players” gets down 7 touchdowns to the other “TEAM” and little Jonnie wants to change the “rules” or reset the score OR WHINE how it is unfair his team can’t score or defend (HUH?)…..he just grabs his ball and says if you won’t do WHAT HE SAYS, he will just go home.
Funny after he leaves, the “teams” score evenly the rest of the day with one team down ….seven touchdowns….but score never mattered anyway….and the older football was softer to kick and catch….there you go……
Then they go to kid JONESY’s house to eat truly AWESOME Mr. Jones Hamburgers (instead of Jon’s dad’s catered sandwiches), and jump in the little plastic above ground pool and spray hoses, and then lay in the grass and fall asleep. Oh the 1950s-1980s, Mitt’s kind of time we know the DEMS don’t like so much.
Of couse not, they were not even on the field, just whining about something somewhere.
FUTURE MSNBC HOSTS AND CONTRIBUTERS… know what I mean?
Sounds like JON is like what we have in the WH already, and in back-stabbing, they are truly twins.
Please vote for anybody but Jon…er…..OBOZO folks….our kids playground football games and JONES-burgers are depending on us and we can’t fail the kids.
American for AMERICANS in America (no Nope and Chains please)
This (JH) must be one of the “dumbass” Republicans that Bill Press was referring to.
Oh, wait, he wasn’t even there.
so is he going to vote for Obama or what? What’s your point Huntsman?
John Huntsman, never heard of him. Who is this guy?
how to pi$$ off Matthews or any liberal:
YES! We don’t like FuBar Ack because he is 50% black!!!
And what are YOU going to do about it???!!???
Call us racists?? …………………. we call you, rightfully, a total idiot, educated beyond your questionable intelligence….
THIS LOSER WAS A PHONY FROM THE START. He’s only in it for himself. He dropped out and endorsed Romney before anyone else, hoping and praying that Romney would pick him as VP or include him more prominently in the campaign. Thank goodness Romney didn’t.
So, why exactly is this guy a republican? He’s been a RINO for as long as I can remember, he only complains about everything his party does, he’s quick to turn on anyone in the party who disagrees with him, and he consistently comes off as whiny and insignificant.
This “pretty boy” is a total disgrace and should be ignored. Maybe he a Christie can go to China to live together.
Why say this on CNN jerk-off?? You should just go to the DNC convention and trash our party along with your butt-buddy Charlie Crist.
Huntsman is about as relevant as a pile of dog sh*t. He’s sour about something, but no one cares because no one knows who he is.
Huntsman realizes the republican party is a complete joke when you have a party that is 89% white and 37% over 65 yrs of age and 14% are between 45 to 65 yrs old that’s a party that’s dying. Many of the of very people posting comments here are 65 and older. Face it america is changing and the gop is dwelling in the 1950′s LMAO the republican party will be gone within the next 20 yrs when these fossils die.
Republicans don’t get mad at Huntsmans! Charlie Crist endorses Obama too they know a winner when they see one. You people should have had Ron Paul!! but the gop screwed him and tried to screw Santorum in Michigan! go look it up! the gop rigged it up for Willard rommey to win now the billiontaire mormon is going lose and lose big! Hell be honest republicans you don’t even like rommey! LMAO BTY rommey is at best getting 20% of the hispanic vote and wait a minute!!! 0.0% of the black vote aaahhh too bad Willard their just are enough white angry senior citizens to get you elected! try in 2016 lol the truth kills you people doesn’t it? Now watch all the personal attacks with zero facts or debating skills watch! lol
Libotroll. Obama, Crist, and Huntsman are sick puppies.
I think Huntsman is 100% right here. I’m sitting out this election, and I’ll vote again when the GOP moves closer towards what Huntsman describes here. Current GOP only acknowledges two factions: extreme social conservatives and neoconservatives. You guys can keep disparaging people like us, but when Romney loses this election, realize it’s because you lost people like me and Huntsman.
