Katrina also gets upset when Tapper pushes her on whether the alt-right white supremacists are “deplorable.”
I’m a little divided here – Tapper is absolutely right to try to rip into her for her continued absurd exaggerations about what people say. But to force the Trump campaign to denounce the alt-right as “deplorable” just seems like a trap to help Hillary’s rhetoric. On the other hand, none of this would be happening if the alt-right hadn’t been encouraged by Trump’s racialist rhetoric. So it’s all pretty crappy.
