Krauthammer nails it:

Well these are the fruits of a completely incompetent, epically incompetent foreign policy, diplomacy by Obama. Here is the president of the greatest democracy on earth being lectured, insulting really, in an American newspaper about human rights, about international law, about the protection of the elderly and children in wartime. I mean the hutzpah of writing that by a KGB thug whose last adventure in the world was to invade Georgia, detach two of its provinces and declare them independent, and who for the last decade has been supplying Assad, who we are essentially calling a war criminal, with huge amounts of weaponry including the elements of poison gas.

What we’re seeing here is Putin so confident of himself after Obama had to acquiesce to this face-saving negotiation that he could actually engage in this. It’s an index of how Obama has been played and continues to be right now in Geneva.

All I think about is what Mitt Romney said a year ago and how America re-elected Mr. Flexible.

  • poorhardworker

jcrichichi Stunning to reflect on…but yet…no so much….we all knew who Obama was and is!  It is time for some medicine to defeat this virulent virus!!!

  • Pancake3

Dr. Krauthammer sometimes shows a liberal streak, but he sure is dead on about the current “utterly incompetent” foreign policy, or lack thereof.  Anything to keep Fast and Furious and Benghazi off the daily headlines.

  • famouswolf

Oh man, that medicine is gonna hurt REAL BAD when it comes.

  • badbadlibs

The utter failure of this man and his administration is beyond an embarrassment, it’s down right dangerous. We will never be defeated by an outside enemy, the one that will dwells in the WH. I have no idea what it would take to wake up the minds of democrats, but if this doesn’t do it, nothing ever will.

Oh my!  I would love to have seen Juan Williams’ reaction to CK’s comments.  I would love to see how Williams would spin Obama’s Chamberlainian fecklessness and failure..

  • subie201

Let us go back in time to 1961-1962, Bay of Pigs and the Cuban Missile Crisis. How would Obama have handled it? Perhaps he would have been as chummy with the Communists as he is with the Muslim Brotherhood!

  • PressWatchusa

I think even Charles (who is pretty smart) is
running out of adjectives that describe our preezy

  • CalCoolidge

And then he went on to say repealing Obamacare is a suicide mission.
No matter how much Charles rags on Obama, it never leaves my mind that he was Mondale’s speechwriter in 1984, where his job then was explaining why we should not vote for the greatest foreign policy President in US history.  Because another thing I can forget is four years before that when the Ayatollah wouldn’t even THINK about eff’n with Reagan.  And neither would Putin.

  • TIMERUNNERSC

“Epically Incompetent”  now that’s a mouth full and the perfect description for this bunch of misfits. So move over Moby Dick there is a new epic that’s taken the #1 spot. The adventure is called “The Obama Administration”  Chapter one is Who Has A Clue?, or Democrats for short.

  • njmom

Oh yeah Obama has been played like the strings on a violin, the one and the same that the MSM told us was the smartest guy in the world, the one they made into their Messiah and the one who wasn’t satisfied destroying our nation he had to meddle in Libya and Egypt and make things worse there also. Obama is a failure at home and abroad and his legacy will make Jimmy Carter’s look like George Washington’s.

  • njmom

subie201 Either Moscow or Havana would’ve claimed possession of the US so we’d either be speaking Russian or Spanish.

  • The Sentinel

Obama is a fool. I know, I know… he’s a fox when it comes to destroying the nation. But he’s destroying America’s image and reputation – single handedly with his gross incompetence and foolish liberal approaches to the world. This small man has delusions of godhood and if he’d grow up for a minute and quit campaigning and dividing America for political purposes, he’d realize that he’s doing so much harm to himself, his ego, his reputation, etc. as well as too this nation – I mean, if he’s so smart and wise… is this now some sort of liberal/muslim/socialist method of being suicidal for the cause? Is he now being a jihadist for the cause? Is this the legacy this arrogant bastard wants to leave? Highly doubtful.
He’s a mindless peacock and it’s not in his nature to allow dirt on his royal robes. He screwed up royally. Too bad as a flaming liberal moron, he’s ill equipped to recover from this and salvage any respect or effective governance. I doubt even his precious lying press can keep up the illusion of his so-called greatness.
He’s a fool. And he never had ANY business being this country’s President. I’m completely ashamed of him and sadly, I secretly relish all the embarrassment that is now being shoved in his face. Eat that crow Barry… tasty huh? Liar! Incompetent fool! Idiot! The sad part is that he is the only America some people see… and he’s a huge pimple where a fair complexion should be.

And why do we allow the NY Times to exist? They should of never ever printed that piece of propaganda. It’s time to for the Gray Lady to RIP.

  • Amituofo2013

I read once that Pope wrote to Putin. Shall we appreciate Putin’s firmly expressed determination to defend Christians worldwide at least? It is normally not a natural thing to seperate a country from the head of the country. The world needs someone to stand up against USA nowadays. No country could afford the fundamental transformation.  And this world does not need a fundamental transformation please.

  • Laurel A

Amituofo2013 No because he isn’t defending any Christians worldwide. That is just icing on his cake. It’s a side benefit and nothing more.

  • Laurel A

The Sentinel He isn’t a fox…he doesn’t need to be with a dumbed down electorate.

    badbadlibs
“A nation can survive its fools and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and he carries his banners openly against the city. But the traitor moves among those within the gates freely, his sly whispers rustling through all alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears no traitor; he speaks in the accents familiar to his victim, and he wears their face and their garments and he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation; he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of a city; he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to be feared. The traitor is the plague.”

I’m sorry but I disagree. At least with dear leader being incompetent, as he’s always had an agenda aligning himself with sunnis so of course he is arming them now against Assad. Also have to disagree with America being a democracy. Sorry but that always is one of my major peeves. We are NOT a democracy, at least we never used to be. We’re a Constitutional Republic.
As for Putin, I read his piece in the Times, and he is taking full advantage of dear leader’s staged waffling. Obama is doing nothing but letting both sides abide the time by arming themselves.

CalCoolidge Charles K. wrote for Mondale?  I did not know this?    Makes me look at things with  a new perspective.  Thanks for the info.

  • famouswolf

Yes, but he also was referring to Crassus and Pompey. They were all vying for the Roman mobs’ favor, but Cicero feared Caesar most.
They were all ‘infecting and undermining’ the Roman Republic, in much the same manner as obama and the rinos are our Republic. Foreign wars for profit, dependence on foreign resources, bread and circuses for the Roman mob, foreign troops in the legions, etc. It does sound scarily familiar and the quote fits.
One of the scary bits for me is that after the Republic fell the Roman Empire lasted for almost 1500 years in one form or another (after Cicero’s death), and over 200 as the dominant force in the world, but in a new autocratic form under rulers with god like power over the populace. If the USA becomes an autocratic dictatorship of some sort, will we be like the Roman Empire and keep a despotic stranglehold over the rest of the world for centuries, perhaps with islam calling the shots, lording  it over everyone with the military tech they are even now stealing and being given? Is that our legacy and our destiny? To have the scum profit off all the blood and sacrfice of our history?
It’s a nightmare, the way things seem to be turning out.

  • Dr. Strangelove

strangernfiction That’s what I keep saying; he’s not incompetent, as all the talking heads on FOX and most of them on talk radio assert, he’s using Alinsky/Marxist tactics to bring down the economy and make the constitution irrelevant. Anybody who thinks he’s dumb or incompetent is being played. Fundamentally 0’s a coward and strong man leaders such as Putin eat him for lunch.

  • Dr. Strangelove

Laurel A NYT still exists because of little things like the 1st amendment and free enterprise. As much as we disagree with the progs they have as much right to speak their minds (I use the term loosely) as we do.

  • Dr. Strangelove

Turning the USA into a second class world power is all part of the plan. 0 hates this country and if Putin makes us look like fools, it’s just part of bringing us down a peg or two. While we’re focused on this sideshow, the government is still borrowing billions of dollars every day and “printing” more on the side. When the economy collapses and we bring the rest of the world down with us, they’re really going to hate us then.

  • Desjardins

  • http://Yahoo NPC1

PoCoTex NPC1 The Sentinel   People better start examining their thinking process. It’s utterly insane for a nation of 300 million plus to depend, and rely solely on one person to ‘lead’ them. This thinking might have worked out in the past, way back, when a leader was a leader that agreed with its  people, and the people had full confidence in it’s leader, and all were on the same page, with a common goal. This nation used to the pride of the world to be “the melting pot” to bring people together to create a better life for all. People came here and rolled up their sleeves and made the best of the opportunities available to them. Of course many did not want to succeed and in many cases we’re reaping the results of their non efforts now. A prime example is obama’s background and his family background. In most instances families with that kind of track record, used to live on the wrong side of the tracks. It is my belief that when the ‘paid for voters’ have to start fending for them selves, in other words, a hand up, instead of giving  a liveable life style to half of the country, that is a “comfortable down trodden underclass'”  things may change for the better. But as long as politicians keep ‘paying’  for votes thing will not get any better anytime soon.  We, here, may be blogging, posting and screaming, but in reality we’re “singing to the choir”, but that’s ok ,at least the Scoop gives us the opportunity to express ourselves, and that is a good thing, for people to be able to come together, and share a common goal and that is, to express our frustrations and opinions in a respectful way  .Many of us belong to Tea parties to give voice to our politicians as well, and more people need to be encouraged to join ranks and speak with one voice.  There are a lot of splinter groups, and I’m afraid their voices might not be heard, and get lost in the wilderness.  Anyway,I loved you post, it’s right on.

  • Laurel A

Dr. Strangelove Laurel A When responding to me in future please exhibit more intellect. I wasn’t referring to the 1st Amendment of which I am well aware of. I was referring to good old fashioned Americans who once upon a time would not have put up with that kind of propaganda printed for the benefit of despots. Now if you don’t see a problem with NY Times printed the op-ed lecturing Americans by a man who has serious blood and human rights issues on his hands…then I pity you. If you don’t see a problem with an American based newspaper biting the hand that feeds it and defecating in it’s own bed…then I pity you. Hiding behind the 1st Amendment is what people do when then have nothing else left to justify really bad behavior which is exactly what NY Times did.

    • Dr. Strangelove

He doesn’t even care about Islam. He was born to an Islamic father and educated (in Indonesia) while being the son of an Islamic step-father. Therefore, according to the Islamic text, he is a Muslim, period. No exceptions.

Islamic scholarship differs on its punishment, ranging from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capital_punishment#Islam – based on an interpretation of certain http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hadiths – to no punishment at all as long as they do not rebel against the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamic society or religion.
