The thing about Krauthammer is that he reads the left's talking points about 33 percent of the time. He trashed Palin and most of the candidates, repeating the left about them.

In this Presidential race I would rather be carrying around my statement that there is a concern about the security at the Olympics, which is true and has been reported on for weeks, than carrying around my statement that the American businessman's initiatives and successes are a myth.

I believe Romney already tried that years ago and that is part of his problem from the start here in that he supposedly inauthentic. However Romney's comment on his wife's horse and watching probably just turned off those horse fans that may of been warming up to him.
Krauthammer is exactly right about Mitt's visit to the the "Nation of Great Brittan" as Mitt called it. Total disaster and his answer/comment about his wife's horse was shameful and insensitive. He basically said that he didn't give a whip about the horse or the event and wasn't going to watch. Way to back up your spouse. If that was my wife's horse, I would have been positive and interested about it, not dismissive. People don't care what event the horse is in, but at least appear supportive of your wife's interests and personal life.
Whats the deal here? Krauthhammer was all about Romney in the primarys, nobody else would do,now he runs him down???Just like an elitist republican to help Obama now,way to go Krauthammer.
That reminds me of the way National Review decided to endorse Romney in 2008.
They came out with an issue with him on the cover looking all Presidential and stuff. Then for several months they bagged on him with wet blanket conservative articles and comments like Krauthammer and Ponnuru are known for, all seeming to chide Romney at every turn. What a stoopid way to run an endorsement.
I hate to say it but I guess after people like Carter, Bush, and Obama it doesn't matter but Romney doesn't look presidential. What is that shoulder thing. Romney needs to act like he belongs on the stage and not like he doesn't.

In a certain way, I agree with Krauthammer that "all Romney had to do, is say nothing". I guess having headed the Salt Lake City Olympics he saw the flaws in the London one. I think it's his second nature that made him cite the obvious, except he was not in friendly territories. The Brits are also under a lot of stress, now to state the lack of security is like calling for a catastrophe. He should have mentioned his concerns to private ears not in front of the press.
cameron and barry's little friendship makes me suspicious of all this. Mittens is a lot of things, he never strikes me as rude.

I haven't read enough about Romney's remarks to comment. But as far as Ann Romney's horse competing in Olympic Dressage is concerned, thousands of horse fans all over the US are rooting for Rafalca!
It takes a very special horse and YEARS of training to get to the level of Olympic caliber competition. For all intents and purposes it IS a Once in a Lifetime thing. And for crying out loud neither Ann nor Mitt Romney is riding the horse. It's not even remotely like John Kerry windsurfing.

I guess Charles hadn't heard that they were short about 5000 security people and had to bring in service men. Romney also went on to say that no Olympics come off without mistakes and things have a way of ironing themselves out. Clearly, Charles needs to eat more fiber.
The British media made a HUGE deal over nothing. This was a stupid thing to get all excited about. Romney said nothing wrong.
I understand Charles' point (I don't agree with it)... this unnecessarily gave the left some ammunition. However, they will say and do anything to redirect attention away from Obama and his gaffe no matter what Romney does or doesn't say, so who cares. And not putting an Olympic-capable horse in the Olympics? Are you serious Charles? Then the left will bash Romney for not being patriotic or something by not helping America to shine during the Olympics.
This is an off day for Charles. I really expected him to state something similar to my point(s). Not because I'm right... but because it makes more sense imo.
Cameron is a dolt. Big Obama suck up. Krauthammer goes up and down on the issues - sometimes I agree with him, sometimes I don't. It's just how he is. Personally, I don't think London is ready for the Olympics. They have a huge Muslim problem over there, and already, there have been major security issues. Romney said nothing wrong.

The public could care less about those comments. No is worried about the Olympics in this country. We have the Obama Olympics going for almost four years now. We are having security problems because of it too. Romney should just keep walking and pay no attention.
