Yesterday it was announced that the US had chosen to train 1200 ‘moderate’ Syrian rebels from the FSA to fight ISIS. Now as we’ve pointed out on this blog several times, this isn’t about ISIS, it’s about Assad. And this is evidenced once again by Obama’s refusal to choose the kurds to do their bidding.
Walid Shoebat points out that the Kurds were angry that they were rejected by the US:
Saud Al Mulla of Kurdistan’s Democratic Party in Syria is upset. He said in connection with this news on Thursday, that “the Kurdish National Council is part of the coalition, though these fighters will form the future of Syria’s army, it is the right of the Kurds to participate in the training program sponsored by the U.S.”
He noted that “the Kurdish National Council will ask the coalition to involve Kurdish fighters in response to the program”, pointing that “there is a lack of communications [from the U.S.] regarding this direction, and that in the absence of the coalition’s response, the Kurdish National Council and as part of the Syrian opposition and given that the Kurds are an essential part of Syria , they will demand the United States to be involved in the fight in response to the program directly.”
So basically the Syrian Kurds, who are part of the larger coalition against ISIS, were completely rejected by Obama and they are pissed about it, still demanding to be apart of this group. Why? Because they really want to defeat ISIS.
And that right there is one of the main reasons why Obama didn’t choose them, because they would rather defeat ISIS than Assad. If Obama’s goal were really to defeat ISIS, he probably would have chosen them. But instead, he rejects them out of hand because Assad isn’t their target.
So instead our Muslim Brotherhood president chooses jihadis from the FSA who are all part of the Muslim Brotherhood and actually want to defeat Assad. Dabiq.
