In a really odd segment this morning on “Morning Joe,” Mike Brzezinski reported (from her pajamas) that Trump told her that his tweet about nukes meant a new nuclear arms race.
“Let it be an arms race. We will outmatch them at every pass and outlast them all.”
Wow.

Before that segment, Sean “SparklePony” Spicer was attempting to clarify what Trump meant by his nuke tweet, and it really sounded like an interventionist neo-con foreign policy. I thought that’s what everyone was saying he was against?

What happens when Pakistan says, “screw you, we want to keep our nukes”? What about India, who is our ally? If Trump is so opposed to nuclear proliferation, why did he say before the election that he didn’t give a damn if other countries got nukes?
Ironically when Spicer went before USA Today he literally said there wasn’t going to be an “arms race”:
