LISTEN: Mark Levin BLASTS Murkowski, Collins for trying to sabotage Devos nomination

Mark Levin opened his show yesterday ripping into both Senators Murkowski and Collins for announcing they would vote against Trump’s education secretary nominee Betsy Devos, potentially sabotaging the nomination.

Levin revealed that he’s never been that worked up about the nomination of Devos, pointing out that she had a scattered record on the issue of Common Core. But despite that, he feels we aren’t going to get much better than Devos and said if he were in the Senate he’d vote for her.

Levin’s main issue in his segment was that Murkowski specifically said that it was Devos’s support for vouchers, school choice, that was her reason for opposing Devos.

Listen below:

I think Levin is right about the NEA swaying Murkowski. After all, school choice is a fundamental conservative position that is one of the solutions to our bad public schools, especially when it comes to the poor who can’t afford to send their kids to better schools.

I heard Murkowski making the excuse this morning on MSNBC that most of the education in Alaska is public and that’s why she isn’t supporting Devos. But that’s ridiculous. I know she’s the Senator of a specific state, but Devos isn’t going to be Secretary of Education for Alaska. Are children in other states not important?

Murkowski is simply a RiNO wimp who cares more about her political career than she does about the proper education of children. It’s really that simple and why we need term limits.
