It’s no surprise that Trump would stoke a fight between Rick Perry and Ted Cruz for the Senate seat in 2018, especially after Perry endorsed him so quick and early. And of course after Cruz refused to endorse him.

Trump: “I’ll tell you what. I’ve been hearing a lot about that and I don’t know if he wants to do it [audience member in background: “Senate”] but boy will he do well. People love him in Texas [audience member in background: “Senate”] and he was one great Governor. [Inaudible] I don’t know what he’s going to do. If he’s got an announcement…then it will blow Trump away, they’ll say Trump was also there, right…headline. But I don’t know what he’s going to do but you are one popular guy all over, but in Texas in particular. [Inaudible].”
Trump hates Cruz and just wants to jab at him after the convention. I doubt very seriously Perry would ever run for the Senate in Texas.
You know the funny thing? If Cruz were to turn around and kiss Trump’s ring, Trump would be praising him like he did last year.
Trump is the ultimate cuck enabler.
