Wow. This morning Ken Cuccinelli broke from his usual decorum and told CNN commentator Symone Sanders to ‘shut up for a second’ so he could finish talking. It didn’t go well.

I went back and watched the entire seven minutes leading up to this, and it was actually a very civil back and forth between Cuccinelli and Sanders. There were both similar moments of brief disagreement from both throughout the segment with no issue.
Within the previous minute or two of this clip Sanders made a ridiculous statement about their being neo-nazis and white supremacists in the White House, via Gorka, and Cuccinelli completely disagreed with that. But then Cuccinelli also disagreed with Sanders that the violence on Saturday was a result of the Lee statue being removed.
I didn’t feel like it got out of hand at all though, as Cuomo eventually interrupted Sanders to get a point of clarification from Cuccinelli so he could speak. As he started to explain, that’s where this clip starts.
Bottom line: Cuccinelli wasn’t getting as railroaded as he made it sound, at least not in the previous seven minutes. I think he just got a little frustrated toward the end and in an out of character moment told Sanders to ‘shut up for a minute’.
Pretty funny though to see someone like him tell someone else to shut up.
