Marc Lamont Hill criticized George Takei’s disgusting comments against Justice Clarence Thomas, but it was on the basis that only blacks can say racist stuff against other blacks:
Just saw George Takei's comments on Clarence Thomas… I think he overstepped.

It's one thing to critique Thomas' positions. I do all the time. But to suggest that's he's "blackface clown" and "unqualified" is wrong.

I'm also not a fan of non-Black people calling Blacks "Uncle Toms" "minstrels" etc. It's insensitive and unacceptable.

There's plenty of space to challenge Clarence Thomas' ideas. But part of anti-Black racism is the perenniel questioning of our very existence

If @GeorgeTakei were Ted Nugent, and Clarence Thomas were Obama, we'd be having a whole different conversation about his "blackface" comment

Of course, context matters. And people's histories matter. But we must check our allies when they say/do inappropriate things too.

When some people pointed this out, he lashed out at them too LOL!
So apparently a bunch of conservatives are uncomfortable agreeing with me. So they're nitpicking my words to find outrage at me. Lord…

Ah well at least he threw us a bone on this one. Montel Williams agreed, but then later threw conservatives under the bus:
The following RT's of mine ARE an endorsement. George Takei gutted a legitimate point by overstepping w fluff pic.twitter.com/8zt8iRKXs3
