Excellent commentary Mr. Levin!!!!!!! You nailed it!
Bill O'Reilly has become a non-essential TV personality! He is definitely more in love with himself than with anything else! Actually this is why he protects Obama.....one narcissist to another.......so to speak! I know many folks who have stopped watching him. I may tune in when I know that Laura Ingraham is substituting!
O'Reilly is governed by his ego and a vast amount of ignorance. His latest expositions on "faith" show that he has no substance - according to his own words, his belief system is based on "allegories."
Similarly, his opinions on Dear Leader and Michelle Bachman are based his own desire to appear "reasonable." The Tyrant quotes Alinsky, fills his staff with communists, appropriates people's earnings and property but O'Reilly can't bring himself to acknowledge the truth.
Bashing M. Bachman accomplishes the same thing for O'Reilly - it puts him in the middle ground of the "sophisticated" purveyors of "acceptable" thought. One can't expose the progressives for who they really are, but conservatives are fair game.
Too bad O'Reilly can't show some of that anger he's been demonstrating lately at what the progressive democrats are doing to our country and our freedoms.
Michele Bachman is a courageous hero... one of the last remaining (consistently) sane voices in congress.
The fact that she's attacked so much (like Sarah Palin was - maybe not to the same degree though) indicates that she's doing her job when most other congressmen/women aren't.
She deserves so much better - she's earned it. Unless she pulls a Scott Brown and is absorbed by the Borg in Washington, she will have my undying support.
OReilly, Limbaugh, Hannity, Boortz, Levin, and all of the others are commentary shows. They express their opinions on what is going on in the world and who is doing it. Just remember that these are THEIR opinions and are not news or gospel. Do they make mistakes? Yes all of them have, because none are perfect and all have sinned. These guys do in excess of 40 hours a week expressing their views and getting it wrong once in awhile is something that happens, just be thankful that for the most part they get it right.
@Diogenes_wy Oh, come on, O'Reilly spent how much time on trying to smear Bachmann? O'Reilly spent five minutes smearing Bachmann--now do you really think he misspoke? He had his comments planned. I can't stand O'Reilly as he is an egomaniac who now looks like he is trying to curry favor with the White House. I guess he wants to get one of those plumb inside jobs like so many other "so-called journalists" got in the White House. Obama and his regime plucked key people from the media, put them into his White House pool and thus goes the control of the media. Not a coincidence.
You complain about 5 minutes out of how many hours of commentary he posts weekly, monthly, yearly?
When the other guy's ox is being gored, we cheer but let it be our ox and we display knee-jerking indignant intolerance. Which is human nature and not necessarily a bad thing as long as we do not let it become an obsession and take it to extremes.
Bill O Lieary with Britt Humous took their cheap shots at Sarah Palin on Monday night, and took up for the little
"Wrecking Ball," er "Architect", er "Turd Blossum". Keep it up Billo you and FOX are hemmoraging viewers, cant wait for the new Conservative network that debuts on July 4th as FOX moves left. Good call Mark Levin......
Sorry Bachmann messed up, should have defended her speech, but instead ran away.
Credit to Mark Levin for defending her because she couldn't do it.
@StevenValdez She didn't have to defend it because she referenced the source in her speech. Any reporter worthy of the title should have found the source Bachmann used and if they had a problem with it, bring on the author to discuss it, and not try to sandbag her in a hallway. But extra marks for lameness definitely go to CNN.
O'Reilly would have a point if this were say, 1980. Back then it would qualify as an "oh, lighten up Francis" moment. But O'Reilly just had to defend the indefensible here, just to appear "bipartisan" or something. He comes across as a backbiting old crank who's more interested in viewers than he is the state of our nation.
@K-Bob I respectfully disagree, why not defend it, she said in a speech.. So if you say something written by some else you don't have to answer for it, you have to go to author? I'm sorry but the perception of her running away and then later on BillO bailing out, is reality.. Why was it so hard for her say what you said? "I read in a book from so and so" and force the media's hand. Like I said before credit to others defending her. -- Sorry for the late reply, busy work day.
@StevenValdez @K-Bob We don't get to see the entire exchange. I'd bet money Bachmann said as much to the reporter, and the reporter wanted to press her stupid narrative. The video begins mid conversation, while Bachmann is obviously moving at speed.
O'Reilly has turned me off many times! The last straw was when he interviewed Roma Downey and her husband, Mark Burnett. His statement, "the Bible is full of allegories" did it! I haven't watched him since. As a Catholic, he claims - all I can say is that he does not know the Bible. He obviously has no clue where he is going to end up eternally with statements like that. If a woman is not subject to him, he seems to feel threatened. He's a dope for bashing Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann. I have news for him, he doesn't know half what he thinks he knows!!
Me thinks O'Reilly hates women, especially talented, powerful women. He despises Sarah Palin so much that he will build up Michelle Bachmann if it helps diminish Palin. The more powerful, the more he despises them.
I must be living in a surreal world! When is the President's dog walker more mportant than the death of 4 US citizen's !?
Somebody needs to look Bill O'Reilly in the eye and simply tell him to SHUT THE HELL UP!
And yeah Bill...I AM A PARTISAN, SO ARE YOU, SO IS THE LEFT...DIFFERENCE IS I AM RIGHT IN EVERY SENSE OF THE WORD....you not so much.
Why didn't Bachmann stand up for her speech? It seemed the facts were on her side.
@DanaZZGarcia She did stand up for it. As she said in the attempted hallway sandbagging by CNN, "most of the speech was about Benghazi." That's standing up, big time.
Too many Republicans respond to these stupid, gotcha questions with weak-kneed denials. You know the drill:
- Reporter: "Why is your party so racist?"
- Republican: "But, but, we're not racist!"
She did what too many refuse to do: fight!
@Mominnv I don't think Shep ever hid it. But you are right, he is a progressive.
@ryanomaniac @Mominnv Shep (what a goofy name) is definitely out of the closet.
For some reason Bill thinks he is the guru of all things political and a lot of other subjects as well. I don't watch him anymore.
Bill O is full of himself. I've read 3 of his books. The Lincoln and Kennedy Killing books were worth the read, and I learned some things. The previous book really annoyed me. Way to opinionated and I found myself screaming at a book. The thing I noticed about the three books is that he had a co-author with the two killing books, and me thinks it's a Bill Ayers to Barry thing. The killing books were really much better written than the previous books.
@americalsgt That's possibly because JellO'Reilly is a former history teacher. I'd hope he could grasp what interests the average reader about history. Politics? Not so much.
@E Lee Zimmerman @americalsgt Now if we could get someone to write a good book about John Fries. I've been working on it for years, and I it's starting to look like it will be incinerated with me.
I quit watching BillO long ago.He spends half his show hawking his books anyway.
Others have said it better than I could...O'Reilly is a blowhard. He apparently loves nothing more than the sound of his own voice.
If O'Reilly has nothing better to report on maybe he could fill his listeners in on how much his divorce is costing him and whether or not the church will excommunicate his ex-wife. That's at least as pertinent as this stuff
I stopped watching Fox ages ago and I see I haven't missed anything. I wish they had asked Bachmann about Hillary's assistant who's married to Weiner and related to someone in the Muslim Brotherhood. I'm sure she would have had plenty to say. Now, that would have been very interesting.
@comoesta3 me too comoesta. I don't believe for a second that there isn't a connection to Uma Weiner and the Muslim Brotherhood.
Who watches Bill O anyway ???? Many have caught on to him and he is one step from MSNBC and Tingles. Who cares what he has to opine on?????
You know, I saw that segment live when it aired last night on Bill-O (whom I'm starting to call 'Jell-O' around our house 'cause he's gone so soft; and I asked myself, "What is the purpose of running this bit? Is Uncle Bill trying to show some love for CNN?" There was no rational reason for Jell-O'Reilly to run it EXCEPT for (as Mark pointed out) to take a swipe at Bachmann. He tried -- rather desperately -- to tie it in as 'news' for the day, but it just fell flat.
FOX is becoming just another hack LSM outlet. 0'Really being perhaps the worst although Shep would be if he had a listening audience. 0 has serious women issues.
@deTocqueville1 As is Glenn Beck. He is such a disappointment these days. The Blaze is absolutely Progressive which he rails against for ratings then hires only Progressives to write articles. There is only Propaganda to be found LSM, FNC, The Blaze Hot Air are all the same.
@steveangll77 @deTocqueville1 Beck does a lot of stunningly dumb things, but if you can't see the difference between Hot Air and The Blaze, you aren't looking at either of them closely.
Beck isn't progressive, he's just idiosyncratic. In general he's more libertarian than anything else, but he holds some opinions that make libertarians go "whaaa?" But the squishes at Hot Air are pretty much useless. Beck is at least making headway, for all that you want to scream at him occasionally.
@bongobear @2016 So that's Weak-night lineup. Actually, last few days mostly sucked across the board.
And that's Michele Bachmann's point. With sequester, closed WH, open borders, Level 1 criminal illegal aliens released on Americans yet the dog walker is still employed making $105,000/year
