Mark Levin says that he wasn’t entirely sure what Obama was trying to say with his ‘Sarah Palin/hockey mom/pit bull’ joke, but he’s surmised since that Obama was comparing Sarah Palin to a dog. He contends that if he made a joke like that about Michelle Obama, he’d never heard the end of it. Which leaves the question, according to Levin, “when is the day going to come when we men stand up for our women, the conservatives?

I think the bigger question is when are conservatives going to take on liberals without worrying what the media thinks? The liberal media knows that a double standard exists, and the left uses that to their full advantage. Conservatives need to start making a noise as loud or louder than liberals whenever something is said about conservative women, men, or anything else conservative.

    • wodiej

NO, the bigger question is the one posed by Levin-when are men going to stand up for conservative women??

      • B-Funk

Absolutely! I think that question cuts across all spectrums of our culture. Not just politics. Our women should NEVER have to wonder if we’ll not stand up and defend them from such vileness. Are there any real men out there? (other than Levin, Savage, etc)

        • GetWhatYouPayFor

Juan Williams and Brett Baire???? Oop’s, forgot they were “colleagues” of Sarah’s. LOL!

When the President of the United States takes a shot at you, basically calling you a dog………..you are definitely in his head! Sarah from Alaska is certainly not insignificant, eh? Keep it going Sarah! Show the male elites how to fight like a girl!

    • marketcomp

Sarah is very tough! I think Mark is referring to the liberla, the President, and establishment like Mike Huckaee, or Karl Rove and the other RINOs who probably wouldn’t even standup for thier own wives. The big voices stand up for Conservative women like Mark, Rush, and Sean and in Sarah’s case Todd Palin is always by her side and I think he can take them out!

  • wodiej

I’d like to know that day too Mr. Levin. Especially since we just had a thread here at RS making the lame excuse that women earn 77% of what women make because we like lower paying careers. Also lots of comments making derogatory remarks about a woman. How about it?

    • http://www.facebook.com/salvatore.anello Salvatore Anello

It isn’t that you like lower paying careers, it is that you choose lower paying careers. It is important to use the truth when you make an arguement, just so you know for next time.

    • RefudiateObama2012

The problem with a blanket statement such as “women earn 77% of what men earn” is that it doesn’t address the cause, if that figure is even correct. Think about it. If all women and men were of equal ability and drive, why would any company hire a man when they could hire a woman for 23% less than the man?

The only way that the 77% number is objective is if it measured men and women with the exact same experience, the exact same education, and the exact same work habits, the exact same work results, and the exact same attendance record.

You stated before that you had to settle for something less than what you think you are qualified for and you claimed it was because you are a woman. Maybe it was due to something other than gender.

There are a number of reasons why some women make less than some men, and gender discrimination occurs, but it’s not as prevalent as that 77% figure suggests.

I stand up for conservative women every chance I get, to the point that my knuckles are raw. I will continue to do so. But it’s what it is.

I’m all for equal pay for equal work as well. But I take exception to this 77% number that the liberals are throwing around. That Madcow conversation implied that it was equal hours in equal job positions that determined it.

      That is false.

According to The American Association of University Women, that number actually comes from the ‘annual median earnings’ and those earnings numbers were obtained through ‘national and state census data for full time workers over 16′.

The census data is a raw number and does not include all the details of each person’s job, so Madcow was being disengenuous (she lied) when stating otherwise. But, then, I wasn’t surprised.

Women like jobs where they can wear nice clothes and work in air-conditioned comfort and not mess up their hair/nails. Then they complain that garbage collectors get paid more than, say, school teachers.

Get up at the butt-crack of dawn, hang off a truck by one arm, grab garbage cans and dump them into the truck, hit the hydraulic lever and make sure you don’t get crushed with the garbage… in the cold of winter or the heat of summer, go home smelling like ass.

Ya think it’s worth a few shekels to put up with that?

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_E4C65QOIQ4XH67F6MEHWTXGODY Alan

Levin would be taken off the radio if he had said that about Mrs. Obama.

But, its fair game when it’s the other way around. I get the sense that people are afraid to stand up to this President, especially Congress.

  • http://navalwarfare.blogspot.com/ Libertyship46

Romney had better watch out. The Obama people are trying to “Palenize” him already at this stage of the game, making jokes about Romney in an effort to marginalize him. Always remember what happened to Palin in 2008. I think Tina Fey did more to win that election than anything Obama ever did. Once the far left makes fun of you, tries to make you look foolish, the impressiion sets in with the voting public that A) You’re dumb, and B) You’re not a serious candidate. Even though Joe Biden is borderline insane, and many Democrats even admit it, you never hear a whole bunch of jokes about him. And let’s not even talk about Obama. I think the hard-hitting jokes Jimmy Kimmel made about Obama the other day were some of the first negative jokes make about Obama at a really big event. So the Obama team is going to try and do the same thing with Romney that they did with Palin in 2008, and that’s make fun of him and belittle him. If Romney were smart, he’d start getting some people to start making some very piercing jokes about Obama. After all, Obama has given him so much material to work with.

    • John_Frank

Why are Republicans and conservatives not slamming Obama for this joke?

To suggest that Tina Fey did more to win the election is nonsense.

But, the fact Republicans and conservatives refuse to fight back is appalling; and just another reason why Romney’s campaign is not going anywhere with conservatives.

      • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

To this day there are so many people in this country who believe that Sarah Palin said. “I can see Russia from my house…” Too bad that it was Tina Fey who said it.

    • Nukeman60

I think Tina Fey did more to win that election than anything Obama ever did‘ – libertyship

John McCain did more to win that election for Obama than anyone else. The left was smart enough to know that Palin was a danger to their goals and pulled all the stops to make sure she didn’t change the narrative. As it was, she almost did.

They are afraid of her to this day and jump everytime she says ‘frog’. That’s why she still lives, rent free, in Obamas brain.

    • http://twitter.com/PuritanD71 PuritanD71

I saw an article just the other day that Romney and fellow Republicans are taking a cue from McCain’s campaign and not going to attack Obama.

The gift that keeps on giving…..

      • Joseph ewing

You “saw an article”…maybe even on the Internet?

So it must be true, right?

Campaign ads from Romney have already attacked the Pres…and based on his Primary strategy – where he attacked his opponents 24/7 – there is no reason to believe he won’t continue this with Obama.

Romney’s primary M.O. is going negative – expect him to continue it going forward.

        • http://twitter.com/PuritanD71 PuritanD71

No, the article was in my local newspaper. The headline was roughly quoting here, “Republicans following Romney campaign in toning down attacks on Obama.” Whether it is true or not, the headlines and article stated differently.

On the other hand, his primary m.o. is not encouraging. When he had opportunities to speak towards the issues of Obama, the most he would do is either agree with the situation or call Obama misguided or in over his head. Not the knuckle dragging, lying campaign against his primary opponents.

      • c4pfan

Not sure, but I see where your coming from.

    • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

If mittens were smart, he’d have already made commercials showing dear leader’s idiot moments, 57 states, Hawaii being in Asia, speaking Austrian, quatro de mayo etc. He needs to get up on dear leaders stupidity first to avoid always being on the defense.

  • SaraPFan

The Obama just has Sarah Palin running around in his mind. Every American knows where the pit bull and lipstick phrase came from and he’s still bring it up four years later.

  • brendawatkins

If Obama didn’t suck as much as he does at his day job, I’d suggest he not give up his day job in hopes of becoming a comedian.

  • anyonebutbarry2012

Sarah still lives in his mind, barry needs to go nov 2012. He is no leader. so where is the outrage from the R’s.Mark spoke up, but who else did? They never show the least amount of outrage about anything, third party here we come.

  • narciso

He was still smarting from the Dept of Agriculture rule rescission, after she had called attention to it

  • http://twitter.com/Jcdavidson37 John C. Davidson

I finally figured out what Obama is up to. He’s auditioning for a late night talk show starting i late January. Excuse me, an early morning show when most of us Conservatives are sleeping because we have to go to work in the morning.

  • KenInMontana

Give me five minutes with him, and I will school him.

Note; To those members of the Secret Service who may be looking in, my word of honor I will not lay a hand on him. He may think I have though, by the time I am finished with him.

  • http://twitter.com/Jcdavidson37 John C. Davidson

It is obvious to me that Obama is auditioning for a late night TV talk show starting late January. To be successful, it really should be scheduled after midnight. At that time most Conservatives are sleeping because they have to go to work in the morning.

  • http://twitter.com/lovetocompete Lona Pflum

When are conservative women going to stand up for conservative women? I belong to a conservative group on FB and not all but many of the men and WOMEN in the group did not like Michele Bachman or Sarah Palin. Go figure!

  • blackbird

I completely agree Mark, that joke was sickening all way round. Obama has no shame.

  • DocBarry1

The men and women in the Republican establishment have been so quiet and no where to be found when the media, RINOs and others attack Gov Palin falsely –

Don’t hold your breath – there are so weak and it makes me ashamed – they are so wrong!!!!

  • John_Frank

Romney missed a glorious opportunity to unite conservatives behind his campaign.

When the President cracked his disgusting joke about Sarah Palin, the Romney campaign should have responded by calling the President a “sexist dog eater.”

The campaign could have gone on to make the point that if someone had made that joke about Michelle Obama, people would have been appalled, but because it was about Sarah Palin people laugh. Tilt.

Finally the campaign could have pointed out that the appalling tone of the President’s “joke” underscores that the President’s attitude towards women is no better than crude sexism that oozes out of the mouth of Bill Maher.

But, no Romney thinks Obama is a nice guy. Right.

So, what do we get. Earlier this evening we had O’Reilly calling the President a Patriot for his joke about Sarah Palin. Please that is no coincidence.

Double face palm fail on the part of Romney and O’Reilly.

    • GetWhatYouPayFor

Romney and O’Reilly? Good point. Neither will ever get over Sarah Palin not falling in line behind them, any more than the GOP establishment will. Beating Obama is secondary to stopping Sarah and the Tea Party. Wait till the cabal starts slobbering over the one term Governor of NJ. He is the likely VP choice, simply to prop up an antidote to Gov. Palin in the future. The future of the Grand Old Party is at stake. They stand opposed to “we the people” but do not want the people to realize that fact.

  • carmtom13

The republican conservative men have no stones. They view Governor Palin as a threat because she is one of the most political savvy people to come along in many years and is not 4 sale.

  • M_Minnesota

Levin “When is the day going to come when we men stand up for our women, the conservatives?”

Mr Levin we need a Spiritual Revival in this country. Conservative men (politicos) generally do not care about the image of God. “Male and Female he made them.” They only care about thier own image.

    Palin/West 2012!!!

  • PVG

    Preach it sister!

  • NCHokie02

John Wayne died is what happened. Boys today don’t have strong role models in the media to look at. Everyone who is “cool” in the media, is a metro-sexual and more worried about their hair and fake tan, and thats just the men. The effeminate male is a popular male while the stronger MAN is looked down upon. There are some women out there who still like a real man but the media is trying to kill that image off. Just look at commercials and sitcoms where the dad is always the goofy happy go lucky guy and mom is the responsible “I’ll take care of it Dad, haha silly” type of person.

    • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

Well said NCHokie. I agree completely. Not only John Wayne, but chivalry as well. But women have been so indoctrinated in the fact that they are as able as men, they’ve helped in shaping our world of impolite sexually confused people. I know most feminazi’s would hate my guts, because I still prefer a guy who doesn’t wax his chest, doesn’t wear make up and one that does open the door for me, one who offers me his seat etc. My husband still does that, and I imagine most of you guys on Scoop still do that.

Thank God there are still real men, but I think they’re all here at Scoop. ;-)

  • c4pfan

So called conservative men have said worse about Sarah!

  • Magdalene51

Breitbart had a name for them, for the ones who won’t stand up for Sarah Palin (in particular) and other conservative women. He called them eunuchs.

  • Sober_Thinking

Shame on this clown. He’s beyond being on thin ice… he broke through about 4 years ago. And Code Pink and the NWO and other feminist groups keep supporting him. Hypocrites. Open season on conservative women I guess.
