Mark Sanford was accosted by MSNBC’s Chris Hayes on how it could possibly be that blacks and whites can get along when there’s a confederate flag still waiving around! It’s like science, man, it just can’t happen!

As a person of color, I can understand why some might be offended by the confederate flag, but I think they have to also understand that not every Southerner who waves it or displays it is a rampaging racist. The flag can be a symbol of hatred to some and a completely different symbol to someone else. Even worse, liberals are pretending that law enforcement is like playing “capture the flag.” You won’t “win” and protect everyone if you force them all to take down a flag. But I guess people who believe an inanimate object like a gun kills people can also believe a flag is an accomplice to a mass murder.
