First lady Melania Trump has come out to let Kathy Griffin know what she thinks about her gross decapitation photo.
Here’s her short statement:
“As a mother, a wife, and a human being, that photo is very disturbing. When you consider some of the atrocities happening in the world today, a photo opportunity like this is simply wrong and makes you wonder about the mental health of the person who did it.”
Griffin is really taking it in the chin now – CNN fired her as the host for the New Year’s bash, and she’s lost other gigs as well. And for those of us who find her so annoying and grating, this is not the worst news.
Of course even Trump got in on the action earlier:
Kathy Griffin should be ashamed of herself. My children, especially my 11 year old son, Barron, are having a hard time with this. Sick!

Apparently Barron was disturbed by the photo.
I think it’s a little goofy to accuse her of being an ISIS member, clearly, but she obviously thought that she could out-shock other Trump haters, and it came back to bite her in the derriere. Even so, the more crazed Trump supporters are claiming that no one on the left cares about her insult, when she’s taking enormous criticism and blowback over it.
