Mia Love was on Fox and Friends this morning in the wake of the announcement that House Democrat Jim Mattheson is retiring. She lost to him in 2012. And she’s definitely going to be running again to try and win that seat.

When asked about the budget agreement, she said she probably would have voted for it but emphasized that it doesn’t nearly go far enough and we need to make bigger strides considering the debt and deficits we have.

No more donations from me Mia, will remove myself from your e-mail list if this is true. She will be rolled in 30 seconds in Congress if this is not taken out of context.

    • Laurel

So I’m not hearing things then. Someone else sees what I see.

      • Patriot077

I’ve actually heard her say other things that raised my eyebrow. I also sent her money last time around but haven’t felt she really gets true conservatism since the convention. I’m going to need to see more before I pony up more for her.

        • Laurel

Old school politics is the rule that you make strides in baby steps or increments. She is part of that thinking.

I think the time for that thinking is over. and really Progressive Obama has proven that. Notice he has done nothing in small increments and taken great big progressive strides?! In life for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. We need an equal and opposite conservative reaction to undo some of the damage. as far as foreign policy goes I don’t think we will ever undo all of it.

          • Patriot077

I agree. It’s going to take strong people with conviction who can view the full picture. Nibbling at the edges will fix nothing.

  • Laurel

A little squishy. We are looking for people who won’t go along to get along.

Learn to say ‘No!”. I sent you money last time and helped to promote you. Based on this I will think twice now.

And Mattheson won due to cheating.

    • Press Watchusa

      Squishy is the right description

I hope she didn’t realize how bad this budget is

If she did know the details – She is in fact a RINO

Funny how this year has exposed the RINOs

  • Willem Boom

Either she is checked out or a complete squish… She needs to explain this….

  • http://www.scifihistory.net/ E. Lee Zimmerman

Another bloated ‘newcomer’ proving she doesn’t live up to her reputation!

    • Longiron

Does one think she will become more conservative if elected ??? The RINO/GOP has her in their pocket now that she has no competition. Watch the $ flow in from the RBC. Thanks TP it been nice knowing you.

  • misterlogic0013

Phony .. doesn’t have my vote, don’t waste my time. Fox ? Rinotown.

    • Longiron

      Rino in the making !!!!!!

      • misterlogic0013

I contribute to Sarah, tried and true .. fine wine .. tested, accomplished, continues to pick winners, a winner, loves Liberty, America. Sarah endorses, I support. Merry Christmas.

  • M_J_S

Come on! We had such high hopes for you!

  • EchoMike

I’d rather have her than a Dem, but I am skeptical to hear this.
We need people to fight Mia, don’t be afraid

  • timsrighty

If this were “The Gong Show” Mia would be gone in 3 seconds.

  • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkgA2rUAY-o Booker

    Ohhh, that’s unfortunate.
“Probably” is the key word though.

  • http://PolitiBrew.com Rshill7

Not sure why she said that, but here’s an example of what the GOPe is doing out there. Representative Justin Amash (R-Michigan) has the most conservative record in all of Congress. He is rated at 100%. The GOPe is actively supporting his primary challenger.

Yesterday he had what they call a “money bomb” fund raising thing seeking grassroots donations. Money from regular folks poured in from all over the country. Over 100K in a little over 24 hours. The site crashed early on so they extended it for another 24 hours.

Saw Mia say this about the budget earlier. I was surprised by it. So I would like to respond in Americanized Italian if I may:

Momma Mia, poppa pia, don’t throw out the party tea-ya. If you drinka the RINO-aide, your hopes for House will likely fade. Shifta da gears and get it right, correct this aired mistake tonight.

    • Press Watchusa

      BRAVO !

      BRAVO !

      • http://PolitiBrew.com Rshill7

        :-)

    • misterlogic0013

to late for her guy, love the song though .. good going.

  • Emmel Jones

I’m glad she has revealed her RINO self now so I don’t donate money to any of her campaigns in the future. The budget cuts military retirement benefits, including disabled veterans. Instead of supporting our vets, they allowed benefits for illegals, which is too outrageous for words. Does she even know what the budget is exactly? She doesn’t seem to.

  • New Dixie Nation

There you have it. She’s not conservative. The only reason she gets so much media attention is because she’s a black woman in GOP.

    • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkgA2rUAY-o Booker

Well, that and the fact that she has 10 years of executive experience keeping taxes low in the beautiful city of Saratoga Springs in spite of a population explosion.

But uh, for some folks, losing seems to be a better proposition. Reagan was an 80/20 guy. It seems some folks have forgotten about that. She seems to be more of a libertarian though. And I don’t have the slightest problem with it.

      • timsrighty

If only MIa could articulate as well as you.

        • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkgA2rUAY-o Booker

Yeah, she really messed up here. I hope she chooses her words better next time.

      • trytothink

I agree. Lots of purists in these parts who throw every candidate under the bus who doesn’t say all the magic words the exactly correct way.

I’m more worried about getting the numbers up of elected officials who are pushing in generally the right direction. They don’t have to push in exactly the same direction. More than anything they need to do what they pledge to do on the campaign trail.

And you’re right. Reagan made mistakes. Reagan signed in a round of amnesty. Reagan compromised when he needed to. I doubt that Reagan would have been supported by the purists.

        • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkgA2rUAY-o Booker

That’s why I’m less concerned about what politicians of today say and more concerned about what they do — that is verifiable. That’s more concrete to me.

Jeff Flake said all the right things a couple of months ago and now what? Just look at him!

        • palintologist

So “pushing in the right direction” is screwing over disabled vets in favor of illegals? I don’t think Reagan would’ve touched that with a 10-ft-pole. “Purity” isn’t the issue. Gratitude for those who put their lives on the line is.

          • trytothink

Reagan signed the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, which gave amnesty to 3 million illegals.

That cost millions of Americans their jobs and opened the door with a precedent.

        • ApplePie101

I’m a purist and proud of it. If the numbers of ‘purists’ are growing, it’s a reality that the republican party has yet to grasp.

          • trytothink

The number of purists will never be enough to gain enough votes in Congress to pass policy. When Ted Cruz or Mike Lee finally makes a tactical vote to advance one political agenda item at the expense of another, are you withdrawing your support from them too? Then you’ll be down to zero Senators who represent your interests.

Look, the answer to Boehner and McCain squishy Republicanism isn’t “one true answer for every political question” purity. It’s being smart about what we do compromise on so that we make political progress.

    • deTocqueville1

      Afraid you are correct.

    • Amjean

      Bingo!

    • Galatiansch2vs20

It seems she is not a fiscal conservative thinking she’d be for the bad budget deal.

I just was reading what the confederate flag meant- they wanted to be crossed out of the union of the states.
Can you explain to me your choice of icon and user name?

  • http://cfp4us.org/ AmericanDuckie

Sorry Mia, This budget screws our Veterans even more than usual. This does nothing but put another half a$$ed band aid on something that will never heal until tax and spend self proclaimed princes and princesses are replaced with people who are willing to actually slash waste and create an actual budget that will hold our representatives to responsible spending limits.
This is crap and does nothing. Fear on the part of rinos because they don’t like to be called names is all it is.

    • Patriot077

And if I heard Mark correctly, didn’t Jeff Sessions say that they stuck language in the budget to make it easier to raise taxes by requiring only a simple majority? That to me is as repulsive and sneaky as screwing over our veterans. If Mia is aware of either of those two things and “would probably vote for” it then I’ve got an issue with her.

      • http://cfp4us.org/ AmericanDuckie

It does make one think. Obviously it didn’t make too many others who ‘would probably’ vote for it think much. sigh.

        • Patriot077

The budget bill was another 1000+ page monstrosity as well. There oughtta be a law against that crap.

          • http://cfp4us.org/ AmericanDuckie

I agree. I made and posted this on our fb page yesterday…

            • Patriot077

Perfect. Gosh, maybe we should send a link to cfp4s to Mia. THIS is what she should be thinking about if she wants to fix the hotmess in DC.

  • lawngren

    Another one falls.

  • EchoMike

I’ll say this as well, and someone else already mentioned it… but she may not be very versed on what this budget actually does, maybe she does, but I don’t want to throw her under the buss just yet.
It seems weird to chastise someone for a mythical vote they never took, on a bill they had nothing to do with.
But she does need to be informed that there is skepticism about her now, and she needs to remain tough

    • Marky_D

      Was thinking exactly the same!

    • Patriot077

It isn’t just this comment about the budget that has me concerned. I’ve had my antenna up since the convention. It bears watching at this point, though I’m not throwing her overboard or under the bus.
I would want to hear her tell us just what she believes the role of the federal government is.

  • deTocqueville1

Mia was a Romney supporter from day one.

  • Chester Simms

    Why, Mia?

    • Guest

      She’s the latest fad.

  • AlecJ

I will warn all of you, who, like me, were excited about Mia Love. She has either been lying to us, or been co-opted by the consultant class. She has walked away from true conservative values in the last year.

She has sounded like an establishment lackey and she isnt even in office.

I actually sent her a contribution last election but she was a totally different candidate.

To be honest, i have to believe she was promised help from the GOP and has been bought off. Now that some back room deal got her opponent to retire, she is all in with the John Boehner wing of the GOP.

Just know, you will be disappointed if place any hope in Mia Love being a leader. She is a RINO is waiting. Once she is elected its all over.

  • Wigglesworth

If there is no RINO challenging her in the primary then she probably is the RINO.

  • timsrighty

Maybe Mia Love should have been raised in Alaska instead of Utah..

  • Sentinel

Huh? Mia? What’s going on with you?

    • phil

      its norquist at work,

i dont think we should nominate her just because she will be the 1st black gop woman in congress,
if she is a sellout, then let her stay in UT

      • New Dixie Nation

Amen! That’s exactly what I was thinking.

      • keyesforpres

        Norquist…the stealth jihadist….

      • Sentinel

Good point! We can’t afford to have another Jeff Flake, Scott Brown, John McLame, etc. in the Republican party. If she’s a liar like these other guys, then she has no business being in Washington. We have to thoroughly vet these candidates and pick the genuine, cream of the crop conservatives. No more phonies! No more RINOs or liberal Republicans! America will never survive if we don’t inject TRUE conservatives into the party while we purge the corrupt GOPe.

        • phil

the main problem is, that any Tea Party running for election has a great disadvantage to the Norquist proxies, since the later controls a huge portion of the money flow in the GOP, which a lot of times the Grass Roots aren’t strong enough to overcome as evident by a recent prime (i think it was in OK) where the conservative spent like around 86K and the cronies backed candidate spent like 600K,

          i

          • Sentinel

I totally agree. So corrupt and sickening. We’ll just have to work extra hard this time around – and communicate the truths better.

    • palintologist

She must have hired a “consultant.”

      • Sentinel

        Clever… you might be right.

  • Edward La Guardia

I’m glad she said this because from everything I’ve read and heard this deal was the right move…it staves off another shutdown keeping the focus on ObamaCare and actually makes the Republicans look good in order to help win back the Senate and make Obama completely helpless in his last two years.

Those of you who come on this site (mostly far right) need to understand that it is impossible for a politician to agree with you on every…..single…..flippin…..issue. The millisecond a politician says one thing you don’t like you turn on them (Paul supporting McConnell for re-election, Rubio trying to enact immigration reform, etc.). It’s ridiculous…you can’t only back two politicians in all of Washington (Cruz and Lee) and think you’re ever going to make any difference or turn this country around…it’s impossible and I fear many of you just don’t get that.

In other words: it’s one thing to attack people like McCain and Graham who consistently try to suck up to the Dems…it’s quite another thing to turn against people like Love, Paul, Ryan, Rubio, etc. who may have a few disagreements with you.

Finally, I don’t think for one minute that any of this is going to get through…I hate it, but I feel that stubbornness is a common trait on here.

    • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkgA2rUAY-o Booker

      Reagan once said:

“It’s been said that politics is the second oldest profession. I have learned that it bears a striking resemblance to the first.”

Anybody that thinks that they won’t be disappointed by the current players on the scene, doesn’t really understand politics. The question is how do we the citizens get the most out of the game?

    • keyesforpres

RUBE-io LIED to get elected. He was totally pro illegals in the Florida legislature and his Gang of 8 bill is NO reform. It’s amnesty. Why can’t ppl like you call it what it is…if it’s so great? AMNESTY.
The Gang of 8 bill would end the United States. Illegals would be hired over Americans because companies would not have to abide by ObamaNOcare for illegals.
RUBE-io has put his ethnicity ahead of being an American. He is a (re)Conquistador. He supports the destruction of the US because most illegals have Spanish surnames….like him.
Ryan also supports the destruction of the United States with his stance on mass amnesty. It will destroy this country. What they are both doing is treasonous.
Same with Rand Paul He supports amnesty. True, he voted “no” on the Gang of 8 bill but only AFTER he vote ‘yes’ on cloture, which brought it to the floor. He simply voted ‘no’ because he knew it would pass. He has even said he supports amnesty (although he does not have the balls to call it amnesty) and has said he hopes they (illegal alien invaders) would vote for him.
If you support any of that…you are NO conservative.

      • palintologist

Excellent response. We are in a WAR for the soul of this country, and too many on our side are so desperate for someone who appears to be a leader that they don’t want to face the fact that some of them go off the rails and need to be taken off our radar.

        • deTocqueville1

          Exactly!

    • bluerose75

That is why losers like you are meant to be LED and are Drones….Bend over Eddie and serve your Establishment Masters like a Good Loser. Ryan and Rubio two PUNKS that serve their Masters like good little girls and then stick it to the country when it counts. Cut the crap about a few disagreements jerk. This is about the US Constitution and the mess that people like you and your GET ALONG AND COMPROMISE CRAP have gotten us into. You fool no one….you are another Moderate Midget with no backbone and no clue. Attack…no clown we SHED LIGHT on the cheap frauds like that Irish Punk Ryan and that Backstabbing Rubio for what they are!

Take your little Master Bend Over Philosophy and join the Commie Consultants on K Street in DC. Cruz is a MAN you sir are a nobody and a follower. Crux already is the most feared man in DC and look how ALL HE SAID about Obamascare was true and look at those that laughed at him….SEE OBAMA’S POPULARITY and DEMS and no one mentions any GOPer except Cruz and Lee not your backbenching nothing of an Establisment Scum!

  • http://www.theconservativevoices.com/ dmacleo

I’d hesitate to read too much into her comment, shes only gotten the same info we have. she has decent enough record, and if she was elected she would do what her constituents want not what we want.
watch, listen, verify. never trust any politician for anything and you’ll not get disappointed.

    • bluerose75

Sorry she opened her mouth and she said what she said. NO SHE IS A RINO and a FRAUD….she will be no different and she basically said I AM HERE TO SERVE send me money….good little DRONETTE in waiting. She is not impressive nor will she be any different than the rest of the nobodies in DC that leech off the people and praise the DC Gods…..NO LOVE FOR LOSER!

      • http://www.theconservativevoices.com/ dmacleo

        whatever.
look at her record, its verifiable.

  • Jose

You know the RNC and Beltway GOP has already gotten their hooks into MIa Love. They want to use her as an aesthetic prop.

They will co-opt her the moment she gets to DC.

I say this as someone who admires Mia Love. But this position on the budget is extremely disappointing.

    • Dr. Strangelove

      “Asthetic prop”, heh heh. .

  • marketcomp

Now this is scary. How does she know that she would vote for it without reading and reviewing it first? No! Not another establishment republican!

  • http://black-avenger-1.livejournal.com/profile VirusX

Go back to Haiti, bi**h. We’ve got enough fake Conservatives in Washington DC, hurting active duty personnel, and literally adding insult to Veterans’ injury.

    • skyemantaray

Disagree with her all you want, but let’s leave the profanity and name calling to those who do it best – the vile and intolerant left. She’s still a mother, a wife, and a Christian woman and this site is better than the label you have given her.

      • http://black-avenger-1.livejournal.com/profile VirusX

You can stand up for people that oppress those that actually stood up for this country and were MAIMED, then stand on your soapbox, beat your chest and bray about how great a guy you are, but I couldn’t care less. Maybe when you think about the gruesome, painful sacrifices of people better than yourself and that Haitian you love so much, you can ponder the fact that many of those permanently debilitating battlefield injuries were INFLICTED on mothers. And sons. And daughters. And brothers.

But I’m sure you and your buddy the Haitian will be comforted by illegal aliens getting their well deserved food stamps and welfare checks.

  • palintologist

In a Blaze interview a couple months ago, Mia distanced herself from the TEA Party and didn’t mention them or their principles. I believe she got herself an establishment consultant.
    *sigh*
Lost another one. But the good news is we found out she’s not rock solid BEFORE she was elected.

  • dazle1

Well, since Mia Love said this , she is just as big an idiot as the Rino’s who passed it. A C.R. would have been better than this, as this raises taxes and the national debt more and cuts disabled vets pensions! Why cant we find more smart repubs to vote for!!!!

  • bluerose75

She is another RINO in the making. Another Orin Hatch from UTAH…please do better than this moron. I love the GEE I would have done what I WAS TOLD TO DO….UTAH can you not see already this BUTT KISSER for the Establishment. Sorry MAMA MIA you are another loser hack waiting to backstab Conservatives and follow and toe the line. DRONE CENTRAL and this clown will serve the country no better than a DEM. Sorry her service does not change her words….DRONE IN WAITING….

  • Poptoy1949

UGH ! Another GOP establishment Congressman that we do not need.

  • spin43

Turning RINO before she gets to the District of Corruption. We need a strong conservative third party!

  • Dr. Strangelove

“I respect his decision…” looks like she can barely contain her glee.

  • ApplePie101

So much for this conservative hero. She didn’t last long. On the plus side, we’re getting better and faster at detecting rinos, before they get into office.

  • ryanomaniac

Too many people here and elsewhere made her a hero so soon. Seems us Conservatives are so desperate at times and crown people before we actually get into the weeds of who they really are. I trust none of them until I see actions. Like Ted Cruz. He showed us. She has been nothing but talk…we’ve never seen her in the foxhole yet.

    • MontyRay

I think the biggest divide here between Cruz and people like Mia Love is their resum√©. That may be a little blunt, but the mix between Ted’s upbringing, intellect, faith, and education make him tower above many of the other Tea Party grassroots players. He not only believes and adheres to the conservative principles, he knows the other side intimately and has studied the histories. He also has a working legal background that has trained him in litigating and selling his point.

Progressives know this. This is why he scares the heck out of them. He has all the credentials they taut for their heroes, but he doesn’t by into their B.S. and lies.

  • NHConservative777

Really, Mia? You have no problem with cutting pensions for veterans some of which got that way in combat? If so, who needs you ? We have enough fools like that in Congress!
