Morning Joe: Americans want big change from Obama in second term but that’s not what he’s promising them

Something striking from an NBC/WSJ poll that came out today is that if Obama is reelected, a majority of voters want major change from Obama. The problem, as Mark Halperin points out, is that ‘major change’ is not what Obama is promising for a second term:

The only way this country sees any major change is if we vote Romney in November. That’s it. Anyone who believes otherwise is deluding themselves and isn’t really paying attention.

People want leopards to change their spots too……it ain’t gonna happen with leopards or obama!!!!!!

  • proudhispanicconservative

We should all be concerned that this election is rigged after reading this on the dailycaller, and we should all be very vigilant and be ready for the worst.

    • Sober_Thinking

You hit the nail on the head. I’m worried to death about the flagrant voter fraud and how the Justice Department (Holder) has done everything to continue with and support voter fraud. This is a VERY troubling concern.

God is in control. Pray that His will is done.

      • proudhispanicconservative

I join you in a prayer and leave it to God he is in control.

        • pajamakat

Yes. I am also joining in prayer. I am in my late 50’s. I have never been this nervous about an election before. People in Ohio and other battleground states – please. We are depending on you. Don’t give O another 4. We will all pay the price – including you. How I fear for my beautiful country.

from your lips to dupes at Ohio University

          • proudhispanicconservative

The level in anxiety in this country has never been so high, just for an election. Thank you Obama

        • badbadlibs

He will have the last say, that is a fact. I just hope and pray He will have mercy on America and forgive America for electing this baby killing monster and turning her back on Him in the first place.

          • I would like to think He would. Remember the story of Sodom? If some good people could be found, it would be spared. I think there are LOTS of good people to be found here and we will be spared His wrath. Please God.

    • poljunkie

I agree. They updated the article to say the station said it was a test.
Well if thats the case, why not make both candidates have 50%?

      • A test alright… A test of subliminal propaganda. You’re dead on, it should read 50% each. Blatent propaganda disguised as a test. I emailed them.

        • poljunkie

Great! I dont know if you saw , but I read it happened at another station too.

          • Ah-ha! That’s some “test.” What are they testing? People’s stupidity or gullibility? It that’s not a propaganda piece in disguise then I’m a Martian! Nanu-Nanu!

        • badbadlibs

The person who did this test should be fired on the spot and his/her name published so he/she or they will never work in the media again.
IF they did that, then I would rest a little easier.

    • bobemakk

That is so true, and the first election of Obama was rigged as well.

  • Rshill7

With a thousand Obama promises and a $5 dollar bill you can get a Philly Swiss. Chips are extra.

  • kong1967

Those questions are misleading and evasive. You can’t get to the truth of what the resulting poll numbers mean. They want major changes for what? It depends on who you ask. My “change” will be a whole lot different than the radical change liberals want. Were those all Democrat people that were polled or was it the general population? Even if that poll was taken from liberals only, they will still vote for Obama even if he offers them no change.

  • deeme

If you want major change vote for Romney /Ryan !!!

  • 4Hoppes2

    What TRS said!!!

  • Rshill7

A big change in his address would be fine with me. For that matter, a big change in Romney’s address would be cool too.

    • las1

Man that was good! Can I steal it? [edit] you don’t have to ask if you want to steal… so… can I borrow it?

and P.S. Just what is all this bs about “change”. Obama promised change the first time around. And boy did we get it! One would have to be a total loser (Democrats of course) to want a second round of change after the first round. But that’s just me… a severely conservative… so my opinion don’t count for nuttin’.

      • Rshill7

  • If you want change, then change the record! Tired of listening to the same old whiney excuse making Marxist pResident? Vote Romney!

  • hbnolikeee

Not possible to change direction in less than three weeks. However a good used car salesman could convince the mark otherwise…

  • Why do they keep talking about Polls all the time anyway? Who cares what the Polish think about this election! How about asking some Americans what they think! 🙂

    • badbadlibs

      Ha-Ha! 🙂

      • Hi badbadlibs! Good to see you back posting regularly again! 🙂

        • badbadlibs

Thanks my friend! I’ve had a little more free time lately and the closer TDOIO day approaches I seek the comfort and steady thoughts of people who love God, this great country and the very idea of liberty! 🙂

P/S: TDOIO: The day obama is ousted!

  • Sober_Thinking

ROFL! Those lemmings and leftist loons are STILL waiting for “Hope and Change”.

Obama is incompetent, impotent, arrogant, and a pathelogical liar. He has no record to run on, no plan for the future, and no Presidential skills to peddle. The fact that the moochers, lemmings, ignorant dumbmasses still support this certifiable loser is simply stunning.

  • I really don’t know what Obama is “promising” for a second term. That alone should make people NOT vote for him. Do you really want more of the last four years? I doubt it.

    • Remember Pelosi and her “you’ll have to pass it to find out what’s in it” regarding NObamacare? See how well that worked out? I hope people aren’t fooled with the “you’ll have to vote for NObama to see what he’s gonna do” garbage.

  • sjmom

Obama can’t change; he is who he is, a Marxist who was raised by Leftists who introduced him to Communists at a young age. The Bible tells us “train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). Children, for the most part, become what they learn. So did Obama and he has not departed from it. What we have seen is who he is and anyone who does not like it must vote for Romney.

  • Shery Hancock

People totally are not listening to Obama. He gives himself away all the time in his Marxist ideology, but few seem to either understand it, or think that he’ll (after being re-elected) do what the public wants. Obama made it perfectly clear in 2008 that the American economy needed to be destroyed in order to craft a more fair/equal economy after it. That, along with distancing us from the founders’ religion and ideology, is his idea of a fundamental change in America, and to totally disengage it from the US Constitution, which he calls a racist, fatally flawed, document. He said in 2008, and Michelle repeated it several times, to whoops of joy and fainting, that we were going to serve THEM. (I presume to give us notice that they were going to live as royalty at our expense.) I realize that people were caught up in the moment, and the thought of electing a black man as president. I can accept that for the first time around. Several of my own friends, who are otherwise sane people, voted for him. But as the saying goes, “Fool me once…! You’d think this would show to be a landslide a LONG time ago, and maybe it will turn out to be so. However, that so many people are still vacillating? That speaks volumes as to the current ills of our society and it is unsettling, to say the least. I pray that God has mercy on America until we can effectively change the educational system, the moral laws of our country back to the founders’ vision. The founders understood cultural differences exist, but safeguarded everybody’s rights, not the rights of the profane and exclude the rights of the righteous.

  • jgilman1

I hope he proposes major changes. If he does he will lose his base. “don’t doubt me folks”

  • James1754

If people want major changes in Obama, they better vote for someone else.

  • poljunkie

For those who were angry/upset over the visual that was displayed on the TV station in Arizona last friday showing an Obama win

I live in Arizona, and just called the station. The person on the phone said she has been getting calls this 8am this morning, and she had 12 calls on hold.

The graphic was “packaged” by AP as a test. Which made me even more angry.

Here is the stations info Call 602-650-0711 602.264.1000 [email protected]

    She didn’t have AP’s number.

I told her if it was a test, it should have had each candidate at 50%. Wow does that show The AP’s bias.

    • proudhispanicconservative

Thank you for posting I hope everyone here does the same, please, please, please, please, everyone here please call and let them know how you feel, and if someone can send that info to fox so that they can report it.

      • poljunkie

I just saw that it happened at another station- so the AP package thing- I guess it went out? I think it is especially annoying that it was an Associated Press release.

      • I didn’t call, but I did email them a letter questioning the logic and reason for putting out this “test” with results as they were displayed instead of, as poljunkie stated so well, a 50/50% split poll. If they had done that, this would never even have been an issue.

    • Nukeman60

Actually, the test was probably correct. It had 43% going to Obama and 40% going to Romney. They questioned where the other 17% went. It went to the other candidate, Mitt Romney. They just didn’t want people to know it was the same Romney.

      Landslide. 🙂

  • Nukeman60

I’m having a massive disconnect here with this poll. If 62% of people want massive change, then why would they even think about voting for Obama? What is it about this man that they can’t let go of? They made a mistake in electing him, so they should be intelligent enough to admit it and say, “We screwed up. Let’s fire the guy”. It’s as simple as that.

    Isn’t it?

    • leftists try to influence our thinking, and their moves are not well thought out….they lie and make lies to cover those lies, and so on , ad nauseam….
If 62% want a major change, it means 62% will NOT vote for FuBar Ack…
Romney will win 40 states, or 30 with DNC cheating
      Almost Reaganesque LANDSLIDE!!!

  • the difference between our political thinking between the informed and the ill-informed is night and day. See, when I read that poll, my first thought was a “socialist” change, a “fundametal transformation” change if you will, so I say, HELL NOW! But as someone who doesn’t pay attention to the politics around him/her, their change is always for the better. I guess my point I’m trying to make is, knowing how the media likes to spin these polls and the fact that it’s coming from NBC, how did they word this as? Change as in a positive change, or change as in more government and bow-down foreign policies (ya know, the direction we are currently headed in now) It could be NBC showing us “proof” that people want that socialistic change.

Am I being paranoid? I think not!

    • Nope not paranoid, just smart!

  • giomerica

On the contrary… If BO gets re-elected, I think there WILL be major change. He’ll drop the pretense and charge harder left.

  • about 2/3 of Americans do not like the direction we are going….—-> toward Cuba, Venezuela, N. Korea’s economies….
    Got that, bro?

  • tshtsh

If it is 62% of his drones, then they want him to move further to the left.

  • Listening to Bammy’s empty Marxist speeches the last 4 years….Ear-Bleeding
Watching Bammy, Pelosi, & Reid smile over ObamaCare….Treasonous
Hearing Govt Dole recipients chant “4 more years of welfare!”…Heart-Wrenching

Watching the facial ticks of Mia Schezinnskyiii as lousy polls of her messiah are read…Priceless!!!

For everything else, there’s Constitutional Conservatives!!!

  • hongryhawg

Some people just won’t stop hoping, even with 4 years of hope staring them in the face.

  • bobemakk

“Hope and change,” that was Obamas mottto. The only change I see is the change left in my pocket when I shop or go to the gas station. The only hope I see is Romney being elected.
