This is Tuesday’s open thread on what people actually know about the fiscal cliff:

    Obama voters

  • Philo Beddoe

obviously none of the interviewee’s were RightScoop members

    • Arrrggghhh

Don’t be so harsh on them. We just happen to know about different things than they do. I guarantee they could give us a schooling on the Kardashians, DWTS and Honey Boo Boo.

      • Philo Beddoe

        I was just hoping for a RightScoop T shirt+:-)

        • Scoop’s got t- shirts?! COOL! 😉

          • Arrrggghhh

Obama sent him a box of them to give out to us. They come with a GPS tracking device attached to them and a big bullseye on the back.

  • Howzah123

Baraaack O’Claus is comin to town! Baraaack O’Calus is comin to town!

    • Arrrggghhh

      O! You better watch out!

  • His last comment says it all.You go forward

    • colliemum

      Yep, I loved that!

  • bongobear

For lack of better place to mention this: John Kerry is being considered for SecDef. Of all the possible candidates why would Obama pick this sorry person? I doubt you could find a person more disliked by the military than this clown.

    • Precisely. Do as much damage to our miltary as the marxists possibly can. Bottom up, top down. Evil ba$tard.

      God Help our troops.

      • bongobear

        Couldn’t agree more.

      • keats5

One of our troops is my Marine son. God help them indeed.

        • Thank ou keats5. I can’t imagine how hard this is on our military families. My cousin and a dear friend are over there too. (((()))s to you.

    • colliemum

Do you really think Obama could give a flying f*** about what the military thinks?
He’s probably already reckoning with the savings he’ll make when more and more will leave the Service.

      • bongobear

I know you’re right but it still upsets me.

        • colliemum

It upsets me, too, and makes me hopping mad as well.

      • Orangeone

Here’s a tweet from Laura Ingrahm on the new General:

ALLEN WRENCH: Remember when Gen. John Allen apologized to “the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan” for “improper disposal” of Korans?

Now I’m just waiting for the 11/14 press conference where Barky Boy issues the Executive Order on Islam comments punishable by death.

    • Orangeone

I’m okay with this as long as we send him to the front battle lines unarmed and unprotected to demonstrate the new Rules of Engagement.

      • DCGere

As for ROE, our guys are not to carry live ammo on post while in the sandbox. Course that rule is followed “wink”. Better to get your happy butt yelled at for breaking that rule than be dead. Can you think of anything more stupid as to not being able to carry live ammo while in a combat zone?

        • Orangeone

What’s next, lean forward?  Give your weapon to the radical islamist that wants to kill you?  Barky Boy already promised Morsi that foreign policy will change by year’s end.

        • warpmine

Then again, perhaps they will be required to carry cans of pink spray bombs to paint the country side pink. This is the new way to wipe out the Islamo-fascist aggression by providing warm soothing colors.

      • warpmine

At least give him Kerry’s favorite weapon of choice, a large bore straw and paper wadding.

    • Rshill7

Cindy Sheehan and Bawny Fwank working as a team?

How ’bout a velvet painting of Elvis?

I just read that The Georgia GOP wants Allen West to return to his native Georgia and run.

      Dear GOP:

%$# @ $#@…and the horse you rode in on.

    • Precisely!

    • lavender79

      that’s ass-clown, man

    • tinlizzieowner

You got that right brother, we Nam Vets ain’t ‘Fonda’ Hanoi John.

  • What do I know about the fiscal cliff?!/photo.php?fbid=367108953377152&set=a.123759571045426.32875.123753431046040&type=1&theater

They voted for it. Enjoy the view on your way down. A lot of us have been at the bottom for 4 years already.

    • keats5

That’s what I was thinking. It’s gonna hurt them more than it will hurt most of us. Ironically, now Obama will be in power when this happens. Boy, will they be confused.

  • colliemum

I love these guys, I love their videos, and I applaud the way they show up the low information voters with good humour!

Having said that – what the EFF is wrong with those people? Sorry, but once you’re over that cliff, no amount of wailing and bellyaching will help you. You’re ‘the rich’ as well, you’ll pay. Have fun with four more years of your daaahlink in the WH.

    • Orangeone

But colliemum, Barky Boy will blame George W. Bush for it and his followers will agree.

      • colliemum

Sure he will, and sure they’ll agree.

Here in the UK, the loony left still blames Mrs Thatcher – for everything!
Never mind that she left 10 Downing Street twenty years ago, never mind that we had 13 years of their loony left government, and still haven’t managed to come to grips with the mess they left us – nooooo, it’s all Maggie’s fault, dontcha know.

So Bush blaming will go on and on and on, so what! They’re loonies. That’s all.

        • While I love your comment colliemum, I do have a sensitivity about the word Loony when it’s associated with anything but Toons. Especially when it IS associated with the word left. 😀

          • colliemum

Sorry, ABiC – I’ll edit my post.

            • I was just messing with you colliemum! You don’t have to edit. I’m just being silly, and in a yucky mood. ((()))s

              • colliemum

Being in a yucky mood is totally understandable!
I’m there as well, that’s why I let rip with the l**** without the toons …

Thing is, I am aware how easy it is to use expressions in common use, without thinking that these expressions may be hurtful to others.
So it’s always better to be careful in the choice of words.

                {{{}}} to you too!

    • Thanks, Mum.
      We enjoy making them.

      • colliemum

I hope you can keep on making them!

Praise and hugs to all your crew!

      • I love them too. Thank you so much.

  • Rshill7

Buc, buc, buc, buc…buc, buc, buc. Republicans are a bunch of chickens.

    • Rshill7

Today I may have found out why the Republican Party is not challenging any voter fraud.

In seems that in 1982, in a case between the Republicans versus the Democrats, and by consent agreement, they are not allowed to. (?)

      I read about it here:

And the case itself is here:

And here’s the entire ball of wax including subsequent challenges and rulings:

      • Oy mybear. Do I really want to see this? If it makes my eyes bleed, or makes me say bad words, maybe I ought to just go with the headlines and know that the GOP #*$)& again?

        • pdxlady

AbiCSis…they’re not scary. I read them this morning, and if you haven’t read them yet, I think they will just make you slap the heel of your hand on your forehead (I first wrote forward :D) and say eeecheewawa!!!

          • OK pdxsis. I’ll take your word for it 🙂 I’m watching something right now, but it’s almost done, then I will. Thanks girlie!

            • pdxlady

You must stay up as late as I do. Seems like I can’t get to bed before 2am PST. Once I stayed up until 4am, and the morning shows were on already. I wondered if I should just make a pot of coffee and start the day all over again. But sleep won.

              • lol! It’s been a while since I’ve pulled an “all nighter”. I think the last time was when Hurricane Wilma was coming in. I stayed up and kept going out onto the porch to see how windy it was getting and to catch the weather updates.
But you’re right, I’m a natural night owl 😉 Usually about 2 am EST for me. I have so much on my mind, it takes a long time of quiet to settle it down to where I won’t be laying in bed awake. I’d rather stay up until I crash than toss and turn. 😀 Night girlfriend!

              • OK, I’m still up, and I just read them. I just posted all of them on facebook. Can I let out a string of swear words now? Better not or I’ll have to arrest myself. Thanks pdxsister. 🙂

                • pdxlady

Me too, although it’s only 10:15 here and the night’s still young. 😀

                  I posted this link above:

and I have been tweeting it out to all of the R’s in the House. It is so important that they DO NOT CAVE!!!

We are not going to be liked anyway. No matter what R’s do, we will always be demonized, so we must hold on to our principles while we regroup…and just say NO to raising the debt ceiling…the HOUSE is VERY powerful. THEY HOLD THE PURSE STRINGS; so we need to continue to contact them…all; they just cannot cave in like they always do.

Oh boy, I’m on a roll now! 🙂

                • LOL I’m up too still, but just about to get to bed. I’m about seeing double 😉 I agree. No more compromise! No caving!!! Thanks for this sis. I’m going to post it to facebook, then hit the hay. Have a Blessed evening!!!

                • pdxlady

Thanks AbiCSis. I’m getting bleary eyed too. Tomorrow’s another day. Rest well.

      • Patriot077

They really are the stupid party if they keep renewing this! I would think that they would realize that they have assisted the other side to cheat them audaciously and thoroughly. They have given them a 30 year license to steal our votes. Damn them.

  • Sober_Thinking

All many of them really know is that the Pied Piper (Obama) is playing a lovely diddy and they feel compelled to follow him “Forward” (right over the cliff).

    Stupid, ignorant lemmings.

  • anyonebutbarry2012

fiscal cliff,,,,, war on women… liberal do not even know what end is up, most proved they want free, and they voted in the worse admin not once but twice. sadly we will go down with them, but they need to own this crap they created. people should be waking up 2014 i hope so we can get the senate back with the house. if we lose both, we will never recover, going to be hard either way. sad is what this all is.

  • For about the past year, I have been learning how to cook from scratch and over open flame. I’ve planted my first ever garden to learn how to grow my own food. I’m slowly building a “bugout bag” and stocking up on survival items and first aid. I’s both fun and prudent.

Few people realize how fragile an advanced society like ours really is. I know so many people who have no clue what the world looks like when power and security are intermittent. Just staying alive is a full-time job when the cradle of western civilization is overturned.

    • colliemum

      Well done!

The metro socialists simply don’t have a clue – they can’t even light a fire in a fire place.
If you need advice about frugal living, ask your grannies and great aunts if you have any. They know, they’ve been there, done that – and survived without a fridge, a washing machine, central heating …

      • HAHAHA! thank you for your input, sincerely. You reminded me of something very important that I have not yet thought about. Laundry and soap!

        Good advice, thank you.

        • freenca

GO to a used book seller and ask for an “old Virginia housewives cookbook” that one has tons of practical living methods and instructions; making soap, gardening, making your own stuff, as well as cooking over an open hearth, etc. Hope you can find one.

    • Out of sheer necessity, I am surprised at how much I have had to learn over the past few years- about things to do to survive. I’ve been learning a lot about myself at the same time. I trust in the Lord more than ever, and He strengthens me. These people will have a hard time, as there are no Cliff Notes on self sufficiancy once all you know is nanny state.

      • Patriot077

Hard times do tend to make us stronger and the lessons learned are not forgotten. I am so thankful that I saw back in 2008 (later than most of you, but better than never) what was in store for us if 0 was elected.

Regarding self sufficiency, stories of people crapping in the hallways after Sandy was a perfect illustration of their ability to adapt to adverse circumstances.

        • Well said Patriot! Yes, it was a little before 2008 for us, but better a little later than never. I’m glad you were and are prepared too. Your last sentence is Spot On!!

    • Patriot077

Don’t forget to lay in a supply of salt. No kidding. My Mom grew up in the depression and they lived off their land. No cash for anything at all. One thing she recalled being truly hard to do without was salt.

  • Very nice ending.

“You know how you get to the fiscal cliff?”
    “Go Forward.”

    ….Right over the ledge.

  • WhiteGuy2

Fiscal cliff amounts to the financial collapse of America, come on lets just get it over with. We can rebuild it.

  • DCGere

One should have to take a high school math test to vote. Clueless people.

  • sDee

This really is not so hard to figure out….

“When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic. Sell not liberty to purchase power.” – Benjamin Franklin

    • Patriot077

I loved this one. I even sent this to my sister in law who won’t hear anything about the real news. I wonder if she will figure out which shirt she’s wearing. 🙂

  • The same people who voted for “Hope and Change.” Well, when we do go off the fiscal cliff, they will be left with no hope and only a little loose change in their pockets. Hope they’re happy!

  • sDee

My immediate reaction on hearing that Petraeus resigned was that he had said no to the whitehouse blackmail.

I finally found this video which this guy claims he was told to be the case….

    • pdxlady

Good clip sDee, thanks for searching it out. Those were my thoughts as well. The admin. wanted Petraeus to lie under oath, and being an honorable (?well, he was until that silly married mother collage student got him) man and he would have none of it.

So, he stepped down so he wouldn’t be obligated to them. He took the choice of completely obliterating his reputation, et al…because he knew he was a dead man either way.

I believe they will subpoena him and he will give his testimony. Then I believe he should immediately be safely escorted out and placed in a witness protection plan or leave the country. I believe he and his family should be preparing for this now; getting all of their affairs in order, etc.

Scary dealing with a regime that doesn’t hesitate to take people out, if necessary; i.e. Andrew Breitbart. R.I.P.

  • If this is the greatest country on earth with the amount of stupid people we have…I shudder to think just how many stupid people are in other countries.

  • This could be a good reason..ROFL!

  • warpmine

All irrelevant as none know that the point at which the implosion could have been stopped has been passed 08′. Ann Barnhardt, if your willing to sit and watch for 2.5 hours, will explain the dire circumstances we all will face in a few months.

    • Love her. Thanks warpmine- I’ve put it on favorites to watch later tonight when I have more time.

      • warpmine

You may want to first chug down a couple or some favorite shots ’cause it’s going to hurt between the eyes.

        • I can only imagine. One of the things I like about her is she never candy coats anything, and tells it straight up. Sigh. I’ll watch it sober.

    • Patriot077

Thanks for the link warpmine. I generally keep a pretty good watch on her site but haven’t been there for a couple weeks. I know it’s going to be full of hard hitting facts much of which is what our leaders ought to be sharing with the public.

      • warpmine

If our illustrious leaders explained this, there would be hell to pay especially for letting it happen under their watch including Bawney Fwank who’d be hunted down like a whale in 18th century.

      • pdxlady

Me too, Patriot077. I usually check out her site, but for the last couple of weeks there have just been too many sites to read and too little time.

Then there was that setback we had a week ago.

  • My goodness! How the progressives were successful in dumbing down the American electorate to the point of ignorance being bliss. This is what our government run schools have turned out…mind numb robots and ignoramuses.

  • You should have to take a test to vote bottom line!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • iaintlyin

If I vote multiple times will I have to take the test every time I vote? If so, will you try to trick me and ask different questions at each location? One of the questions better not be asking me if I have ID thats all I can say.

  • iaintlyin

I’d have answered “which fiscal cliff you talking about? The two we passed in the last few months, or the ones that are ahead of us?” What a joke, the fiscal cliff, ha. We’re on a downward spiral that no one wants to put up a roadblock on. The better question is “How much of your earned dollar would you like to be allowed to keep in the year 2015 and beyond? Pick any number between 10% and 85% but your answer can’t be higher than 40%. Have a congressman ask the question and then thank the respondents with a postcard sized picture of 0, Harry Reid and all the Democratic members of the Senate and House or a similar sized picture of Boehner, Kristol and all the Rinos gathered around a bronze statue of Benedict Arnold.

Stop the spending, cut entire programs….. you morons

  • I am really getting tired of this “fiscal cliff” nonsense. We went over the fiscal cliff on August 15, 1971. We defaulted on our obligations. We’ve been falling like Wile E. Coyote ever since. We are due to hit bottom any day now…amazing it has lasted this long.

  • typical Obama voting MORONS…..

  • lavender79

what libtards, but i’m not surprised. like ted nugent said, the dumbing down of american is complete.

  • pdxlady

This, my dear ScoopFriends, is the best and most hopeful news I have read all week. See if you agree. There IS a lot of HOPE for the GOP party.

The End Of The Karl Rove Death Grip Signals A Reagan Renaissance:

Another interesting read…I don’t know if anyone follows the Ulsterman Report, but for the past couple of years he has been posting ‘Insider” reports from a Wall Street Insider, a Democrat White House Insider and a Military Insider. He now has a new Republican Insider, and the first interview posted today:

  • John3_3

    Where is it?!?!?!? Lol!

  • The “fiscal cliff” is a term that Ben Bernanke termed to talk about the spending cuts that Republicans negotiated in last year’s debt deal. Now, for some reason, a lot of Republicans are scared of the spending cuts and are talking about increasing spending above current policy, even though we are already spending too much.
