Earlier today we had a CNN reporter suggesting – in a question – that Trump is attacking the Muslim Mayor of London because he’s racist. Now we have an MSNBC host, Thomas Roberts, suggesting that Trump is actually trying to provoke a domestic terror attack via Twitter, just to prove himself right. It’s like a competition for which network hates Trump more and honestly I’m not sure who is winning.

“One of the tweets from five hours ago was: ‘We must stop being politically correct and get down to the business of security for our people. If we don’t get smart, it will only get worse.’ Again, I also mentioned he went on a Twitter rant about the travel ban and having that re-instituted, you know, saying: ‘We need be smart, vigilant and tough.’ I just want to ask you, you know, the President doesn’t want us to be politically correct, right? So let’s not be PC about this. Is the president trying to provoke a domestic terrorist attack with this Twitter rant, because only to prove himself right?“
There are many things one can say about Trump’s questionable tweets and unhealthy Twitter habit and we’ve said some of them already. But to suggest that he’s trying to provoke a domestic terror attack is beyond outrageous. He’s spent a good part of this year making the case for why we need to protect ourselves against Muslims (and anyone else for that matter) who wish to do us harm. Everyone who isn’t wearing Trump blinders should be able to see that. Whether you agree with his stated policies or not, it’s clear he wants to protect the country. For an MSNBC host to suggest the opposite just shows how deep their hatred is for Trump.
