Phil Robertson’s comments have really brought out the worst over at MSNBC with Georgetown Professor Michael Eric Dyson now claiming that Phil Robertson and Duck Dynasty are part of a white supremacist culture that incubates hatred toward those who are different:
No matter how pointless you think it might be, the Log Cabin Republican is at least arguing for dialogue and isn’t trying to silence the Christian right. But then comes ‘professor’ Dyson in response calling the Christian right a bunch of white supremacists who incubate hatred for people who are different. Clearly he, just as most of the left, does want to silence the Christian right just as A&E did when they fired Phil Robertson which is why they are quick to call us bigots, white supremacists, racists, and all the rest. They want to punish us for disagreeing with them and that’s their only goal in this regard, which is why you see the attacks on Christians who dare to disagree, just like the baker in Colorado.
