MSNBC talking head: Romney birther joke the ‘most despicable bigotry we can imagine’

Romney sure knows how to send these idiots into a frothing hissy fit. I mean seriously, they are so predictable:

Of course we all know he’s probably been labeled a racist by now and MSNBC is gonna run full coverage of this joke all weekend long.

That quote was from me, earlier.

Watch the clip (via Washington Examiner):

I totally laughed when Michael Eric Dyson said “most despicable bigotry we can imagine” and he hadn’t even heard the quote in full context. At least the one guy wants to know the context. Dyson hadn’t even heard the actual quote from Romney and he’s already calling it the “most despicable bigotry we can imagine.” Talk about a “natural reflex action”.

I kinda wonder about the “natural” part of reflex action here. Nah, don’t think that’s natural atall.

    • A case of the pot calling the kettle…well, you know the rest. I don’t want to be accused of being a racist bigot. 😛

      • PJSTX

can we call the kettle rusty?

    • destroyer_of_moonbats

      they grasping for straws.

  • 911Infidel

Yes its bigotry, because nothing says racism like “truth” huh. But Lunch bucket Joe gets a pass. That’s cause “Plugs” is a Dhimrat just like SNAFU the wonder schmuck above.

    • If I thought Romney wasn’t born in the U.S., would I be a bigot as well?

      • 911Infidel

All the isms pronounced by the left are designed to obfuscate and divert from anything approaching the truth. Your question doesn’t even address that. In the words of Bryce Harper “that’s a clown question…bro…”

        • warpmine

None of those isms can defend against gun fire and soon enough, they’ll find out that physics trumps theory.

      • white531

Salvatore, you’re a bigot for even thinking those thoughts. Shame on you.

      • You’d be a hero to the left and a batsh!t crazy loon to the right. 😛

      • steprock

It would mean you hate Mormons

  • What I consider despicable is calling Romney a murderer.

  • MiketheMarine

No, you offensive prick. The most despicable bigotry I can imagine is a black Attorney General of The United States making a comment about protecting “His people” after dismissing an open and shut racial case where a couple of minorities threatened American Citizens at a polling place.

    • Betsey_Ross

      • MiketheMarine

        Thank you.

    • steprock

What about implying that black people can’t get an ID to register to vote?

      • MiketheMarine

Yep, there is so much to be offended by that I actually had trouble figuring out where to start.

        • white531

Actually, I’m not offended anymore. I’m just angry. Angry, that so many misguided Americans could want a Black President so badly, that they would vote for this one. Like having a Black President would solve all our problems. Well, we now have a Black President. Did it solve our problems, or just create even more?

      • toongoon

The soft bigotry of low expectations of black people. All democrats.

        • white531

Not all, toon. Be careful. There is a growing number of black Americans who get it.

          • toongoon

My comment was not a rap on blacks. There are many Black Americans waking up and leaving the plantation. The Democrats are keep them on it by suggesting their too ignorant to do things that everybody else just does out of necessity.

      • I’m offended at something and I don’t know why. I’ll have to get back to you later.

    • XXIIFan

Don’t these nutjobs on the left know that playing the reace card EVERY TIME a conservative opens his mouth is not helping thier case? They scream racist so often that most folks don’t even hear it. Give it a rest! Not every statement that comes from our side is carefully thought out and delivered so as to demean you and disparage your ethnicity.

      • steprock

Little boy who cried wolf? (Not a racist code word)

I think so too (Not a racist code word)

But it’s the only play they’ve got left. The President is a disaster with no record upon which to run (Not a racist code word)

I’ve taken to laughing at it, they’ve overplayed this hand so much and said in another post that it’s amazing that a GOP racist like me (tongue in cheek joke) would love West as much as I do (Not a racist code word)

        • NYGino

You are one very slick person steprock, and extremely sly and conniving. In reading your post I agree that all the words that you label as ‘Not a racist code word’ aren’t. But if you take those words and rearrange them in anagram form you come up with a racist code word. Stuff like this will not get past the libs, I assure you.

          • white531

            Do it again, steprock.

          • white531

I’m just like you, steprock. I”m an Allen West, Mia Love racist. I confess, Joe. Put me in chains.

            • But the lefties would call blacks who are conservatives or Repubs “Uncle Toms” or that they’re “back on the plantation”, which are in themselves racist phrases. Oh, but it’s okay when they say it.

          • steprock

Will you hush! Lefties read this blog and they’ll catch on to our hidden agenda!!!! We’re so secretly racist that not even WE realize it! SHHHHH

        • white531

steprock, you must be a lawyer. LOL 🙂

      • “Don’t these nutjobs on the left know that playing the reace card EVERY TIME a conservative opens his mouth is not helping thier case?”

It IS their case and their profession. They get paid to do this.
Imagine you’re one of these guys. You wake up in the morning, have a nice breakfast. The limo driver picks you up in your new suit and drives you to the studio where you spend your entire day screaming “RACIST!” whenever asked. At night it’s parties and women who like being around “grievance intellectuals”. And they pay you $150,000 a year to do this. These guys are making hay.

        • white531

While that may be true, breakn70, I wouldn’t want to live in their skin.

      • white531

        Some listen and some don’t.

      • That’s why they are nut jobs. They can’t help themselves. It’s almost like it’s in their DNA.

    • white531

Tried to give you three likes on that one Mike, but the system won’t cooperate.

    • white531

Well Mike, you pretty much nailed my problem with this racist, muslim President and his racist, muslim Attorney General. This is the guy who was going to get rid of all the racial hatred in this country and unite us. I’m still waiting.

      • Hey, I can wait, and wait, and wait. I shudder to think of a liberal “uniting” America.

    • And that’s the least offensive of his actions.

  • Whatever…I am so sick of this stuff…this two-bit phony in a cheap suit I am sure just had no problem when Baffling Biden referenced how Republicans want to “PUT Y”ALL BACK IN CHAINS” There is no comparison. Remember when you get to upset at a joke…it usually is because it is true!! This was not disgusting this was a great jab!! Notice this spiny whimps can never take 1/10 of what they dish out! Mitt you hit a home run!

  • johnos2112

I wonder if this man would say the same about the guy in the New Black Panther party that wants to bomb nurseries where “white babies” were. I guess that is okay huh?

    • NYGino

johnos2112, you should know by now that only white folks can be racist. It is biologically, politically and conveniently impossible for blacks to be racist. Just ask any liberal Democrat.

      • johnos2112

Maybe liberals should say that cannibis is in the air because most liberals walk around loaded and confused!

      • white531

While you are at it, just ask any black Conservative.

  • HARP2

I just love watching liberals turn themselves inside out.

    • white531

      On national television, nonetheless.

      • starvingchildren

        In front of 262 viewers!

Dr. Dyson. Are the hotties majoring in women’s studies going Brazilian wax or full bush? He must be getting more 20 yr. old coed tail than any man alive.

        • white531

starvingchildren, I understand your fervor and your emotion on this issue. I share some of the same. But if I were a Moderator here, which I am not, I would delete your comment and give you a warning.

You have to understand the huge difference between this site and others. We don’t approve of, or permit, name calling, sexual references, or other demeaning, derogatory comments against other persons, be they Liberal or otherwise. I know it is tempting. I have done it myself. All I am saying is, we need to refrain from it as much as we are able. You and I have both been on those other sites and we both know what they are like. We don’t want to become what they are. Hang with me on this one. I believe it is really important to all of us. There isn’t another site like this on the internet. I’d like to keep it that way.

          • starvingchildren

The guy is a punk and represents the worst element of the liberal talking heads. He’s positioning himself as the new voice of the oppressed — trying to take the torch from Jesse Jackson. but he’s simply Al Sharpton without the conk. It’s tongue in cheek but straight talk.

You must not have been reading some of the comments about Romney from the Santorum crowd a few months ago. It’s tame compared to that vitriol.

  • Romney’s so-called birther joke was a neat combination of levity flavored with veracity. Not bigoted at all. What’s wrong with these libs? Oh, right: A “joke” must contain profanity.

    • PJSTX

If you can’t manage profanity, then potty humor will have to suffice.

    • Is_Sense_Common

AND – it must make fun of those who are disabled in some way. (particularly if it’s a Republican who’s disabled or the parent of the disabled) It must cross all sense of decency and be vile & hateful. Only then will it be considered a “real” joke.

      • NYGino

Just to be fair, we should run this by Bill Maher for his opinion of what a ‘real’ joke is.

        • That’s easy. He looks in the mirror at one every day.

    • Or the “joke” must contain something offensive about conservative or Republican women…or conservatives or Republicans in general.

    • steprock

I’ve noticed that the one thing that the Left can’t stand is being teased.

They take themselves so seriously that a joke at their expense is the worst possible attack. We should remember that.

  • marketcomp

    What a BIG CRY BABY!

  • Grumblton

Bigotry – they keep using that word. I do not think it means what they think it means. Is it November yet?

    • NYGino

Must be some kind of ‘code word’.

    • Is_Sense_Common

Merriam-Webster’s definition of Bigot: : a person who is obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices; especially : one who regards or treats the members of a group (as a racial or ethnic group) with hatred and intolerance

Actually, it sounds more like the idiots at the table to me…

  • NYGino

The legitimate question of a persons place of birth, when it comes to being elected to the Presidency of the United States, has nothing at all to do with race. It has everything to do with ones eligibility to hold that office. These people are really ignorant.

    • Is_Sense_Common

I was thinking their heads are stuck somewhere else…

      • NYGino

The third person plural possessive form of the seventh planet from the Sun perhaps?

        • MiketheMarine

Wow, still waters run deep. LOL

        • Yeah, I had to count them out. Takes me a while but I get there, eventually!

          • NYGino

And you didn’t even have to take your shoes off to get there.

        • Rshill7

          Go get’em Gino!

        • Very clever! I like it.

      • ConnieConservative

I like the ” party sand” alternative, NYGino.
        Creative. Clean.

    • white531

What, and lose all those votes?

    • steprock

Gino, I don’t care if a guy wearing a tin foil hat and a sign that says the world is gonna end asks for that info. As an American, he has a RIGHT to it!

Hiding behind false accusations of racism is what is despicable. But they’ve gotten it into their heads that the Right can’t possibly win against this charismatic saint of a man, so we have to convince our racist base that he’s not one of us. Make him out to be a foreigner or an “angry black man”.

Come on, Chris Matthews said he was perfect, Newsweek ran him with a halo on his head. Why would we hate him?

  • Landscaper

Sucks when the shoe is on the other foot ‘eh liberals?

  • Notice how not one of them described the act in question that they didn’t agree with? When someone is racist, it’s extremely easy to describe what they did wrong. Here, they don’t even try. This was horrendously bad for them. I cringed.

    • Well, it is MSNBC. No real sense of decorum exists there anyway.

  • Is_Sense_Common

Wow. If that’s the “most dispicable bigotry” they can imagine, then they must not have very good imaginations. I’m just dumbfounded by the ridiculously serious tone these people are taking with this complete non-story. Do they really think regular Americans give a crap about a joke that Mittens made? Is anyone besides the buffoons sitting at that table outraged?

Get out of your stupid studio and speak to Americans for about an hour. You’ll find out that when you don’t have a job, can’t figure out how you’re going to put $4 gas in your car or food on the table or pay the mortgage, crap like that doesn’t mean ANYTHING! Other than maybe Mittens is demonstrating that he’s not 100% plastic. He actually demonstrated – humor!!

    • toongoon

Calling it “despicable bigotry” shows that have quite an imagination.

      • Is_Sense_Common

Well, I might describe it more as a “flare for drama,” but maybe it does require a special imagination to see racism around every syllable out a Republican’s mouth…

You might have a point Toon…

        • toongoon

I think with the hypocrisy that we get from the left there is an advantage to seeing both ways. 🙂

        • Nukeman60

Nah, they need no imagination at all. All they have to do is read the daily talking points memo sent to them every morning from the White House. They don’t have to think at all.

      • Imagination. A trait possessed by Our Esteemed Leader…and their “real boss”.

  • Philo Beddoe

First Romney is talking about putting people to work, then he brings up the birth certificate joke.

Talking about working and the B/C. The demunists cannot emotionally take this anymore, it’s becoming to much.

Soon we will see their heads explode on HD TV

    • Nukeman60

I may well break down and watch MSNBC all day on November 7th (if I can find the channel). The nonstop exploding heads should be a riot. 🙂

      • Patriot077

That put a smile on my grumpy face, Nuke!

If we can’t find the channel, no doubt Scoop will give us the highlights!

        • Nukeman60

That’s what I love about Scoop. Perhaps the highlights would be a safer and saner way to go. 🙂

          • white531

In my experience, Scoop is one of the first to put up the news on breaking events. I go here first.

      • white531

Do any of you remember during the final days of the election that gave George Bush the victory over Al Gore? Counting the ballots in Florida? The performance of some of the Liberal commentators on TV during that time was the most entertaining part of it all. They just broke down on live television and demonstrated what they were really made of. I think we are going to see that again, come this November.

        • Indeed. A lot of shaky voices and near convulsive physical reactions. Magnificent!

      • LMFAO x 10

      • I can imagine Rachel Madcow’s or Chris “Thrill Up My Leg” Matthews’ heads exploding right now. Exquisite!

  • p m

Give it up, asses – you’ve already lost. And it’ll be hard to push this imagined offense without playing it in context.

When you join the ranks of the unemployed, you’ll deserve it, unlike the millions who don’t, and have had their lives devastated by the bigot-in-chief, Zero. See how you like grocery and gas prices then, and look in the mirror to see who’s to blame.

    • Media Matters or the Center for American Progress better start doubling up people in their cubes to make room for the other losers from the Obama campaign and various lefty media outlets.

  • las1

My bad… it took shorter than I thought.

Fake outrage in about 3… 2 and a half… BINGO… THERE IT IS!

They really do have to classify American Liberalism as a disease. Then we won’t have to call them idiots… just sick.

    • NYGino

Then they can get Obamacare to pay for their disorder. No pre-existing problem.

Edit: By the way, is there a 12 step program for liberalism?

      • Is_Sense_Common

        Maybe a two-step program: Truth & Light.
        Or Repent & be changed?

        • white531

What happened to Hope and Change?

          • Their polls indicate that is no longer a popular platitude.

      • Rshill7

Yep, preferably right off a cliff or into an asylum. Either way works for me.

  • toongoon

What Romney said was pretty despicable. What he should have said was “nobody ever asked to see my REAL birth certificate” .

    • white531

That, and no one ever asked me about my brother, who lives in a hut in Kenya and doesn’t know where his next meal is coming from.

      • p m

That brother is lucky Dinesh D’Souza helps him out so much. Just recently the brother’s child was sick in hospital and he called Dinesh for $1,000. for treatment. Because there was no-one else to turn to. Dinesh spoke to the hospital and sent the money. Good guy, eh?

  • Well of course mittens is a racist bigot, that’s why he’s got 0 percent of the black vote. I mean he really shouldn’t have said anything about keeping them in chains. Oh wait…

    • Rshill7

Had he not said that he might have been able garner .007 % of the black vote, but then they’d start calling him James Bond or something to the tune of Diamonds are Forever or Live and Let Die.

Speaking of James Bond, these lefties are shaken AND stirred.

  • 911Infidel

I wonder if Aknard understands what the acronym FOAD stands for? Nah he ain’t that bright.

  • wolfveryne

Talk about the Wolf in Sheep skin ,, what would have happen if 44 turned out more like his White side ? LOL and lol ..

  • AustindPowers

it’s incredible to me… Romney was making a joke!!! he’s making fun of the whole birther controversy… he’s not saying, “oh i believe he wasn’t really born in hawaii… i believe he isn’t really an american… i believe he’s a scary black man…” he’s trying to lighten up and increase his likability, and these idiotic liberal pundits are out there over analyzing everything he says, searching for coded messages… it’s just funny, sad and pathetic really.

    • toongoon

      Don’t you mean “incredulous”?

  • toongoon

I think it’s pretty dam despicable that we even have to ask for obama’s birth certificate, college records, and an explanation of why he is using someone else’s SSN.

  • Mary Mendonca

It was a despicable “dog whistle” to people of your ilk. I voted for McCain but will NEVER vote for that stooge to the far right, Mitt (which way is the wind blowing Romney).

    • toongoon

      Well, just keep on blowing…

    • Rshill7

Why are the left the only ones who can hear that dog-whistle Madame Curie?

The lefties in my home town, during the primaries were saying they’d be OK with Mitt because “he’s a democrat”. Things change huh?

His constituency is different this time. Perhaps he’ll still deliver a landslide blow to O’ without ya’.

      • white531

“P.S. The wind is blowing into your left ear and out your right, unimpeded.”

I know I’m bad, but I just thought that needed repeating.

    • Nukeman60

Well, you made a mistake in ’08 (McCain wasn’t the answer to Obama) and it appears you didn’t learn from it in ’12 (Romney is the answer to Obama). But, hey, it’s your vote to waste as you see fit.

    • FreeManWalking

My my bless your little heart, it sounds like those floppy things on the side of your head is picking up a high pitched noise from BSNBC.

      • white531

I liked the, BSNBC. Do I have your permission to use that?

      • Thumbs up on BSNBC! Good one!

    • white531

So glad to have you here among us, Mary. It is people like you, who give all of us hope to go on. As misguided as we are, we only have one goal. To save this country from the Socialism that Obama promised he would give us.

I hope you come here often, because you fill a purpose. You and people like you, are a reminder of what we are facing. God Bless You.

    • MSNBC Wants You!

  • RosiesSeeingRed

Oh please, how is questioning a birth certificate BIGOTRY? The truth of the matter is, they don’t want to talk about Obama’s birth certificate and all of the other things Obama is hiding from us, so they immediately use the race card to divert the conversation away from the elephant in the room, which is Obama’s sketchy past.

Obama and his minions have been throwing out the race card since the 2008 campaign against McCain. Who can forget him saying on a campaign stop, “They’re going to try to make you afraid of me. He’s young and inexperienced and he’s got a funny name. And did I mention he’s black?”

It may have worked in 2008, but it’s not ever going to work again. Nice try, liberals, but we’re on to you.

    • Nukeman60

The good news is the race card is well-worn in the deck by now and it’s true identity is showing through.

      It’s a joker.

      • RosiesSeeingRed

        Good one, nuke!

      • ZING!

  • Sober_Thinking

Throwing out the words: bigotry and racism, is to them is like a gag reflex for us when we have to hear their donkey-squeeze.

  • Army_Pilot1967

Oh, pleeeze, Dyson…get a life and get over it. Romney doesn’t have to apologize for anything he’s said. The Left looks for anything they can pounce on and slap down the ol’ race card on top of it and start screaming about racism and bigotry. How stupid the Left is when it comes to such things. That refrain is getting mighty old, and I’m tired of hearing such tripe!!!!!

  • Dukehoopsfan

Wow, the five of them is like an all you can eat buffet of stupidity. I imagine the seven viewers were inspired.

    • You’re giving them too much credit. They have five viewers.

  • HopeHeFails

Anything Dyson hates is good for America.

  • When it comes to bigotry, no one is more despicable than Michael Eric Dyson. Romney made a joke, pure and simple, and it has triggered a grand mal epileptic seizure in the Left.

I think it is great! Romney relaxed and comfortable enough in his own skin to make this remark. It does not matter what Obama & his ilk think. They are pissing into the wind, and you know what happens when you do that! That is the odor that you smell when ever you hear one of these liberal news media people talk..

However, if you listen closely, you will smell the fear of some so called conservatives that are afraid to kick the can down the street. Write their names down, they are the weak links in the conservative movement.

  • SurfinCowboy

Yeah! I agree with Mr. Dyson! Total distraction! We need to be like the POTUS and have no plan, no record, and bring up dogs on cars and tax returns!! Yeah!! Jeeze, Mr. Dyson is soooo smart!!

He’s so smart he just fell for the bait, and in a round about way just called his own candidate a despicable bigot – for one cannot ignore that these are the tactics of the POTUS’s campaign and that the POTUS has NO PLAN for the future.

Thank you Mr. Dyson! You found him out!!

    What a dumb**s….

  • Bucketheadbaptist

This would bother me… except for the fact that there is NOBODY on this panel whom I’d trust with $1 of money to invest.

  • GuessWhoFan

Thanks to these tools, charges of racism now mean nothing in this country. They’ve cheapened the entire discourse regarding race.

    • white531

What an inspirational comment, guesswhofan. How full of truth. God bless you for sharing that.

    • I like NASCAR and that makes me a true “racist”! Ha!

    • Wisewoman2

While this statement may not be accurate 100% of the time it mostly seem that this “all white people are racist crowd” that Dyson is a part of is usually young in their 30s and 40s. These dummies were not there or part of the civil rights struggle as I was. Had they been a part of the true movement they would know that many whites like Bert Lancaster, Peter Lawford, etc. gave of their time and effort and who in person raised money for the cause by comming to a gathering in MS which I attended. Famous and not so famous white peple from all walks of life helped tremendously. Dr. MLK through his grace and dignity helped to change the hearts of many Americans black and white. As a 67 year of AA female, I appreciate and am eternally grateful for their help. It is also why I look at Obama not as a person who enhances but shames the legacy of MLK.

  • aquaviva

    Dyson: “Thisconflagurationofmystificationisanabominationtomycitizenifcation.”

  • L B

haha… they all know deep down that Romney IS going to be the President of the USA

  • layne22

“Why would he go there” Well, let’s see maybe it has something to do with Barack Obama’s own bio put out by his literary agent that said he was born in Kenya raised in Indonesia and Hawaii.

  • B-Funk

That’s all he’s got? It’s like taking a punch from a baby. What whiney weenies these people are.

  • bayway48

This reminds me of what my grandma used to say: “A person who habitually lies and constantly carries a guilty conscience shouts out a confession before anyone points a finger of blame.” uhmmm uh ah hum a….ya know Michael!?!….oh and a yeah a hum er the real stupid one….the real REAL real stupid one oh yeah…wassurhername sheist dingdong debbie?!?

They whole Democratic Establishment are sitting on a giant powder keg of lies, hate, and deception that are so volitile, they are going to explode at anything that presses against their sentinel of absolute fabrications.

    • white531

Comment more, bayway48. I like your thoughts.

  • daisybud

Yea Mitt!!!! Tell it like it is. Let these idiots call you whatever they want. They know their idiot in chief has lost his own election with statements like “You didn’t build that” and they can’t unring that bell. So now they are clinging to statements made by unknowns like Akin. Won’t work!! They are a desperate bunch of losers. Can’t wait to see the helicopter take all the Obama’s away from the White House with mother-in-law in tow!!

I was thinking more of a U-Haul Truck. Maybe a couple, actually. One for the furniture and one for Michelle.

        LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!You have a point there…

Think back to the 2008 Democrat race. The 0bama camp was in a race hot and heavy with the Clinton camp. The 0bama camp lobed the Race Card into the Clinton camp. Clinton, the first black president, has never gotten over the altercation. Stay with me, the Clinton Camp was ticked. The 0bama camp was victorious. The Race Card was, thusly, reduced to “just politics.” Henceforth, The Race Card is innocuous. Side bar, after The race-card-tennis-ball match, Bill, Hill, Bar, Shelly, went to dinner and discussed the future plan. The End.

    • (sarc-on)Hey, but all is forgiven. Hill is SOS and Slick Willie is a keynote speaker at the DNC.(sarc-off)

  • Stehekin912

I have seen some despicable bigotry, friend, and Romney’s little joke doesn’t doesn’t come anywhere near either despicable or bigotry.

Save your comments about bigotry and despicableness for actions that truly deserve them. The words will have meaning that way.

Yeah, I know. I am wasting my “breath”.

  • brendawatkins

Wow.. dismiss the past why don’t we? I’d say slaves being whipped to death is pretty despicable, but, I guess that doesn’t compare to a birth certificate joke from Romney? How bizarre is that?

  • Nukeman60

Having read Rules for Radicals, I found the entire exchange interesting, in a context of what each of these people actually said.

The first guy said, “They have to go back to their base bigotry“. The first woman then said, “They’re trying to re-package him (Romney) heading into the convention“. The next woman then says, “That statement is scraping the very bottom of the sort of racist narrative of other (unintelligible)“. And the fourth person says, “Why would he go there? What’s the wrapping around this string of craziness?” Finally, back to the first guy, who finishes up with, “But don’t you think that when you are in crisis, you fall back upon that which is essentially you?

Putting these statements all together as one full statement, you have a simple description of what Obama is actually doing himself and they tried to put it all back on the Republicans and Romney. Straight out of Rules for Radicals. Turn the narrative back on your opponent, and the people, having heard it about your candidate, will believe it as the truth about your opponent. It’s the only attack plan they have.

    • RosiesSeeingRed

Nuke, right on. You got it!!! I’ve been reading “Rules for Radicals: Defeated”, and I’m almost also wondering if Romney is using one of their own tactics against Obama. I was thinking that when Romney dropped that joke in Michigan, he did it intentionally. He never said Obama wasn’t born here, but by naming the hospitals that he and Ann were born in, he revived the controversy that the left has worked so hard to avoid. By now, the race card has gotten old and overused, and they are running out of ways to avoid the birth certificate and college records controversy. The more they have demanded Romney’s tax returns, the more the right has been pushing back with “show me your b.c. and college transcripts.”

I don’t think it’s a coincidence, either, that Trump — the head honcho of the birther movement — has announced that he has a surprise in store for us at the convention. People are already speculating that it could be about Obama’s nefarious past, and I think this has the left on edge. Remember, with Alinsky, it was not about the action, but about the REaction. It doesn’t matter if the accusation, ridicule or other diversion technique is true. It just matters that the other side reacts. The reaction then becomes the story, and they’ve successfully deflected away the controversial subject.

So who is reacting now? The left! Romney casually makes that joke, Trump is planning a big surprise, and everyone is talking about Obama’s birth certificate again, just in time for the GOP convention, where Romney gets to flaunt his patriotism and love for the USA. Meanwhile, except for the 7 people who watch MSNBC, the rest of the country is thinking “not the race card again!” — especially when they actually hear what Romney said. Bigotry? Give me a break.

Seriously, I think Romney has pulled an Alinsky on Obama!

      • Nukeman60

Romney’s camp is smart. Using Alinsky against them would send them into a tizzy. One has to wonder why else would a simple little joke appear to get them all riled up (other than the fact that they still believe the race card actually works any more).

Thanks for the tip on the book ‘Rules for Radicals Defeated‘. I’ll have to pick that one up tomorrow for further reading.

      • white531

Good, Rosy. I like your perspective on this.

    • white531

Nuke, you never fail to nail it. Kudos, my man! You reduced this entire argument to three paragraphs.

    • Bully! Jolly good!

    • p m

“But don’t you think that when you are in crisis, you fall back upon that which is essentially you?”

Great post, nukeman. And aren’t they just doing that right now, falling back to what they essentially are. Unfortunately they don’t have far to fall, eh? Pity.

  • The hypocrisy they spew is maddening! Romney’s joke today was “despicable bigotry” and yet the ad showing Allen West punching a white woman is NOT????????? Remarkable selective outrage.

  • kong1967

I don’t get it. I haven’t heard the quote in context, either, but from what she said I don’t understand the hoopla. No one has asked him for his birth certificate because everyone knows he was born here. So what.

It was a dig at Obama’s refusal to turn over what I believe should be the most basic of requirements to become President. The left demanded it from McCain and got it, yet we are bigots because Obama refused to turn his over and we don’t like it? The left held requirements for McCain but we don’t have the right to expect the same from Obama? Give me a break. If Obama wouldn’t have spent upwards of $2 million to prevent showing his birth certificate then suddently produces one out of thin air many months later, this wouldn’t be an issue. Obama deserves the doubt, the mistrust and the criticism.

  • stevenbiot

Haha! Romney, are we getting in the trenches? Go for the throat, Romney. He went their because conservatives are going to start playing dirty. If any group of pseudo reporters should understand those tactics, it is MS(wankers)NBC.

  • hongryhawg

msnbc yakkers take the trophy for mutual masturbation, again……

  • B-Funk

Anytime a conservative or republican opens up their mouth, this is what happens. Gotta get used to it. :-/ Besides, I think Mittens was playing them like a fiddle. I’m sure he knew exactly what was going to happen.

    • My thoughts exactly!

  • white531

He said that Romney’s comment was, “Scary.” I think it is scary that MSNBC could assemble five racist commentators on one panel with so little brains among them. If this is the best the Left can do, then November is going to be a slam dunk.

  • white531

Share with me your thoughts on this. What is it that benefits the lame stream media from embracing socialism and communism? I have never had that explained to me in a way that I could understand. It would seem that Conservative thought and productivity in the marketplace would better serve them. Forgive me for introducing a little of Ayn Rand here this evening, but what do they gain by supporting this idiot? What’s in it for them?

  • Oh please. These liberal idiots are completely insane. That was a very light joke, but of course a black racist and a bunch of self-hating white americans at MSNBC find it offensive. I don’t like Romney or Obama but get a life, you libtards!

  • For a person who sees racism and bigotry in garden vegetables, Dyson has very little imagination.

  • Fuk these bigoted mf’ers.

    • white531

Language, Daniel. Language. I use this site to teach my children about what it means to be Conservative. Help me a little. I would appreciate it immensely.

  • Botzilla If you haven’t seen this check it out, all conservatives can relate.

  • 2hairs

The Democrat KKK use to lynch black people, and a joke about someone’s birthcertificate is the most despicible bigotry we can imagine. Does Dyson know his own history?

  • Colsa2

    “most despicable bigotry”
Child please. I don’t know if your mother did or didn’t beat your ass enough when you were a child but you have some deep seated anxiety issues. Pop another paxil.

OMG! Such deep and insightful talk over a – JOKE?! For crying out loud…

  • GiantM

  • These people are supposed to be smart? Bigotry? Racism? What a laugh! Romney was joking for God’s sake. These people don’t have a sense of humor at all! Let them continue on with their buffoonery. I wonder what they’ll have to say when Romney is President. Judging from their reactions, I predict at least three out of the five will check into the nearest mental institution.

  • Yea, dude, you are right on! Your rhetoric is boiling with substance.

  • Philo Beddoe

British National Archives release birth registrations. 1 son born to obama Sr between 1961 and 1963. Who could that be?

  • Here is a simple question: Why would anyone spend between $2 to $4 million dollars to keep his college records, admission application, etc hidden?

    • Suzyqpie

Hi Frank, because the college records confirm a sloppy, slovenly, lazy, haphazard, poorly executed, poorly planed, total failure to think through the implications, debris field of scholarship. Confirmed by the saturation of the same characteristics displayed in the 0bama Presidency.

    • AlabamaPatriot2

I can speculate that they’re hidden more for what they don’t say, that what they do say.

  • Very informative discussion. Are these people paid for this? Are our tax dollars being spent to prop up this nonsense?

  • giomerica

  • aposematic

Has the left now been reduced to grasping for straw(dog)s? If crap like this fake outrage is all they have they are in deep trouble.

  • Suzyqpie

  • bobemakk

What B$, then tell Obama to release his “real” birth certificate and “real” college records. He keeps everything under wraps and should not be president. Romney/Ryan must win.

  • steprock

He’s NOT in crisis. He’s getting into his groove. The one thing the Left can’t take is being mocked.

The FACT is that it took Donald Trump raising the issue to even get some form of a birth certificate. But, let’s not mention that. No, let’s assume that he is from America because he said so.

Implying otherwise, to these reporters, is not based on the fact that his records are sealed, he refused to provide a birth certificate, his own old bio says he’s from Kenya. No, it’s just cause Mitt doesn’t like black people.

  • Chris Whitesell

These are some total clowns……not only was this a joke but they act like this was never an issue…..if this was such a none issue then why did Obamama finally release his obviously bogus birth cert after Trump hamered him about it for weeks…I thought Trump was a hack joker so why respond? I love it as it drove the crowd wild and if it was so totally radical why were the 2 nuns in the background loving it so much…those scary nuns!
