UPDATE: TRUMP ADVISOR DENIES – Trump surrogates now say Trump is talking about VIRTUAL wall

MSNBC reporter Hallie Jackson says that Trump is planning on giving a big immigration policy speech soon and that his campaign surrogates are already talking, not just about a physical wall, but a virtual wall:

You’ve got some questions now about even his wall, for example. You have some of his surrogates now saying that Donald Trump, when he talks about the wall, is also talking about not just a physical wall but a technological or a virtual wall, raising some questions about what exactly that means.

Jackson’s counterpart on MSNBC tweeted this about her comments:

Almost two months ago Trump endorser Rick Perry said there really would be no physical wall, that it would in fact be virtual:

“I’m for Donald Trump, and he says we’re going to build a wall, the Mexicans are gonna pay for it,” Perry told Snapchat’s Peter Hamby.

Hamby remarked, “It’s not going to happen.”

“Well, it’s not,” Perry said, explaining, “It’s a wall, but it’s a technological wall, it’s a digital wall.”

Perry, who is supporting Trump, commented, “There are some that hear this is going to be 1,200 miles from Brownsville to El Paso, 30-foot high, and listen, I know you can’t do that. “

It sounds like Trump may indeed be shifting from a physical wall to a virtual wall. Whether this is an actual flip flop or not remains to be seen, but at this point it certainly wouldn’t surprise any of us.
