Earlier today Panetta threw Obama under the proverbial bus in his new book over Obama’s refusal to leave troops in Iraq in 2011:
“The President’s team at the White House pushed back, and the differences occasionally became heated…and those on our side viewed the White House as so eager to rid itself of Iraq that it was willing to withdraw rather than lock in arrangements that would preserve our influence and interests.”
Megyn Kelly had State Department spokesperson Jen Psaki on to respond to these allegations and all Psaki could do was spin her arguments around the fact that Maliki wouldn’t grant protection for our troops. But Kelly refused to let her get away ignoring the allegation that if we had offered more troops that Maliki would have allowed the protections and then proceeded to shred all of her arguments.
It was brutal and awesome all at the same time.
