MUST WATCH: Oregon Republican calls out Liberal reporter, gets THROWN OUT of candidate meeting

This has to be the best thing I’ve seen since Newt Gingrich was calling out the liberal media in 2012.

Republican Mark Callahan, who is running for US Senate in Oregon, was in a candidate review meeting with other colleagues in order for Willamette Week, a publication in Portland, to decide who they would endorse in the upcoming primary. An opponent of his, Republican Joe Rae Perkins, was on speaker phone. There were others in the room but I’m not sure who they were specifically.

The clip starts with Perkins answering a question on speaker phone. While she was answering it, one of WW’s reporters, Nigel Jaquiss, wrote ‘blah blah blah blah’ on his paper as she was answering. Callahan noticed it and called Jaquiss out for it, saying:

You want to talk about disrespect? I see what you’re writing down there. You just wrote down ‘blah blah blah blah blah’ for everything that Joe Rae said. Joe Rae is a respectable woman. Why are you not respecting her by writing ‘blah blah blah blah blah’ on your notepad?

Whoever was leading the meeting wanted to move on and ask Callahan a question, telling him that if he answers respectfully that they might consider endorsing him. Callahan fired back:

You have to give respect in order to get respect. Right now on that side of the table, you’re not giving very much respect to the five of us and our time here.

After a little more back and forth, the meeting leader asked Callahan if he believes Climate Change is a myth or reality. Callahan answered:

Myth.”

The reporter who wrote ‘blah blah blah blah blah’ followed up asking Callahan condescendingly “where are you on the easter bunny?”

Callahan was indignant:

Are these really the questions I was called here to answer? I called you out for putting ‘blah blah blah blah blah’ on your notepad and now you’re asking me questions like this? Really? Are we talking about this now?

Okay how about you ask a very serious and respectful question instead of asking a little childish question.

The meeting leader told Callahan he just asked him about Climate Change and that he wanted to move on to someone else. He scolded Callahan “if you’re not going to let me I’m going ask you to leave. That’s two strikes.

At this point Callahan chuckled to himself and responded:

Who do you think you are?”

The leader then told Callahan he had to leave. “You’re done here. This is neither a fair or balanced meeting. This is a meeting for us to decide…

Callahan interrupted:

“I know it’s a meeting being asked by disrespectful thin-skinned liberals like yourself.”

Someone else in the room said “There’s the door.”

Callahan walked out, noting he had better things to do with his time. The meeting leader snarked “You clearly do.”

    Callahan was more patient and kind to that A-hole reporter than I would have been. As soon as I saw the “reporter” writing blah, blah, blah I would have called them out on it and THAT would have been the only “strike” needed to let me know that the entire thing was pure bovine fecal matter. I would have gotten up and said that I had better things to do with my time than waste it with people as unserious about their craft as they appeared to be.

    And folks wonder why the media has no respect!

    This is what you get on the left coast. We moved from our beloved Washington two years ago. While I miss the beauty that is where we lived, I do not miss the liberal left that has taken over the once great state. Oregon is sandwiched in between Washington and California so there it goes as well. While we have not arrived, yet, at our ultimate destination, Texas, we are moving toward that end. At least where we currently reside, outside Columbus, OH we have lots of like minded neighbors that are making our transition sweet.
    Praying for a revival in this nation. That people will repent, respond and return to our once conservative values that most here hold so dear.

        It began in the 1980’s when all those in California sold their homes for way more than they were worth and moved north to WA. We had several in our circle that did exactly that and they brought all that liberal thinking with ’em.
        Don’t get me started on the bike lanes. #)*@D)) things. I mean they are all over in south King Co. I would be walking, minding my own business on the sidewalk with the bike lane next to me on the street, that yes we paid for, and guess what? They were mad at me because I didn’t hear them approaching me while they were riding on the sidewalk. I finally walked with ear phones and would reply, “Really? I thought we paid for that bike lane right there for you who choose to rider your bikes?” Smile and plug back in.
        Sorry. But unfortunately, we had hoped that Ohio would have been better politically. When it went blue in 2012, my sweet husband and I threw up our hands. Couldn’t even make a difference here.

      As a native Texan, I hope you make it here and love it. A number of companies are moving from CA to TX. No state income tax, and employers are protected from employee lawsuits (thanks to the mafia-style Rainy Day Fund we’re so proud of).     This just shows me more how low liberals can get. not only did the Republican representative get treated like a child, not one of the other candidates stood up for him. Regardless of your views on climate change, there is a bigger problem with morality going on in that room. Everyone was classless for letting something like that take place.

    I have seen this many times with our local Republican candidates. If they do not give the media the “correct” answers, they not only fail to get an endorsement, they are ensured of being smeared , misquoted or ignored.

    It has gotten so bad that some coordinate their answers with the press in advance.

    Most of them not only go along with the press, they often follow through with liberal policy decision so they will be ensured a smooth re-election treatment by the press.

    The fault lies with Republican voters who do not even notice that their candidates are progressives and who will only give their vote to conservative candidates who refuse to back down.

        But, for the first time ever, stopping climate from changing? No science says we can do that. There is no science that says we can stop the ever changing climate. We dealt with it before. We’ll deal again.
