People are freaking out over a tweet that Netanyahu’s office posted comparing the threat of ISIS with that of Iran:
Iran's increasing aggression is more dangerous than that of ISIS, and the true goal of this aggression in the end is to take over the world.
— PM of Israel (@IsraeliPM) July 8, 2015
Criticism ranged from saying he was exaggerating, to actually accusing the Israelis of “creating” ISIS to terrorize their enemies.
But this isn’t the first time Netanyahu has made such a statement, and he’s right. He added this tweet as explanation:
The concessions agreement Iran is about to receive paves the way for it to arm itself with nukes and continue disseminating terror worldwide
— PM of Israel (@IsraeliPM) July 8, 2015
And these comments the same week from the Jerusalem Post:
“Obviously no one thinking with a clear mind would consider giving Islamic State nuclear weapons,” Netanyahu said. “But in the negotiations taking place now with Iran, this extreme state that spreads terrorism around the world is being given the ability to develop a nuclear weapons arsenal with many nuclear bombs, together with the means to deliver them.”
The world is facing two major threats, he said, the Islamic State threat, and the Iranian threat. “We should not strengthen one at the expense of the other,” he said, “we need to weaken both and prevent the aggression and military buildup of both of them.”
Just this week we reported how the Iranians are chanting “Death to Israel,” while burning American flags and images of Obama. These are the people we’d trust with nukes?
