Talk about close to home. Because these territories are already run by Israel-hating Islamists, it never occurred to me that could undergo the same transition that’s happened in Egypt and is happening in Syria. But it’s clearly on Netanyahu’s radar:

CBN NEWS – Speaking at the start of a Bible study at his home, Netanyahu likened the current situation in the Middle East to the beginning of the portion of the Jewish Bible (Torah — first five books of the Bible) being studied this week.

“Now there arose a new king over Egypt,” Netanyahu said, quoting the passage from Exodus 1:8, where a new pharaoh arose that did not know the Biblical patriarch Joseph.

“Like then, like today,” the Prime Minister told participants, which included the former Chief Rabbi of Israel and current Chief Rabbi of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Rabbi Yisrael Meir Lau and former IDF Chief Rabbi Brig.-Gen. Rafi Peretz.

“In Egypt, the regime has been replaced, in Syria the regime is being shaken and this could also happen in the Palestinian Authority areas in Judea and Samaria,” he said. “Everyone knows that Hamas could take over the Palestinian Authority. It could happen after an agreement, it could happen before an agreement, like it happened in Gaza.” …

Netanyahu said because of the takeover that already occurred in Gaza he would not “run forward, make concessions [and] withdraw” in a hasty negotiating process with the Palestinians.

Just peachy. The pieces to the WWIII chess game look a lot like the pieces to WWI.

    • Orangeone

And many of the pieces from WWII

      • http://profile.yahoo.com/44F4AB4VSCTOCHBMBG4ZWWD5OU Laurel

Tactics borrowed yes but not overall causal effects. The pieces are falling into place much like WWI.

        • CO2isGood

Meanwhile back in the USA thanks in part to the 70% of the Jewish American vote, the pieces are falling in place much like the Civil War.

          • http://profile.yahoo.com/44F4AB4VSCTOCHBMBG4ZWWD5OU Laurel

Look at your overall Jewish history. They come to their senses always but usually when it is too late.

    • http://twitter.com/SheerPolitics Sheer Politics

Except in WWI and WWII we were on the side of the good guys. Obama not going to have Israel’s back except to put a knife in it!

      • http://profile.yahoo.com/44F4AB4VSCTOCHBMBG4ZWWD5OU Laurel

We were on the side of the good guys because we won…that makes us the good guys. If we lost history and subsequent generations would have been taught differently. Leave the West and you find out they are. For example the Japanese still teach that we were the aggressors in WWII and their children have never even heard of the bombing of Pearl Harbor or the rape of Nanking.

        • tinlizzieowner

Their children and most US citizens, know nothing about the Japanese atomic bomb program, or how close they were to using one on us.

          • http://profile.yahoo.com/44F4AB4VSCTOCHBMBG4ZWWD5OU Laurel

I agree. Or the enslavement of our soldiers or a lot of things.

        • http://twitter.com/SheerPolitics Sheer Politics

Yes and there are still people who deny the Holocaust too….

I doubt there are many Japanese adults who don’t know of those things if they have any connection to the outside world. Anyone who has a connection to the internet can find out. It used to be that you could hide your political dirty laundry…a lot harder now.

          • http://profile.yahoo.com/44F4AB4VSCTOCHBMBG4ZWWD5OU Laurel

You would be amazed. You can doubt because you do it through a window of being informed. However having dealt with many a foreign exchange student I can firmly state otherwise. It is easy to dismiss extemporaneous sources as being nuts since the average person does that every single day. If one cannot wrap their head around something or admit they are wrong they just dismiss the source. Japanese are not immune from human nature.

Netanyahu will not back down and play PC games. Boy, wouldn’t it be great to have a President of the United States who acted like that? Who would ever think that our leader, the leader of the free world, would be no leader at all (unless you consider leading from behind – way behind).

    • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

I agree Nukefriend. I wish we had a clone of Bibi!

LOVE your new avatar!! Excellent choice! :-D

We did have that once upon a time…

It’s going to be an interesting time all around the globe this year it seems. Scary yes, but it will be interesting to see what the Lord does.

Whatever happens – He will protect His own, the faithful who pray to Him. He will fill their hearts with His peace, and he will take away their fear.

Looking back, when I was much younger and hadn’t yet found my way back to Him, I was far more scared and afraid than I am today.

      • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

Same here mum. I mean things are still scary, and many times I do get anxious for others, but I always have that inner calm and His voice seeming to remind me to trust and Know He is God. :-D

Nothing would surprise me given what’s happening in the Middle East these days. My money is still on Jordan and Lebanon being next on the list.

    I like Bibi a lot!
Assimilation of the Bible and politics really does work-he is a wise man because of this.
Imagine, the USA operating under these principles – we would be experiencing the blessing that comes from the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob!
“Choose you this day”… and we, as a country, have not chosen correctly.
    Once again, God is right.

But don’t worry, I’m sure Obama is right on it. Right on it in the sense that this is exactly what he wants to happen. He WANTS Israel marginalized and isolated. Then, when the final assault does come on Israel, Obama will just say that there isn’t anything he can do to save the country without creating an even larger war. So he’ll just let Israel die without lifting a finger to help it. Be honest. Do any of you really think Obama would come to the aid of Israel like Nixon did during the Yom Kippur War of 1973? Nixon was almost willing to go to nuclear war with Russia over Israel. Do you think Obama has the stones to do that? Give me a break. If I were an Israeli right now, I’d be really worried, especially with Iran about to get a nuclear bomb.

  • colliemum

Netanyahu has a very good feel for what these palis are up to. This was, for me, a sort of warning shot, telling them he’s looking at them and is prepared.

Meanwhile, he’s not been just sitting around: the fence against Egypt is nearly finished, see here:
“Netanyahu says Israel has ‘achieved the impossible’ by building 142-mile fence to keep terrorists, smugglers, and migrants out” – with only 7.5 miles to go, to be finished by May 2013.
    http://www.timesofisrael.com/touting-completion-of-main-part-of-egypt-border-fence-pm-vows-to-track-down-migrants/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter

On the other hand, regarding Iran, see this:
“Iranian officials have instructed residents of Isfahan to leave the city, renewing concerns that a nearby nuclear site could be leaking radioactive material.
An edict issued Wednesday by Iranian authorities orders Isfahan’s one-and-a-half million people to leave the city “because pollution has now reached emergency levels,” the BBC reported.”

    Hm. Interesting …

America isn’t that bright. Try getting in the southern border of Mexico illegally (without bribing the guards) and watch what happens to you. ;-) ;-)

  • Sober_Thinking

All of this fulfills Bible prophecy… no surprise.

Like Obama picking the absolute worst people for positions of power in our government, the same goes for the world in a way… pick the worst thing that could happen in the West Bank and that is likely what will happen. Trust radical Islamists to do the worst thing.

  • http://twitter.com/SheerPolitics Sheer Politics

RS: What’s worse is Obama has allowed the radical Muslim brotherhood take power in places like Egypt, who were at peace with Israel.

There are no Palestinians any more than there would be Saharans. There was never a country of Palestine–most of these people are ethnically Arabs who are refused to allow to assimilate into their countries after the Arab-Israeli war. Some, like Yasser Arafat, were originally from Egypt. Palestine was a territory created by the British after they took control of what had been a succession of countries, including Ottoman Empire (Turkey) rule since the 1500s. If you read Mark Twain’s Innocents Abroad, he gives a very good description of the area as a arid wilderness with only a few Bedouins. No one wanted anything to do with the area until Jews were allowed passage after WWII and returned to Israel. Then, since the Arab-Israeli war, these people called Palestinians have been used by pawns by the Arabs in an attempt force the Israelis out.

  • aposematic

It is shocking how much the tactics used by the Islamists to attack Israel mirror the tactics the Leftists use to attack Conservatives; or vice versa. All promoted by the corruption and lies of a perched World Cabal and backed by a totally corrupt International MSM/Press.

  • mikeinidaho

Coming to a West Bank near you, soon! Remember when Glenn Beck was laughed at over the idea of a new “Caliphate”? Not so funny now, is it.

  • tinlizzieowner

Netanyahu warns West Bank could have an Arab Spring like Egypt, Syria.

    Why would anybody think otherwise?
