NEW POLL: Boehner must go

Turns out most Republicans want Boehner replaced as Speaker, according to a new poll done by Pat Caddell:

CONSERVATIVE REVIEW – Now, as the new Congress prepares to convene and elect a Speaker, a newly released poll of GOP voters conducted by pollster Pat Caddell on behalf of People’s Poll shows that the current Speaker, John Boehner (R-OH), has lost the confidence of his own party’s voters.

According to the national poll, an overwhelming 60% of GOP voters want a new Speaker; only 25% would vote to keep Boehner.

These numbers are what you would expect from the members of the other party, not Republican voters.

What’s more striking about this poll is that when respondents were asked whether they felt Boehner has been ineffective in opposing Obama’s agenda, 64% agreed.

Will this make any difference? I doubt it. Republicans in Congress seem to care more about things like seniority than what the American people want.
