About the only thing people are talking about today is how much they hate Colin Kaepernick for saying he didn’t stand up for the national anthem because America oppresses blacks.
But that would make him a huge hypocrite, because of his enormous collection of Nike shoes:
I rock with Nike, all I see is checks! @Nike #TakeYourPick #Sneakerhead #MakeYourGarageACloset https://t.co/uhquSL10pD

How is that connected with “oppression”? Well Nike is known for using the absolute cheapest labor they can find, paying people in developing countries as little as 17 cents an hour. Why isn’t that oppression? Oh, because Kaepernick loves Nike, that’s why!! They’ve also been dinged for using child labor in the past, but I guess he’s OK with that kind of oppression.
To be fair to Nike, they’ve done a lot lately to improve their business practices lately.
But it goes to the much larger question that if Kaepernick really believes that America is so racist, what is he personally doing to make it better? It’s one thing to sit on your ass and insult America, but is he putting his money where his mouth is?
This is what liberal indoctrination has done to Americans – they’ve made them into whiny babies who care more to make a show of their “principled stand” against racism, than to actually do something to make it better. It’s much easier to make a “statement” of a complaint than roll your sleeves up and make things better.
And then there’s the people that think this is completely fabricated for attention. After all, he didn’t seem to think America was so terrible just a few years ago:
shout out to our troops and all they do for this great country

Thank you to all the veterans that have helped to protect our country and freedom!

So what happened between now and then? Did he suddenly realize America is awful and racist?
Why don’t ya’ll have an open thread while you’re at it. GO NUTS!!!
