North Korea is INCREASING NUKE capabilities, Pompeo admits there’s a THREAT…

There are signs that North Korea is far from reducing its nuclear capabilities, and might be actually increasing the threat to their neighbors and to us.

From the Daily Beast:

North Korea has continued to upgrade its only known nuclear reactor, satellite imagery has shown, calling into question the value of the summit agreement between Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un. Infrastructure improvements at the Yongbyon nuclear plant, which is used to fuel the country’s weapons program, are “continuing at a rapid pace,” according to analysis by monitoring group 38 North. The upgrades include the modification of a cooling system for the plutonium production reactor, at least two new non-industrial buildings, and a new engineering office building.

Watch below:

Pompeo seems to have vaguely admitted they’re still a threat, but he defended Trump saying they’re not a threat at all.

From CNN:

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told US lawmakers on Wednesday that North Korea remains a nuclear threat, but defended President Donald Trump for tweeting earlier this month, “There is no longer a Nuclear Threat from North Korea.”

“I’m confident what (Trump) intended there was, ‘we did reduce the threat,'” Pompeo told a Senate panel. “I don’t think there’s any doubt about that.”

“We took the tension level down,” he added.

Pompeo also confirmed North Korea has yet to return the remains of any of the fallen US service members who died in the country during the Korean War, despite the President saying last week that transfers were underway.

Well OK then. If the report is true then I don’t see how the threat has lessened. But there’s a long way to go to draw complete conclusions about whether Trump’s slobbering over a vicious dictator will pay peace dividends.
