It’s going around twitter that Rand Paul just walked off the set of an interview with Periscope:
Rand just apparently cut short an interview with the Guardian on periscope after qs about GOP and criminal justice
— Zeke Miller (@ZekeJMiller) April 10, 2015
Here’s the interview. Notice the Periscope interviewer thought Rand Paul cut off the lights on him:
Actually the interview was over. Rand agreed to one more question and that’s what he did.
Ehm, Rand Paul's Periscope "walk out" not quite what it was made out to be. Not smooth by him, but not as bad either https://t.co/PScWVoMDq3

Rand: “One more” question – @PaulLewis agrees “one more question” and “last question” – Rand answers and leaves https://t.co/YOYaZQbnWz

As to who cut out the lights:
We didn't turn the lights off and neither did my staff. CNN producers did. It was time for my interview with @DanaBashCNN – Team Rand
— Dr. Rand Paul (@RandPaul) April 10, 2015
. @ZekeJMiller he did get annoyed w the guy but actually we turned lights off when he finished bc our intv was right after in same room
— Dana Bash (@DanaBashCNN) April 10, 2015
Of course he got annoyed. The guy wanted to ask another question after agreeing to that being the last one.
There’s always more to the story, even when you have video. And to Zeke Miller’s credit above, he did retweet the corrections from both Paul and Bash.
