NY Assemblyman exposes real gun control CONFISCATION agenda of Democrats

In this video, NY Assemblyman Steve McLaughlin is asked to keep quiet a proposal by Democrats to confiscate guns:

On his Facebook page, McLaughlin went ahead and released the list:

“Here it is. This is the video where I was asked to keep the Democrat proposals for the NY SAFE Act away from the public. This list was given to me by a colleague and it is not confidential.

This bill was an attack on the 2nd amendment and the Democrats clearly wanted to dismantle the work of the Founding Fathers. None of these amendments were included in the final bill thanks to us fighting back. I will not stand silent while these unpatriotic proposals are pathetically thrown at us a 11 o’clock at night:

1. Confiscation of “assault weapons”
2. Confiscation o ten round clips
3. Statewide database for ALL Guns
4. Continue to allow pistol permit holder’s information to be replaced to the public
5. Label semiautomatic shotguns with more than 5 rounds or pistol grips as “assault weapons”
6. Limit the number of rounds in a magazine to 5 and confiscation and forfeiture of banned magazines
7. Limit possession to no more than two (2) magazines
8. Limit purchase of guns to one gun per person per month
9. Require re-licensing of all pistol permit owners
10. Require renewal of all pistol permits every five years
11. State issued pistol permits
12. Micro-stamping of all guns in New York State
13. Require licensing of all gun ammo dealers
14. Mandatory locking of guns at home
15. Fee for licensing, registering weapons”

And people scoff at conservatives like Rush who have been saying for years that Democrats want to confiscate weapons.

          We were planning on going to our local outdoor range yesterday but it snowed all day. Just finished shoveling our driveway/parking lot with my lovely bride. It was 14.9F out there when we started, with some serious windchill factor. It’s warmed up a bit…now it’s 17F 🙂

            Thanks for posting the pix! I went to a gun / knife show in a relatively small armory yesterday, parking lot was full, cars were 4 deep in the neighboring grassy areas (in the snow) wall-to-wall people. I stayed away from our Capitol (blue state) not knowing if the crazy liberals would be counter-demonstrating. Our NBC station covered it but not CBS or ABC (shocked that NBC did). There were 2 Veterans with US flags that continued to hold them at the end of the event until everyone had returned to their cars. Quite moving.

      Unfortunately, this NY bill was initially passed through the NYS Senate which is controlled by so-called Republicans. So all these posts complaining about the Democrats although true enough, are not really applicable to this horrible law.

      Not that the Dems would not have been ecstatic to have all the crazy stuff in the long list mentioned, if they could have gotten the Republicans to cave more than they already did.

    Confiscating guns is just the first step. I believe they are secretly working on rewording the entire Constitution, starting with the Bill of Rights. Most of them are already in effect:

    The Bill of illegal rights:

    1) We have the right to kill our unborn children, but those same children have no right to life.

    2) Muslims have the right to unfettered religious zeal, but Christians have no rights in the eyes of the State.

    3) Liberals have the right to any sexual aborration known to man, therefore, the God-given sanctity of marriage must not solely belong to one man and one woman.

    4) Illegals have the right to not be background-checked, but that right does not extend to legal gun owners.

    5) Foreigners have the right to enter this country illegally, but it takes 20 years to enter legally.

    6) We have the right to illegally vote, but we do not have the right to ensure that our legal vote is not compromised.

    7) We have a right to government entitlements (hence, the name ‘entitlement’), but we do not have the right to the fruits of our own endeavours.

    8) People should not be judged by the color of their skin, unless that color is white.

    These truths we hold to be somewhat evident, that all men are created equal in the eyes of the government: to be equally governed, heavily taxed, and totally cared for by our ruling class.

Clearly what was on the list was known to both sides, otherwise the requested to keep it quite due to the opposition it would create would not have been put forth. Joe claims, “…not to have their own list or rejected senate proposals…”, clearly he knowns what is on the list by his actions…

    He had a duty to put the list forth to the public, he failed be to do so before the vote. Sorry, it’s nice to see the list now but it should have been out sooner! Going along to get along seems to be a one sided agreement. Reminds me of, “We have to pass the bill to see whats in the bill” politics.

    The best way the government to get their way with this is through TAXES not actual confiscation.
    A box of Shotgun shells: $ 50
    A box of 9 mm shells: $ 75
    etc., etc.
    I truly believe a physical confiscation would result in a REVOLT. I would.

      High taxes only encourages bootlegging. High taxes doesn’t solve any problem. Generally, it only creates new ones. When the tax gets high enough, there will be a spike in selling ammo, or any other item under the table for cash.

      Then the govt has to spend more money to hire agents to go after the bootleggers and lawyers to prosecute them. In some cases, that might even exceed the incoming tax revenue.

      And the original problem still exists.

        However, I don’t see how [as much as some may like] a confiscation of civilian firearms. As a landscaper, I’m good at logistics, so I think in those theories. I’ve heard theories of other what ifs. Communication blackouts, marshal law, etc. Any thoughts?

          My fear Landscaper is they will lock down schools when the kids snitch on their parents and take the kids into “gov’t custody” for their safety until the parents turn in their guns. The Gov’t controls all those social programs and agencies as well as the schools.

                  I wish these large public companies would utilize their foundations to issue grants to homeschool groups.  Some have onsite daycare so why can’t they set up charter schools onsite that are run by the employee parents. I know I’m preaching to the choir but it seems so darn simple to me.

                If parents make the necessary cuts in their budget, they can home school. How do I know? My wife and I are living proof. We realized our children were more important then having two cars and cable tv and other things that weren’t necessary. My wife quit her RN job and stayed home with our children to raise them and home school them. We now have three school aged children that she schools. I know there are some (very few) that have circumstances that may not allow this, but the LARGE majority of parents that say they can’t make it work, just think they need to keep up with the “Jones'”. Just look around your neighborhood, parents have to have two jobs to pay for all their toys! Again, I’m living proof that if you have your priorities straight and have a desire, it can be done.

                Parents can’t keep a keen eye on their children in public schools, that’s just it. They can try to teach them values for the three hours a night that they have contact with them but the next day they turn them over to a system that brain washes them for 8 hours! Schools have them for 8 hours a day and parents spend 4 hours, tops, with them a day. It’s not only the teachers, it’s the negative influence from the rude, undisciplined, vulgar children that they spend time with all day. Parents can’t compete with that.

                  John,  I think it is fantastic that you and your wife are able to homeschool.  It’s very sad but we have a divorce rate over 50% plus a lot of which are born to single parents.  I don’t say I agree with it but it is reality.  And yes you are correct, many two-parent families put more emphasis on keeping up with the neighbors than loving and educating their children.

          I’m hearing and it sounds plausable the government will put restrictions directly on the manufacturers (production & controls). A bit like tax comes out of your salary before you ever see it. Heard also Walmart is playing ball by not selling ammo or guns in many areas. I didn’t confirm the talk.

      Read about new Bills that will require gun owners to purchase insurance…it continues. Imagine the Insurance company not insuring you–guns by by–or charging an arm and a leg because you hunt; etc.

      The bottom line is: All Governments, no exceptions, have a goal of impoverishing their subjects to the point that any ability to oppose the Government is reduced to zero.

    Even if 80% of gun owners were convinced to disarm, that leaves 16 million owners who are now criminals for not complying.

        • The only way to save this country is to start cutting off outside influence in our political process. The billions of dollars spent by foreign banks needs to end. The UN needs to be outed. The treaty slate needs to be wiped clean. The war powers and their funders need to be axed. We need trade equalizers in place.

          Some objective outsiders looking into our electoral process simply say that it is a joke. There is more than enough proof, but Americans can’t see the writing on the wall for their political lack of objectivity. The media spins election fraud as being a voting issue, rather than a vote counting issue.

          I have determined to fall back politically and focus on my local governement. My sheriff was one of the ones who recently declared that his department would not enforce, nor allow enforcement of new gun bans. It is imperative that we support those guys in a real way. There is little that we can do right now to change the direction that D.C. is going. The media and government have the bully pulpit and the bull horn nationally, and they have an army of ignorant, brainwashed masses that will lay down and die by the hands of their benefactors. It is depressing at times.

        It is interesting to note, the black communities in the inner-cities are in worse shape physically and mentally under the auspices of their government benefactors than many of the slaves were in the south. At least for most in the South, as long as the towed the line, they were safe and secure. Blacks have a special history of government targeted manipulation that can be used against the left. When they find out what history reveals about planned parenthood and government experimentation on blacks, they don’t like it too well. I like how she just said “oh, yeah”! “You’re right”. “Obama is a liar and a deceiver”. Then she goes on to describe exactly what AJ was telling her.

              I’d like to see a few thousand “Obama Deception” videos circulated in her neighborhood. Let’s see how many people campaign for the left after that.

      depends on the language in NY’s state constitution regarding the right to keep and bear arms. Some states don’t have it in their constituion (california and a couple others I believe). The 2d Amendment prohibits the federal gov’t from infringing on the right to keep and bear arms.

    Sarah Palin predicted Obama would use Obamacare to push for gun control.

    She was right.

    Remember, MA Gov. Romney raised revenue by upping the cost of gun registration fees significantly. Since Romney’s usurpation of powers, socialist governorship has been the model for Obama’s presidency thus far, look for this sort of tactic…and for interminable delays in receiving permits.

    Some obliging SCOTUS justice will say it’s just a tax on guns and not an infringement of Constitutional rights, but Obama’s EOs and Bills (and those of his fellow travelers, like Cuomo and Christie) will really be a punishments/deterrents/obstacles to gun ownership and harrassment of gun owners.

      With regards to gun registration via Obamacare the following indicates EO #16, Clarify that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit doctors asking their patients about guns in their homes, is true – doctors can ask but can’t tell!

      Excerpt from Obamacare, Pages 2037-2039:



      A wellness and health promotion activity implemented under subsection (a)(1)(D) may not require the disclosure or collection of any information relating to—
      (A) the presence or storage of a lawfully possessed firearm or ammunition in the residence or on the property of an individual; or
      (B) the lawful use, possession, or storage of a firearm or ammunition by an individual.

      None of the authorities provided to the Secretary under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act or an amendment made by that Act shall be construed to authorize or may be used for the collection of any in14
      formation relating to—
      (A) the lawful ownership or possession of a firearm or ammunition;
      (B) the lawful use of a firearm or ammunition; or
      (C) the lawful storage of a firearm or ammunition.

          I’d like to think doctors can’t ask also but I can’t find anything in this section of Obamacare that would specifically prevent the questions unless the patient takes the 5th. As I understand this section and please correct me if I’m missing something, the Feds cannot, in the first place require the doc to do so but if the doc does ask and patient tells then the Feds cannot retain any firearm/ammunition/storage info obtained. I suspect EO 16 suggests if a patient’s answers to a doctor’s questions indicate the person is a threat to themselves or others the issue would be turned over to local police and then is no longer an Obamacare issue. And that opens up another can of worms. I apologize for going off topic, folks, but thought the Obamacare gun control issued needed some clarification.

    This is going to be very serious for the individual. The first responsibility of government is to protect its people. What if it doesn’t?….especially, internally. Then, limits the bullets to 5 ??
    Confiscating? — you mean, confiscating the 2nd amendment!
    There’s an agenda going on and it will be necessary to disarm the people enough, and give the advantage to attackers. All this because of some deranged person shooting up children in Newtonville? All because there were no armed guard or adminstrators who had guns?
    I saw a mother who apparently was one that lost a child say things about needing gun control. If it was me, I would have demanded an armed guard be guarding the main door, and teachers trained in firing hand guns. I wouldn’t be asking for further disarmamnent. If this is what our society has come to, then so be it. Obama knows very well what the truth of the matter is, but it doesn’t fit his need to disarm ciizens enough for them to be effective against the bad guys. He didn’t have a 24th point to “make sure” guns are not smuggled out of the country and back in again. Maybe his muslim friends in the country want the odds in their favor when they attack us. Nothing is far-fetched to me anymore. We must ask ourselves WHY he’s pushing this.

    I had watched a rebroadcast of NY Assembly discussing the new “law” a few days ago and it was chilling to see time after time when (D) Lentol (50th district) was asked if this new registration would have made any difference in Sandy Hook. He replied “no” each time. I watched the “same” rebroadcast last night and was shocked to notice that the thing had been heavily edited to remove many of the times that he was asked the question and his response – particularly of when dems had asked him that question.

    People everywhere need to pay close attention to the sneaky side of this – the “mental heath” side of it.
