Obama nominates John Kerry for Secretary of State

Obama just nominated John Kerry for Secretary of State a few moments ago, citing that Hillary was also very excited with the nomination. As I’ve said in the past, I just don’t think it matters much who will replace Hillary Clinton because Obama runs the show in Washington and handles most of the serious foreign policy stuff himself.

Understand how history repeats itself with today’s persecution of Christians in Islamic countries and compare to the plight of the Jews in Nazi Occupied Europe. Click here for details.

That said, the Weekly Standard is raising some issues with the Kerry nomination, noting that he’s got some investments in companies accused of violating Iranian sanctions and that he has been a frequent visitor to Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad. The latter could put him at odds with Obama who wants the dictator removed, however I doubt with Assad’s actions in the past year or so that Kerry will support him in any fashion.

So, ho hum I guess is my feeling over the whole announcement. And he’ll probably get nominated without any trouble because, to quote Lindsey Graham,

Well Ketchup boy is an anti American fraud and a whole lot of other things which I won’t say out loud- so he’ll fit in well with the dear leader administration. Now, who’s on tap for Sec. of Defense? Hanoi Jane?

    • MiketheMarine

Stop giving them ideas, Duckie. He just might listen to that suggestion. Oh my goodness.

      • Doh! Sorry. my bad. YIKES!

Joe McCarthy would have a field day with this bunch..

It’s a great pity that the young haven’t been taught proper history, nor how to read books.
Whittaker Chambers’ autobiography is a good start, and documents how far back in time the communists have started, trying to undermine the USA.

  • Cindy09

    Ketchup everybody??

    • Any brand but Heinze. 🙂

      • PicklePlants

I recently ‘fessed up’ to my family that years ago, when Ketchup Kerry was running for President, I decided to not buy Heinz anymore. My (young) kids put up a fuss saying that they loved Heinz Ketchup.

Deciding it was wiser to pick and choose my battles, I started to buy another brand, and continually refill the Heinz bottle as it neared empty. Once in a while I would clean it and fill it fresh – kinda like a restaurant! They (and my wife) never knew.

This went on for so many years (about 12 I guess) it became automatic for me, and the kids grew up, never knowing what I was doing!

Now they can accept that we don’t buy Heinz, but every once in a while I check to make sure they aren’t refilling the ‘other brand” to get me back.

        • LOL! Thanks for sharing that 🙂

        • Cindy09

That’s an awesome story!!! LOL!! I do my best to steer away from Heinz too!! 🙂

        • poljunkie

          you rock!

        • lol! Smart! I haven’t bought Heinze anything for years now either- but since I do the shopping, the boys had no say in the matter 😉
I like your style though PicklePlants!

    • poljunkie

I looooooove Ketchup on fries. (with Tobasco, and crushed chili flakes!)

Sadly we can no longer afford to buy W. Ketchup!!! 🙂

We’ve been buying Hunts which isnt too bad.

  • Welp — time to Botox and touch up your plastic face again, Mr. Kerry.

All eyes are on you now.

    • I wonder how much of the national debt we could pay if ketchup boy and stretch pelosi gave up their botox for 6 months? I mean it’d be a horror show for sure to look at them, but hey, it’d be good for the collective right?

  • MadAsHellJack

He will most likely sail through the hearings because there is no one in the rino congress with any integrity or balls. If there were though, they should demand to see his DD214, his tax records, read every damning word he said while meeting with the enemy in Paris and before congress, his scathing words about our military, his hidden wealth and on down the line. Unfortunately the givernment of the United States has become despicable!

  • Orangeone

Is it just me or does Ketchup Boy look like he needs to smear some on those cheeks to look alive?

    • Drudge has a picture of Kerry with his hands together as if praying.. I think the caption should be “Oh, Thank you SATAN! er… I mean NObama… Sorry, didn’t mean to use your secret name….”

      • Orangeone

  • God help us. Obama is nominating one of the most inept people in Washington when it comes to foreign policy. Kerry is going to make Hillary look like Benjamin Disraeli, and that’s saying A LOT. We really are doomed.

Who cares! Republicans, get in gear and try to derail this nomination.

    • JRD1

Get real! The senate is one “Big Government” club. All the gopE dopes will confirm him no problem.

  • With Lurch as SoS, I feel sooo much better. Incompetency promotes incompetency, Rush is right, to succeed on the left is to Fail and I am quite surprised that the failure of UN ambassador did not rightly promote her to the office. For when did Obama care what R’s said about anything.

    • Wigglesworth

If success on the left is to fail then when does the left consider themselves to have failed? When they can’t stick the blame on someone else.

  • kong1967

What a joke. We went from one idiot to an even bigger idiot.

    • Rocco11

the Left fail up, like their unions, it’s a corrupt ponzi scheme (with our money)

      • kong1967

  • Sober_Thinking

The military absolutely HATES Kerry. Not that it seems to make any difference… the last SoS allowed Americans to die, so… Count on Obama to put despots and bootlickers in positions of power all around him so he can manipulate their actions and words. No surprise here – pick the worst candidates for this position and John Kerry would be in the Top 10.

I’ll give Obama this – he is consistent with his ridiculously selfish and ignorant decisions.

  • bjohnson55

This will be known as Part II of Dumb and Dumber.

Another great cabinet member in the Doofus-in-Charge’s administration. Didn’t Kerry cheat on paying taxes on a yatch?????? I think he did. He’ll fit in perectly with the rest of the crooks, liars, and cheats.

  • 911Infidel

So what’s John Effing Kerry’s title going to be? Secretary of Traitors? He went to VN don’t ya know.

Here’s what John Kerry should say but won’t. This is from a “Winter Soldier” who has since told the truth about Kerry’s traitorous diatribe in 1971:

“Steve Pitkin wants to apologize to Vietnam veterans for what he did and said at the Winter Soldier Investigation. “The VVAW found me during a difficult time in my life, and I let them use me to advance their political agenda. They pressured me to tell their lies, but that’s no excuse for what I did. I just want people to know the truth and to make amends as best I can. I’d hate to see the troops serving today have to go through what Vietnam veterans did.”

  • maynardb50

Excellent. J.Kerry for Sec. of State. and then maybe Jane Fonda for Sec. of Defense.
How bad can it get? Quick, everyone turn in your weapons, time to surrender.

  • virginiagentleman1

And we wonder why our nation is in such bad shape?
    Obama with two terms.
Clinton to Kerry at state, going from bad to worse!
The guy BETRAYED his own brothers in arms! Be prepared to see more dead Americans in our embassies.

  • 57thunderbird

Hey John! Why the long face traitor?

  • tinlizzieowner

I’ll give Hanoi John one thing, he knows plenty about anti-American protests.
    😉 😉

  • RedDaveR

The one good thing out of this is that we get Kerry out of Massachusetts. I just hope we can pull a surprise and not send another version of Senator Pocohontas to replace him.

    • tinlizzieowner

      Keep dreaming. 😉

  • Biggbear52

A Little off topic here but Odildo says fiscal cliff not avoidable in ten days. First of all if there were a fiscal cliff we fell over it the minuet we exceeded 12 trillion as that is just the surface. Our actual debt is a whopping 88.6 trillion. Secondly I have said it before and will again. Odildo needs to be in iron’s in Leavenworth awaiting the hangman’s noose for acts of high treason, acts against the American and world peoples, crimes against America. Like selling guns to known terroristic Nations and or dangerously violent factions such as known drug/ killing cartels. Not one thing has he or his chi-thug cronies have done something for the U.S in any fashion. Now the latest is holding the country for ransom so he, in the presumed end, can look not only like the hero but the victor as well. This son of a Kenyan communist dog has proven his insanity and is not fit for any public office. If anyone else had done the bull mess this punk has done. They would have already been executed by the hangman or worse.

  • tinlizzieowner

Hanoi John Kerry always was going to be the nominee. Rice was never nominated, only proposed. You have to understand how the Obama ‘machine’ works.
They sent Rice out to spread the diversion about what had really happened in Benghazi before the election and threw her name in for possible Sec. of State to keep the ‘media’ going on this until after the election.
Now that he’s still the President and he still has the Senate, he can slide Hanoi John in, without having to put up with all the criticisms of Kerry making much difference.
These people are no fools. They have been playing us like fiddle for years. Until you’re willing to accept the fact everything they say has something just the opposite behind it, they still will.

    • tinlizzieowner

Here’s another little tid bit. The machine will ‘suggest’ that Hillary resign (due to ill health) and slide Hanoi John in before she ever testifies before Congress. And yes, they can do just exactly that. As a private citizen, there are questions she does not have to answer. 😉 😉
I could be wrong….. but when it comes to the antics of this administration, I haven’t often been.

  • Dr_TJL

    Lurch. You rang?

HEADLINE; The traitor nominates a traitor.

  • dover2

Perhaps the first place he should go to is benghazi and stay at the now closed American embassy. At the VERY LEAST the next SoS should be at one of those places that obammi has backed the “new” muslim botherhood esp on 9/11————

  • Malkiel_kol_hakavod_la_el

  • white531

    Who really cares? Really.

  • white531

Look at that picture. At least ten microphones and who knows how many cellphones. Trying to record what an idiot might say. What has happened to this country?

  • white531

If I were the Leader of a foreign country right now, I would have the same opinion of The United States, as Israel’s leader, Benjamin Netanyahu, a man I respect immensely.

This country, that is called, “The United States of America,” is a country full of idiots, led by idiots. They have become a, “factory,” of idiots. Because they produce them so easily.

Obama failed in everything he tried to do in his first term. Idiot.

In spite of that, they elected him a second time. Idiots.

In spite of the fact that everything he tried to do, was a total failure, the Republicans were unable to take advantage of that. Bigger idiots.

We have become a nation of Idiots. Those who lead us, and those who keep voting them into office. And still, we deny that we are idiots, for allowing it to keep happening.

How long can we keep doing that, do you think, before people start calling us Idiots?

Obama’s Orwellian Double-Speak: I’ve Made the US ‘Safer, Stronger and More Respected in the World’

    Read more: http://joemiller.us/2012/12/obamas-orwellian-double-speak-ive-made-the-us-safer-stronger-and-more-respected-in-the-world/#ixzz2FnuiFgGJ

At yesterday’s nomination of Senator John Kerry as the United States’ next Secretary of State, Obama made the ridiculous statement that he’d made the US “safer, stronger and more respected in the world.”
How any American could possibly believe this crazy talk is beyond me.
Anyone who spends more than a minute or two each day reviewing the news can see that Obama’s entire Middle East policy has completely unraveled, leaving the world deeply destabilized.
Obama thinks things are safer? How about Iran’s ever-advancing nuclear program, with its weapons manufacturing now buried so deep underground that it’s immune from our bombs. Iran has been so emboldened by Obama that, according to Hillary Clinton, the Persians are now spreading terrorism to our next door neighbor, Mexico, and creating new alliances with drug cartels.

  • bobemakk

He is just another tax cheat. Remember when he docked his new boat elsewhere to avoid taxes in his home state. A fake and a phony just like Obama.

  • mikeinidaho

    Not NO, but HELL NO!
and not just because he’s Obama’s choice, either. He has been a traitor since Viet Nam and continues to sell out this country to this day. No wonder Obama likes him.
    Birds of a feather…

  • WordsFailMe

O/T:All I have to add today is that we need to get armed guards to protect public schools and other public places before the muslims out-number the other violent, uncivilized morons inhabiting this continent.

The more armed Americans, showing their faces and their CC bulges on the street, the better. We are not afraid to defend ourselves against all enemies, foreign or domestic. It’s only a matter of time before the devil worshiping terrorists adopt the public murder tactics of these, ever-increasing, undisciplined, mother-boy, effeminate, un-fathered perverts and psychopathic murderers and happily splash innocent, non-muslim blood in a hundred classrooms to force the rest of us onto our knees.

These liberal scum, attacking you and your rights because you do not fear them, are merely the hand-maidens to the beardy, foul, head banging scourge of this earth.

Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New year.

  • XVI Amendment, United States Constitution, Section 3:

“No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.”

I think this should be seriously looked at, considering Kerry’s anti-American activities, during the Vietnam War, and his cavorting with AVOWED enemies of America, such as the hated Hanoi Jane.

  • To think John Kerry, the guy who’s insulted our troops and lied about his own war record, would get a pass from the Senate is beyond disturbing.
McCain, Graham, possibly even gun control queen Feinstein wouldn’t have voted for Susan Rice. They will very likely vote for Kerry.
Dude, earth to McCain? Kerry insulted people like you before Congress! As someone who got tortured by the Vietcong, are you bothered at all that he lied about his own war service?

  • dontdrinkthecoolaid

Just goes to show you, the progressives, not matter what side of the aisle they’re on, take care of their own. Where’s the outrage over his military record, personal investments and general political record? Oh hum, it right.

    • Oh, didn’t you hear? All those are lies. Just keep moving. He never lied about America’s warriors at a hearing about Viet Nam. He really did throw his own medals over the fence. He’s so put upon. You are just a meany.
Oh wait.. I got that backwards…

  • I wonder if ALL of his cabinet members are tax evaders.
