Obama’s Foreign Policy Taking Hits From All Sides As Dems Defect On Iran

Fox’s Ed Henry reports on the increased pressure on President Obama to take a harder stance against Iran.

Iran, once again calling America the great Satan, has so far bested the Obama administration in the chess game of nations. Now even some Democrats want the President to do something about. As the Free Beacon reports, “16 Democratic senators have joined with 43 Republicans in support for a bill increasing economic sanctions on Iran.”

The White House pushed back against those democrats accusing them of urging military action without having the guts to say so. Yes, the White House is accusing congressional dems of stealth warmongering. It’s getting ugly.

This is the same wee that we have seen the revelations from Robert Gates’ new tell-all that paint a picture of a self-interested Commander-in-Chief who not only doesn’t understand America’s foreign policy interests, but openly admits to not caring about them.

President Obama is one of those classic left wing democrats upon whom the stereotype of the disinterested, anti-military, domestic policy obsessed politician are based. His policies with regard to Iran mirror his attitudes about Iraq and Afghanistan. He just wants it off his plate. It’s an annoyance to him, a distraction from his goal of a glorious workers paradise at home. Domestic socialism trumps American interests abroad in every way for the community organizer in chief. Which is why the revelations in Gates’ book about what the president has to say about foreign policy aren’t shocking for the content, but rather only for their brazen and blatant matter-of-factness.

The Democrat defectors are demanding the President have a plan B at the ready on Iran.. I’d be happy if they had a plan A. Right now, we’re just on auto-pilot: acquiesce and forget.
