Yesterday DISQUS sent me an email telling me they were going to stop the old version of their service and only focus on the newer version called DISQUS 2012. Unfortunately, that forced me to switch to the new version, a version that most do not like here as we’ve tried it before. And as I could have predicted, there were many complaints with the new version yesterday after the switch. That led me to look for alternatives.
What you are now seeing at TRS is a new commenting system called Livefyre. So far I like very much the features it offers and it seems to be a great alternative to DISQUS. I’ve even been able to change the look to make it more appealing.
Given that I just switched last night, our old comments haven’t been imported yet and I’m waiting on Livefyre Support to begin the process. They should show up some time today. Until then, just keep commenting as normal and feel free to post your thoughts below.
